今年は柿のはずれ年か
どうしたことでしょう。よい香りのする金木犀が未だ咲きません。また、今年は柿の実も殆ど落ちてしまいました。まるで花の咲かない私の人生のようです。
ところで柿は熟すまで渋いですが、何故でしょう。実はこれは種族保存の現象らしいです。
大昔から山では鳥や猿やクマなどが柿を餌にしてますが、彼らも渋いと食べません。つまり渋いうちは種も育ってないので柿が繁殖しません。甘く食べごろになると種も成長し、熊の糞の中から種が芽を出す自然界の法則と考えられてます。【写真は昨年のもの】

〆張鶴さんへ・・「埴生の宿」の歌詞は素晴らしいですね。現役時代に確かギターの授業で、生徒全体がこの曲の伴奏をアルページョで行い、歌いながら弾けるようにした記憶があります。
