鳩放す 荒船山頂 絶壁から

　遠くに見える頂上が平らな山は「荒船山」で、倉賀野から撮影しました。牛の背のようなこの山に５回登りました。いわゆるテーブルマウンテンです。頂上から見ると、その大昔に周囲が陥没して硬い岩盤が残ったのではないかと推定します。５年ほど前、この頂上から５羽のレース鳩を放しました。鳩も高度(１４２３ｍ)に驚いたことでしょう。すべて無事に家に戻りました。この山は群馬県と長野県の県境にあります。

The mountain with a flat summit that can be seen in the distance is "Mt. Arafune" taken from Kuragano-town. I have ever climbed this mountain 5 times and the shape is like a cow's spine. It is a so-called table mountain. When viewed from the top, it is presumed that the surrounding area was sunk in the remote ancient times perhaps that was in the Mesozoic era and hard rock remained. About five years ago, I released five racing pigeons from this summit. The pigeons would be surprised at the altitude (1423 m). They returned home safely. This mountain is situated at the border of Gumma and Nagano Prefecture in Japan.
