　今朝、早めに掛かりつけの眼科へ行ったら、珍しく一番に受付でき、９時から診察になりました。１年半前に白内障を手術した左目に最近、もやがかかり、ぼやけて見難かったためです。

　医師曰く「これは白内障を手術するとよくあることで、レーザーで焼きましょう。」とのこと。早速、別室で処置してもらい、２～３分程度でレーザーは済みました。

　ところで、年々、あちこちに不具合が生じます。しかし、大切なことは、そのまま放置せず、すぐ対処することと考えてます。

　ところで、栄養が良いためか、あるいは運動量が減ってるためでしょうか、最近、体重が増え、BMI＝2５です。大きな悩みがあるのに痩せず不思議です。私は体重が減ると体力がなくなるので、この数値を維持し、いつもの「テッポウ」で筋肉量を増やします。

風習は 民族独自で 個性的

一週間 すべて寄添う 旧正月・・・今年のみ

　今年の２月１日は旧暦の１月１日です。国立天文台によると、この日は誠に珍しく、宇宙では惑星たちと月と太陽が集合しています。つまり、一週間の名前の元となってる天体たち「日月火水木金土」がすべて寄り添ってます。今年は何か、よいことが起こる前兆でしょうか。

月一度 愛車にシャンプー 自ら実践

新年で 思い出すのは カシミール

最近は 大豆の製品に 凝っている

正月を 楽しみに待った 子供時代

　今日(1月28日)の早朝、南東の空に出ていた下弦の月を撮りました。日本では明治６年(1873)から太陽暦が採用されましたが、それ以前は太陰太陽暦(旧暦)でした。現代と異なり、カレンダーがなかった昔はこのような形の月が東の空に出ると「楽しいお正月まで、あと幾日」と日数を数えたのでしょう。

日本人 心安らぐ 障子文化

青春を 追憶させる 象の行進

　人生の第４コーナーに差し掛かった今となっては、民芸品を送っておいて本当によかったと思います。

　今日、早い時間帯に医療センターへ行きましたら、先日採取した上顎洞内に溜まった液体の検査結果が出ました。結果は、悪性ではないと担当医師から言われ、ホッとしました。

　今後の予定は２月末から3月に手術を行うことも決まりました。平素、痛くて寝られないことはありません。ですから、それまでは、近くの耳鼻咽喉科で通常の治療を施してもらいます。

　ところで、待合室の表示に良いことが書いてありましたので、ご紹介します。それは「起床時に、コップ一杯の水を飲む習慣が血液をサラサラにし、脳梗塞や心筋梗塞の発症を未然に防ぐとともに、胃腸に対して解毒作用がある」ということです。

【昨年1月23日の梅の花】

　梅の開花状況を見て、今年の冬は例年になく寒いことが分かります。昨年1月23日のフェイスブックを見ると、ご覧の通り、庭には品種名「鹿児島」の真っ赤な「花梅」が咲てました。どうしたことでしょう。この寒さは。

芽を出して 地上の様子を 見る水仙

　因みに冬至の昼の時間は９時間４１分でした。また、今日の太陽光の角度は地面に対し３３°(正午)であり、冬至では３0°でした。このため太陽光は少しずつであるが、次第に高くなりつつあります。

　ところで、太陽から約１億５千万キロメートル(AU1=１天文単位)離れて、やや楕円の軌道を反時計回りに公転してる私たちの地球は「大寒」の今日、私たち地球人は、一体、公転軌道上のどこを進んでいるでしょうか。

　これについては「どこと言っても」私たちは常に宇宙に浮遊してるので、すぐ分かる目印はなかなかありません。

　４月の日本はまだ寒くてもカルカッタはすでに真夏で、気温は１日のうちで午前１１時が最高となり摂氏４２°程です。この温度では運動した後のように脈が速く打ちました。

　暑い生活にやっと慣れてきたら５月いっぱい夏休みでこれは助かりました。夏休みには列車で１２時間かかった南のオリッサ州に行き、ベンガル湾で海水浴をしました。生活の違いで最も大きいことは暑いことと、四六時中、耳に入る言葉はベンガル語やヒンディー語、そして英語です。ベンガル語とヒンディー語は異なっる言語であっても、共通してる言葉が多いようです。私はなるべくインドの共通語であるヒンディー語を覚えるようにしました。

