小雨の中 藤の再生期して 剪定し

　今日は朝食後、一休みしてから１００キロ近くある大きな植木鉢の「藤」を剪定したり、土を入れ替えたりしました。しかし、根が密集し、たくさんの土を掘り出せません。

　途中で考えを変え、土を替えられないのなら、逆に、枝を少なくして栄養が行き渡るように剪定しました。また、土の表面に軽石を入れ、ついでに、固形の油粕を埋め込みました。

　根の量は変わらず、枝を半分ほど剪定したので、栄養の効率が良くなる筈です。果たしてどうでしょう。

　答えは、今後、蔓がたくさん出るかどうかでする。延いては、来春の開花が良いでしょうか。貴重な赤紫の藤なので大切に育てます。
