今感じる 後の祭りだ しだれレンギョー

　昨日の午後、鳩舎を解体した場所に大きな穴を掘りました。ここに枝垂れレンギョーを植えます。今までの場所では窮屈だったので、来春からは伸び伸びと自由に長い枝が垂れるでしょう。植え替えには梅雨の時季が相応しいので、今日は移植を頑張ります。

　写真は今春の開花時のもので、現在は長い新緑に覆われてます。このしだれレンギョウは５０年以上前に亡父が植えました。おそらく花の美しさに感動して手に入れたのてしょう。父ともっと話をすれば良かった。後の祭りだ。

 Yesterday afternoon, I dug a big hole in the place where I dismantled the pigeon loft. The hole is for planting the weeping forsythia as you see. It was cramped so far, so that a long branches will be able to hang freely from next spring. Since the rainy season is appropriate for replanting, I will do my best today for transplanting.

 The photo is the flowering this spring, but it is now covered with long fresh green. This weeping forsythia was planted over 50 years ago by my late father. Perhaps he was moved by the beauty of the flower and got it. I should have talked more with my father. It is too late now. The damage is done.

  今日は大変な重労働でしたが、予定通り、大きなしだれレンギョーを移植できました。現在、夜であっても根元に水をたくさん与えてます。これから毎日雨が降る予報なので、枯れることはないでしょう。

  今宵は一杯飲んで、「よくやった」と自分で自分を褒めてます。　おや、どこかで聞いたセリフだ。

 Today was a hard work, but as planned, I was able to transplant a large weeping forsythia. Currently, even at night, I give lots of water to the roots. It is forecast to rain every day from tomorrow, so it will not die.

 I have a drink now and I'd like to praise myself for doing it well. Oh, it's lines I had ever heard somewhere.