　当時、日本の書店ではヒンディー語の入門書は見当たらず、全くチンプンカンプンの状態で渡印し、毎日インドの方々に接していましたが、初めて彼らから覚えた言葉はガラムでした。さて、何のことでしょう。そのために必要なものはパニーでした。何でしょう。

　本日は当時、現地で覚えたヒンディー語の単語を中心に思い出してみます。

　 　前述のガラムは暑いということです。「今日は大変暑いです。」はアッジ・ボート・ガラム・ハイです。アッジは今日、ボートは大変、ハイは「です」ということ。語順は英語や中国語と異なり日本語と似てます。

　パニーも毎日よく使いました。つまり暑いので飲む水のことです。「これは飲み水ですか。」はイスカ・ピネカ・パニーです。イスカは「この」という意味です。ピネカは飲めるいうことです。

　タイトルの言葉を初めて聞いた時は笑いました。座って楽な椅子が苦しいなんて何とおかしなことでしょう。「この名前は椅子です。」はイスカ・ナーム・クルシイと変わった言い方になります。ナームは名前です。

　また良く使った言葉に「イエ・キア・ハイ」で、これは何ですか。ということです。これによってこちらから質問し、いろいろ言葉を覚えたこともあります。有難うはダンニャバードでよく使いました。

イエ・ケトゥナ・パイサは「これはいくらですか。」です。アビ・ケトナ・ダンは「今何時ですか。」です。

　男性のいる所で「ウダル・セ・ボート・アッチャー・ラルキー・アーターハイ」というと全員がすぐに遠くを見ます。ウダルはむこう、セはから、ボート・アッチャー・ラルキーは大変きれいな女性で、アーター・ハイは来ます。

　女性の前ではラルキーをラルカーにすれば、女性もやはりそちらをすぐ見るのですから、どの国の方も格好いい異性に興味があるのは同じですね。

　アップ・ジャンターハイ(あなたは知ってますか。)、ハム・ネイジャンター(私は知らない。)

青年の樹に肖り 一生勉強 一生青春

　退職記念として勤務してた前高の保護者から戴いた「青年の樹」(ユッカ)は今まで植木鉢に植えたままピアノの部屋に置いてありました。昨秋、思い切って玄関のそばに直植えました。今では寒さに負けず生き生きしてます。花言葉は「勇壮」「偉大」で、この植物はアメリカ・ニューメキシコ州の州花です。

　ところで、この学校に勤務中、特別講演会があり講師は前高の卒業生で、WHO(世界保健機関)事務局長の中嶋宏氏でした。中嶋氏の最大の功績は「世界のポリオの撲滅」といわれてます。

　特別講演会で、今でも、私の胸に深く刻まれてる言葉は「仕事と生活はすべて最初から英語で考えてる。日本人と会話では、その内容を日本語に訳して話してる。」とのことです。

　一方、群馬県で初めて内閣総理大臣になった人物も前高卒業生の「鈴木貫太郎」氏です。混乱した終戦時における第４２代内閣総理大臣です。世の中には凄い人がいるものです。

寒いゆえ 群馬の湯船で 温まり

　私の心はいつも寒いのに、その上、今日の群馬県は殊のほか寒かったので、午後3時頃よりドライブを兼ね、吉井ドリームセンターの日帰り温泉に行ってきました。

　昨日の上毛新聞に大きく掲載された記事を読み、私は本当にショックを受けました。群馬県の高校音楽教員として共に力を合わせてきたOさんが1年前に亡くなっていたことが分かったからです。

　記事は、近いうちに「追悼音楽会」が開催されることを伝えてます。彼とは苗場へスキーに行ったことも思い出され、私は親しく交流してました。また、常に周囲を明るくしてるお人柄でした。

　彼は声楽が専門で、趣味はいろいろ植物を育て、これがNHKで紹介されたこともありました。そして、現役の最後は桐女校長でした。

　身近だった人が天に旅立たれ誠に悲しいです。残念だったことは暫くお会いしてなかったことです。これから私は彼の分まで積極的に健康に取り組みたいと思います。合掌

  I was really shocked to read the article published in Jomo Shimbun Newspaper yesterday. I knew that Mr. O who had worked together as a high school music teacher in Gumma prefecture, died a year ago due to brain tumor.

