今の時季 ツバメは軒先 抱卵中

　ツバメが巣を作る場所は付近に邪魔ものがなくて入りやすく、猫や蛇、そしてカラスが来ない安全な家の軒先などです。その点、東隣の家は前に広い空間があり、入りやすく、現在、抱卵してます。私の家は庭に植木が森のようにあるため、今までツバメが巣を作ったことはありません。

　それにしてもツバメの素晴らしいさについて、これから生まれる雛は飛べるようになると餌となる虫を自ら探し、９月には日本列島を南下し、その後、海上を飛び、数千Ｋある赤道付近の遥かな南国へ飛んで行くのですから生れ持った方向判定能力と体力の早熟性には目を見張ます。しかも、翌春、日本に戻ります。ツバメの一生は７年位といわれてます。

　それに比べ、人間は生後５～６ヶ月では未だ歩けません。しかし、人間には１００年という晩成の可能性があります。ゆったり生きましょう。
