明治６年１月１日より太陽暦を採用

今日は太陽暦採用【を決定した】記念日です。以前は旧暦であったことから、昔の人は月の形で日にちを知りました。また、仏滅の日に生まれると誕生日は毎年、仏滅となり、あまり嬉しくなかったと推測します。明治６年１月１日より太陽暦が採用され、最も明るい一等星シリウスが午前０時に真南に来る瞬間を１月１日にしています。南半球ではシリウスが真北に来る瞬間です。

　
Today is the solar calendar anniversary. As it used to be the lunar calendar, former people knew the date by the phase of the moon. Also, when people born on unlucky day, their birthday becomes unlucky day every year, I guess they were not very happy. Since January 1st in Meiji era 6, the solar calendar was adopted, and the moment when the brightest first-magnitude star "Sirius" comes to the due south at 0 hour midnight is January 1st. In the southern hemisphere, the moment that "Sirius" comes to the due north is the beginning of New year.