  The article tells us that a "memorial concert" will be held in the near future. I remembered going skiing to Naeba with him, and I had a close relationship with him. Also, his personality always brightened his surroundings.

  He specializes in vocal music, and his hobby is growing various plants in his garden, and it was introduced on NHK. And the last of his active duty was the principal of Kirju girl's high school.

  It's really sad that the friend close to me left for heaven. Unfortunately, I haven't seen him for a while.

やってます 新年早々 筋トレを

　今日は嬉しい日曜日。ただ、海岸付近では津波に用心です。

　一般的に、年齢を重ねると筋肉量が減ることから私たちは意識して筋肉量の維持・増強に努めるべきでしょう。これは上半身と下半身について言えます。

　筋肉量が減ることで現れる現象は、先ず姿勢、歩く姿とスピード、嚥下能力、そして無表情などです。普通の生活だけでは筋肉は増えないので、簡単な筋トレを毎日の生活の一部にしたいものです。

　学生時代に習った「ルーの法則」は、鍛えることで筋肉量の維持・増強に結びつくというものです。これは年齢や性別に関係ありません。

　すぐにできる筋トレは柱や壁を使って行う「テッポウ」や「ダンベル」で上半身が、また、どこででもできる「スクワット」で下半身が鍛えられます。

　加えて、「筋トレ後に牛乳を飲む習慣」が効果があると考えます。自分とは、どこにいるかと言えば、私は筋肉の中に生きてると意識してます。

小さくも 前途有望 今に見ておれ

　この幹が曲がってる小さな樹木は何でしょう。これは種が落ちて自然に生えた「源平枝垂れ」の子供たちです。幹がくねっているのは幹が未だ柔らかいとき私が紐で縛り、形づくりました。１年後に紐を解いても幹は曲がったままです。高さ３～４mに成長しても幹は曲がったままで、上からたくさんの枝が垂れ下がり、見事に咲くと期待してますが、果たしてどうでしょう。

　これは人間の子育てのように、幼き時のしつけや、学習環境でその子の生涯が決まることに似てます。

　源平枝垂れは紅白に咲き分けますが、実際は「メンデルの分離の法則」により、子供の色は赤のみになったり、白のみになったり、親と同じく１本の木で紅白に咲くなど分離します。実は今春４月にその結果が出ます。

新年に 毎年植える 各種ユリ

　昨年の初夏に感じたことは「ユリ」の花が私の心を誠に虜にしたことです。今まで長年に亘り、数少ない日本シャクナゲや紅白に咲き分ける源平枝垂れ桃などに夢中でしたが、一方、「ユリ」には多種多様の花柄があり、しかも、球根であることから今後は毎年、初夏に多くの「ユリ」が庭を潤すことでしょう。昨年は5種類１５本ほどが咲きました。

　ところで、昨日、ドライブを兼ね前橋の花木センターで写真のリップグロスと命名された「ユリ」の球根を仕入れました。これにより、今年の初夏は庭が一段と華やかになるでしょう。

　「ユリ」の花は大きく見応えがあり、昔から女性の名前に使われるほどです。日本では「立てばシャクヤク、座れば牡丹、歩く姿はユリの花」と女性が形容され、庭にはこれらすべてが揃っており、美の競演は次第に近づいてます。

珍しく 一日２回の パトロール

【我が母校の倉賀野小学校、当時は木造でした。】

　今朝は７時30分から地元・倉賀野小児童の通学路を交通安全と不審者対策で巡回しましたが、たまたま今日は午後２時３０分からも１時間程度、下校の巡視をします。ですから珍しく一日２回のパトロールです。

