桜切るバカ、梅切らぬバカ・・・フェイスブックより

亡父が５０年以上前に植えた八重桜が満開です。どうしたことでしょう。今年は白っぼく咲いてます。原因は大きくなり過ぎたので私が枝を落としたからと思われます。やはり「桜切るバカ」か。来年はピンクも混ざり、私を祝福するでしょうか。

現在、１７鉢ある君子蘭すべてが咲いてます。ご覧の通り、赤いシャクナゲが咲き始めました。私の庭では赤は貴重です。西洋シャクナゲには未だ咲いてない品種があります。「筑紫」という日本シャクナゲの開花は来週です。
