今の時季 ダイアモンドは 夜空にあり

　クリスマスが近づき、街角もきらきら光ってますが、実は、今の季節に日本上空には一等星が７個も集まって、空もきらきら光ってます。それは午後９時、１０時、１１時、１２時と東から次第に高く昇る「冬のダイアモンド」を形成する星たちです。その中には「冬の大三角」も含まれます。

　「冬のダイアモンド」をご自身の目で捉えられると、あまりの雄大さにきっと感動するでしょう。オリオン座はすぐに分かりますから、それを基に夜空を大きく見てください。最も北のカペラは稚内市の真上であり、最も南のシリウスはオーストラリア北部の真上です。オリオン座のウエストの三つ星は赤道上空です。ですから広範囲に広がってますが、日本からすべてよく見えます。

　この中には「NHK朝ドラ、Come come, everybody」のテーマ音楽の題名のアルデバランが輝き、そのすぐ右上にたくさんの星が集まってるスバルが見えます。冬の星座がますますきれいになる年末です。この機会に私たちも宇宙空間に浮いてることを実感してください。