　黄色い制服と帽子に身を包み、真面目な顔をして地区を巡回する私をご想像ください。少しでも、児童のためや地区の平安に自らが関わることで、これからも社会参加を続けます。

　子供に接したら真面目な顔から、柔和な顔に変貌しますので、ご安心ください。特に、声掛け運動に徹します。では行って参ります。

今の時季 野鳥の飛来 楽しむ私

　私は、小学４年から近年までレース鳩を飼育してました。ですから、人生の大半は、早朝に鳩の運動(舎外)を毎朝行ってました。鳩たちは集団でどこか遠方へ飛び去り、その姿が見えなくなります。

　その間、私は鳩舎内を清掃し、やがて１時間ほどすると鳩たちは家の上空へ舞戻って来て、私が口笛を吹くと一斉に鳩舎に入り、すぐに餌と水をやりました。この作業を半世紀以上続けました。もちろん職場に行く前であり、職場から帰宅しても、先ず餌を与えました。どちらも私自身が食事をする前です。

　現在はレース鳩を飼っていませんので、その代わり、庭に飛来してくるメジロなど野鳥を見るのが楽しみです。ご覧の通り、野鳥に水を与えてます。ところで、現在の自然環境は野鳥たちが水を飲む場所がありません。それは小川や堀がコンクリートで塞がれてるからです。

　実は、このブログは元々、レース鳩の研究や飼育記録を書くために立ち上げました。このため、ブログのタイトルが今でもPersimmon Marsh Loft(柿沼鳩舎)になってます。

　I have been breeding racing pigeons from the 4th grade of elementary school to recent years. So duration of most of my life, I did a pigeon's exercise (loft training) every early morning. The pigeons fly away in a group and disappear.

　Meanwhile, I cleaned inside the loft, and after about an hour, the pigeons flew back over my house. When I whistle, they all came in the loft immediately, then I fed and watered. I've been doing this duty for over half a century. Of course, before I went to work, and even when I got home from work, I first fed. Both are before my eating.

　Now I don't have racing pigeons, so instead, I'm looking forward to seeing wild birds such as white-eyes flying into the garden. As you can see, I am watering for the wild birds. By the way, in the current natural environment, there is no place for wild birds to drink water. That's because streams and moats are covered with concrete.

　In fact, this blog was originally launched to study racing pigeons and write breeding records. For this reason, the title of the blog is still "Persimmon Marsh Loft" which means Kakinuma Dovecote.

倉賀野小 音楽教育 本格的

　これは地元・倉賀野小学校の体育館の外壁をぐるっと一周して書いてある楽譜の一部で、私もこんな大きな楽譜は見たことはありません。とても珍しい光景で、実はこれはこの学校の校歌です。子供たちが平素から楽譜に馴染むように考え、体育館建設当時の先生方のアイディアによるものなのでしょう。

　ところで、コロナ禍以前に、私はこの倉賀野小の音楽会を聴きに行きましたが、本当に素晴らしい合唱、合奏の連続で感銘しました。

　どの演奏も児童が指揮しますが、中には指揮法を専門家について習ってるのではないかと思われるほど表情豊かで卓越した指揮法をしてる児童もいて本当に驚きました。

　子供とは素晴らしい天性を秘めてます。これを引き出す機会を与えるのが教師や大人の役目ではないでしょうか。

　This is a part of the music score written around the outer wall of the gymnasium of local Kuragano Elementary School, and I have never seen such a big score. It's a very rare sight, and actually it is the school song of this school. It was probably the idea of the teachers at the time of the gymnasium construction, thinking that the children would be familiar with the music score.

　By the way, I have ever listened to this school's concert before the Corona disaster, and it left a deep impression on my mind that the concert was a really splendid chorus and ensemble.

