年末に 一年感謝し すす払い

　庭の隅にある稲荷様は亡父が昭和初期に建てたものです。戦前なので機械で彫ったものではなく、近くの石屋さんに頼んで手彫りで作ったものです。裏には建設年月日と父の名が刻してありますが、１００年近く経過したので風化し、やっと読める程度です。

　使われてる岩石は花崗岩の一種で、親は御影石と言ってました。世代を超えて家屋敷と家族の平安を見守ってます。家族と言っても、ここには私一人が住んでるだけですが、亡父は会ったことのない近くにいる曾孫まで見守っているのでしょう。

　この稲荷様は青々した合歓木で覆われてます。いよいよ年末を迎え、新たな２０２２年が２週間後にやって来ます。願うことは不確実の世界情勢にあって、戦争のない世界、健康、そして娘たち若い人たちにとって自分らしく生きてほしいことです。

Dear my friends abroad

 This Inari-sama which is an individual shrine in the corner of my garden was built by my late father in the early Showa period (around 1925). Since it was before World WarⅡ, it was not carved by machine, but by hand carving by a nearby stonemason. The date of construction and the name of my father are engraved on the back, but since it has been nearly 100 years, it has weathered so that I can read a little.

 The rock used is a type of granite, and my parents said it was Mikage-stone which is one of the granites. The shrine is watching over the peace of the house, yard and family beyond generations. As I live here alone, but my deceased father may be watching over his great-grandchildren whom my parents have never met.

 This shrine is covered with lush silk tree. The end of the year is finally approaching, and the new 2022 will come two weeks later. My hope is that in an uncertain world situation, a world without war, health, and daughters and young people will live their own way.
