勉強は 将来のためより 今のため

　現役時代によく通った高崎の「すすき野」という飲み屋さんに貼ってあった言葉「一生勉強、一生青春」は、今でもその通りと感じてます。

　子供の頃、勉強とは大人になれば要らないと思ってましたが、とんでもありません。大人になるほど「将来のためより、今のために」勉強の必要性を実感してます。

　人生とは、その第３コーナーから第４コーナーにかけて、常に生活全般、経済、健康法、人間関係、仕事、趣味などで、いかなる時も、より良い判断が迫られ、自ら答えを出さなくてはなりません。そして、「毎日が楽しく、賢い人生の舞台」にしたいものです。

　現在、私が生き方の教科書として講読してる2冊は「プレジデント」及び英文でも読める「天声人語」です。特にプレジデントは月に２回発行され、自宅に配達されてきます。中身は各界トップによって述べられてる人生後半の生き方、出会いの広がり、見聞、介護、気力、など誰にも共通するものです。

　一方、天声人語は時事問題を通して、時代に遅れないようにしてます。同時に、私は英語の語彙を広げたり、英作文とは英借文であるとの考えで、表現法を真似てます。つまり、学習とは「模倣から創造への過程」と考えてます。

Dear my friends who are crazy about reading and way of expression

　I still feel that the saying is correct "If we study through lifetime, we are young during lifetime" that was affixed to a tavern named "Susukino" in Takasaki-city, which I used to go when I was active.

　When I was a kid, I thought that studying would be unnecessary when I become an adult, but it's ridiculous. As I grow older, I realize the need to study "For the present rather than for the future."

　In our life, from the 3rd to the 4th corner, we have to draw out the answer, regarding the economy, way of health, relationships, work, hobbies, etc. At any time, we have to make better decisions. And we should make the life "every day a fun and a wise stage".

　Currently, the two books I subscribe to as textbooks on how to live are "President" and "Tensei Jingo" which can be read in English. In particular, the "President is issued twice a month and delivered to my home directly. The contents are common to everyone, such as the way of latter half of life, the spread of encounters, extensive knowledge, nursing, and willpower, which are described by the top executives in various fields.

　On the other hand, "Tensei Jingo" which means VOX POPULI, VOX DEI in Latin keeps up with the times through current affairs. At the same time, in order to broaden my English vocabulary, I am imitating the expression method, thinking that English composition is to imitate the English sentences written by native. In other words, learning is the process from imitation to creation.