君子蘭 狂い咲きでなく 本番です

　原産地がアフリカと伝えられる「君子蘭」が咲き始めたとき、季節柄、私は狂い咲きか、と思ってました。ところが、次々と咲き出したり、他の植木鉢にも蕾が出てきました。ですから、これでは狂い咲きでなく、開花の本番です。

　やはり、植物も寒さ対策を施せば、人間の血液循環と同様に、栄養素がよく循環し、花が咲くのでしょう。現在は温かな廊下に5鉢が並んでます。

　元は隣の家から戴いた１鉢でしたが、すでにその鉢は朽ちてしまい、今ある君子蘭はその子や孫にあたる子孫です。最初に１鉢プレゼントしてくださった隣人も近年この世を去りました。植物も人間も世代交代があります。

 　私の場合、狂い咲きはみっともないので避けますが、私には未だ夢や希望があり、暫く朽ちませんので、ブログを通じて交流をお願いいたします。

　When the "Kaffir lily" which is said to have originated in Africa, have began to bloom, I thought it was a crazy bloom due to out of season. However, it started to bloom one after another, and buds appeared in other flower pots. Therefore, this is not a crazy flowering, but a real flowering.

喜びだ!! 年重ねても 新たな発見

　歩いて5分の近くにあるセブンで偶然に買った「宇都宮餃子」(２５９円)が、こんなに美味しいものとは知りませんでした。

　一度食べたらやみつきになってます。この餃子の特徴は、薄い皮のもっちり感、たっぷり入っている野菜、焼くとパリパリになる皮にキャベツ・ニラ・ネギなどの野菜の甘さがマッチしてます。

　ところで、宇都宮に餃子が伝わったのは1940年（昭和15年）以降と言われ、満州(中国東北部)から帰国した宇都宮の軍人が製法を持ち帰ったことが始まりとされてます。

　栄養素が詰まっている感じで、何と言ってもエネルギーがあるのてしょう。最近の私は心は侘しくとも、まるで疲れを知らない子供のようです。

  I didn't know that the "Utsunomiya Gyohza which is the Chinese dumplings" (price 259 yen) that I bought by chance at Seven convenience store which is about 5 minutes on foot, is extremely delicious beyond description.

　Once you eat it, you'll be addicted to it I guess. The characteristic of this Gyohza dumpling is feeling chewy of the thin skin, the plenty vegetables in it, and the sweetness of vegetables such as cabbage, garlic, and green onions that we say nira that match the skin that becomes crispy when it baked.

  By the way, it is said that this Gyohza dumpling was introduced to the city of Utsunomiya in Tochigi prefecture after 1940 (Showa 15), Utsunomiya soldiers who returned from Manchuria (Northeast China) brought back the manufacturing method.

　I feel like it's full of nutrients, and after all, it has energy. Though I feel lonely everyday due to living alone, these days I am really behaving like a child who is tireless.

久々に 高速道路を １００k/hで

　今日は倉賀野から吉井ドリームセンターまで上信道を走りました。高速に乗るのは久々で、目的はエンジンの調子を維持し、高めるためです。Audi TT Quattro タイヤサイズ２４５－１９扁平率３５％は、恰も「水を得た魚の如く」路面に吸い付くように安定して前進しました。

　それにしても、藤岡インターから吉井インターまでは時間にして約１０分間です。時速は連続１００Kでも、距離の短さに車はさぞかし不満だったろうと思いますが、上信道は意外とカーブの連続でした。次回、少し春が感じられる温暖な頃にはもっと長い距離を乗りましょう。

　私自身も改めて高速道路での走りの素晴らしさを体感でき、爽快な気持ちになりました。

 Today I drove from my hometown Kuragano to Yoshii Dream Center of day spa. Recently I've never driven on highway for a long time. Therefore the purpose was to improve and maintain the condition of the engine. Audi TT Quattro's tires of 245-19 with a flattening of 35% has made steady proceeding so that it stuck to the road surface, as if it were like "a fish that got water".

 Even so, it takes about 10 minutes only from Fujioka Interchange to Yoshii Interchange. I thought that the car felt dissatisfied with the short distance even at the velocity of 100K / h, but high way named "Johshindo" was unexpectedly a series of winding roads dynamically. Next time, I will ride a longer distance on a warm day when it becomes a little spring.

