今の時季 庭を潤す マユミの実

　元々庭にある「マユミ」の木はたくさんの実をつけ、色彩に乏しい今の季節に潤いを与えています。実と言っても、食べることはできず、最終的には種を地上に落とすだけです。このため、先日、ご覧に入れた「マユミ」はこの樹木の子供です。

　ところで、不思議なことに、現在、野鳥は庭に全くその姿を見せず、どこか山にでも行ってるのでしょうか。晩秋から冬にはいつも戻って来ます。庭には野鳥の水飲み場を用意してありますが、今の季節に飲んでる姿を見ません。もしかして野鳥は人間が考えてる以上に遠方まで遠征してるのかもしれません。野鳥が庭を訪れてる姿ほど平和な光景はありません。

 The "Mayumi" tree which existed originally in my front yard, bears a lot of fruits and it is moisturizing this season which lacks color. To tell the truth, we can't eat it, it just drop the seeds on the ground. For this reason, the "Mayumi" I showed you the other day is a child of this tree.

 Not change the subject, but mysteriously, there are not wild birds in the garden at all now. Are they going somewhere in the mountains? I guess they will come back from late autumn to winter. There is a drinking fountain for wild birds in the garden, but I don't see them drinking recently. Perhaps wild birds are exploring farther than humans think. Nothing is more peaceful than a wild bird visiting the garden.