年重ね 他人の幸せ お手伝い

　令和４年1月の３分の１が早くも過ぎました。群馬県でも今日を境に日の出時刻が少しずつ早くなります。しかし、現実には、未だ未だ寒い日々が続きますが、気持ちの面では少しでも「利他の精神」を高めたいと考えてます。

　ですから、今朝は比較的近所で一人暮らしの高齢女性のゴミ出しを、また、明朝から今週いっぱい地元倉賀野小児童の登校時の安全を期し、通学路の巡回をしつつ、挨拶など声掛け運動をします。

　ところで、写真は中国北京からお土産に買ってきたテーブルクロスを和室のテーブル掛けにしたら、サイズがぴったりし、寂しい私の日常生活が少しだけ華やいで見えます。もう少しで、紅梅・白梅を見ながら、ここでお茶を飲みつつお客様と歓談できるでしょう。

  One-third of January in 4th year of Reiwa(2022), has already passed. Even in my Gumma prefecture, the sunrise will be slightly earlier from tomorrow. In reality, the cold days will still continue, but in terms of my feeling, I'd like to enhance my "Altruistic Spirit" as much as possible.

  Therefore, this morning, I took out the garbage of elderly lady who live alone in the neighborhood. And from tomorrow morning, I will participate in a greeting campaign while patrolling the school road to ensure the safety of local Kuragano elementary school children when they go to school.

  By the way, the photo shows a red picturesque tablecloth that I bought as a souvenir from Beijing, China after visiting the well-known great Wall. Recently I used it for the table in a Japanese-style room, the size is perfect.

Therefore my lonely daily life looks a little gorgeous than before. In a near future, if possible, I will be able to chat with customers from NZ with drinking tea or liquor while watching the red and white plum blossoms. What a elegant and tasteful life is approaching in my near future!

降りる霜、立つ霜柱・・・上毛新聞「ひろば」より

タイトル・・・降りる霜、立つ霜柱　　

　一段と冷え込んだ朝方、霜柱の立った道を歩いた。平らな部分と、ぼこぼこ穴のあいてる部分がある。平らな方は、サックサック、穴の方はザックザック。麦踏でもするように踏みしだく音は小気味よく、きっぱりと冬を感じる。足元の枯れ草にもうっすら霜が降りていた。

　天気予報では「霜が降りる」と言う。その言い方に、私の中で多少の混乱があった。そもそも、霜は地上付近の空気中の水蒸気が冷えて凍ったもので、雨や雪のように雲から降ってきたものではない。もしかすると、大昔の人は霜を天から降りてきたものだと素直に勘違いしていたのかもしれない。

　「霜柱」は、土中の水分が地表にしみ出て凍結し、細い柱状群となって上方に成長し、表土を押し上げるもの。霜柱は立つという。

　地表の水蒸気が氷結して降りてくる感じがするのが「霜」、土中の水分が凍って上がってくるのが霜柱。

　冷蔵庫内に付着する氷の結晶も、霜と呼ぶ。「頭に霜をいだく」と言うように、白髪の比喩にも使う。変幻自在な「霜」も白い色だけは変わらない。　

年間で 最も遅い 今日の日の出

　皆様、毎日、寒い日が続きますが、いかがお過ごしでしょうか。一年で日没が最も早いのは冬至の日ではなく、１２月８日で１６時２８分【群馬県】でした。それ以来１ヶ月が経過した今日１月９日の日没時刻は１６時４６分予定です。

　このため、最近は暗くなるのが午後５時過ぎで、いくらか日が伸びたように感じられます。一方、日の出時刻については、一年で最も遅いのは冬至の日ではなく、今日で６時５６分【群馬県】です。しかし、１月１１日から日の出時刻が少しずつ早まります。

　ところで、地球の表面は冷め難く、温まり難くい性質があるので、春が感じられるのはまだ先です。そんな厳しい環境下でも、ご覧の通り、シャクナゲの蕾はかなり大きく膨らんできました。

健康と 実益兼ねて ウォーキング

　昨日の午後3時頃から片道２キロほどの倉賀野バイパス沿いに最近、開店した「K's電気」まで往復ウォーキングしました。今回は様子を見に行っただけですが、私が買いたいものは二つあり、その一つは温め専門のオーブン(通称チン)です。もう一つは、部屋の蛍光灯です。

　毎日、精神的に暗い生活を余儀なくされてる上に、部屋の電気まで暗いのです。このため生活改善し、せめて明るく生きたいです。店内の商品を見ると、体脂肪率が表示される体重計など欲しいものがたくさんありますが、強い心をもって衝動買いは避けます。近いうちに車で行って、上記の二つの電気製品を買います。

  From around 3:00 pm yesterday, I walked back and forth to the recently opened "K's Electric" along the Kuragano Bypass where is about 2 km one way. This time I just went to see the shop's situation, but there are two things I would like to buy, one of which is a warming oven (generally we say chin). 寒中でも 希望と夢は 持ち続け

　人間にとって、殊のほか寒い今年の冬です。それでも少しは温かくなる午前１０時過ぎには心に鞭を打ち、外で体を動かすようにしてます。幸い、庭にはいろいろ植木があり、中でも紅梅や、枝垂れ紅梅、思いのまま【紅白に咲き分け】、そして大きな白梅など５本の花梅の蕾が膨らんできています。

　これを見ると春はほんの少しではあるが、近づきつつあり、厳寒の中で縮こまりがちな私の心にまで、希望や夢が膨らむ感じです。

　ところで、半世紀以上経過しても、中学時代の担任の言葉「人間の脳とは、たくさん入れたつもりでも、未だ未だいくらでも入る余地がある。」との教えが忘れられません。

　これを胸に「一生勉強、一生青春」を継続したいと年頭に感じてます。しかし、先生はすでに天に召されてます。

　今日は二十四節気の一つ「小寒」です。太陽から約1億5千万㎞の距離を保ち、やや楕円軌道を描きつつ、毎秒約29㎞の速度で公転してる私たちの地球は「小寒」の今日、公転軌道上の一体どこを進んでいるでしょう。

　実は、どこと言っても大宇宙を漂う中では目印となるのは「星座」のみです。この宇宙には88の星座があるといわれ、このうち地球が公転を続けることによって太陽の背景に季節と共に移り変わる星座は「黄道１２星座」です。

　それらは春分点の近くにある「魚座」、そして「牡羊座」「おうし座」「ふたご座」「かに座」「しし座」、及び秋分点がある「乙女座」、そして「天秤座」「さそり座」「いて座」「やぎ座」「みずがめ座」です。

　逆に、地球は１２ヶ月の公転中、この「黄道１２星座」の前を通過することになり、と言っても光年単位の遠方です。「小寒」の今宵、午前０時に「ふたご座」が真南の空にあります。真南と言っても、かなり頭上に近いです。これにより、地球の公転上の現在位置が分かります。これは毎年同じです。

　空を見上げると一等星は全部で２１個です。その一つが、この「ふたご座」の兄のポルックスです。弟のカストロはポルックスに次ぐ光度です。前述の如く、「ふたご座」は今宵午前０時に真南にあります。もちろんこの時間の前後３時間ほどなら「ふたご座」を観察できます。

　話は変わりますが、私が初めて購入した車はいすゞ「ジェミニ」でした。これこそ「ふたご座」の名を取った車です。

　今の季節は星座がよく見えます。アルデバラン(NHK朝ドラ・Come come evrybodyのテーマ音楽の題名)は「冬のダイアモンド」の西の一角にある一等星です。つまり、「ふたご座」のポルックスが東で、「おうし座」のアルデバランが西に輝いてます。寒さ対策して観察しましょう。

いつの間に 姿を消した 金星よ

　最近まで、夕方に「宵の明星」として南西の空に輝いていた明るい「金星」がこの数日間、見えなくなったことに気づいてる人もいるでしょう。

　この現象は金星も惑星なので反時計回りに公転していることから、地球から見て、「金星」が太陽と地球を結ぶ線に近くなったからです。つまり、見かけ上、金星が太陽に近づいたので見え難くなったのです。

　一月上旬から中旬にかけて、金星が太陽とほぼ同時に西の地平線に沈み、ほぼ同時に東の空に出るので見えないです。

　このため今後、「金星」の公転が進んで１月20日頃になれば今度は日の出前に東の空に「明けの明星」として出現しますから、その時まで待ちましょう。

　それまでは現在、夜中に輝いてる巨大な「冬のダイアモンド」を眺めましょう。この中には朝ドラ「Come come everybody」のテーマ音楽となってる一等星「アルデバラン」が頭上近くに輝いてます。

　写真は若き日に３回登頂した浅間山(２５６８m)です。山頂からの景色は抜群の美しさで、西に北アルプスの連なり、南に一際高い富士山、東に広大な関東平野、北に東北の山々でした。

　ところで、今日は旧暦(太陰太陽暦)では１２月１日です。また、六曜では赤口です。年頭にあたり、今回は結婚、開店、新車購入、葬儀などの日程で今でも使われてる六曜の順について復習してみました。

　まず、旧暦の一月一日は、いつから始まるかと言えば二十四節気の立春に最も近い新月の日から始まります。そして旧暦の1月1日と7月1日は先勝で始まり、2月と8月は友引から、3月と9月は先負から、4月と10月は仏滅から、5月と11月は大安から、6月と12月は赤口から始まります。

　また、それぞれの日の順番は先勝、友引、先負、仏滅、大安、赤口です。つまり、これにより一年中の月日と六曜が決まっており、毎年、一致です。現在の太陽暦の七曜とはこの点が異なります。

　例えば、毎年、旧暦3月3日(ひな祭り)は大安であり、7月7日(七夕)は先勝であり、8月15日(十五夜)は仏滅です。ですから今でもは中秋の名月は毎年仏滅と決まってます。もちろん、仏滅の日に生まれた人は誕生日が毎年、仏滅です。どうしましょう。

好きなこと 思う存分 できる基盤

　健康寿命の定義は「日常生活が制限されず、自らの意志通りに生活できる期間」ですから、健康寿命を伸ばすことが私たちの目標です。日本人の平均寿命と健康寿命との差は男性8.84年、女性12.35年と言われてます。

　後者については、私の家で年末年始を２泊3日楽しく過ごした娘たちの調理で十分な栄養が摂れました。中でもこんな美味しいものはないと感じたのは焼き餃子です。普段からHunger is the best saurceを心掛けてる私は、この諺も功を奏し、いっそう美味しく感じたのでしょう。

　人生一度きりなので「好きなことを思う存分できることほど幸せなことはありません。」私にとって、それはシャクナゲや枝垂れ花桃など各種植物の世話、また、美的感性の研磨として音楽演奏、脳の活性化をめざし英単語の記憶と英作文、そして愛車の運転です。

　折角与えられた肉体の健康を維持してこそ、これらの目標に近づけます。令和４年の基盤の基は日々の肉体鍛錬とします。

The difference between the average life expectancy and healthy life expectancy of Japanese people is said to be 8.84 years for men and 12.35 years for women.

 I think that it is indispensable to "Strengthen our body and give a proper load to our muscles and bones" and "To properly eat some nutrients that are the materials for bones and muscles". It is the resumption of training legs and waist from today.

 Regarding the latter, the cooking of the daughters who happily spent the year-end and New Year holidays for 2 nights and 3 days at my home, provided sufficient nutrition. As I always keep in mind "Hunger is the best sauce", this saying was also effective for me, so it would be more delicious.

 Since we have only one life, "There's no happy life to do what we love." For me, it's taking care of various plants such as rhododendrons and weeping flower peaches, playing musical instruments so as to polish my aesthetic sensibility, and memorizing English words, English composition, and driving my car so as to activate the brain.

 It is only by maintaining the physical health given to us that we can approach these goals. The basis of the 4th year of Reiwa (2022) is the training of the body every day.

寅年の 令和四年が 始まりました
