人間は 意外と早く 年をとり

　今日は旧灌仏の日です。この日は毎年必ず大安と決まってます。また、今日は母の日です。私の母は花が大好きでした。

　昨日も私は一人庭で、軽石とピートモスを中心とした土壌作りです。それは予想以上にふわふわしてる土壌になりました。大きな鉢にその土壌を入れ、お気に入りの日本シャクナゲ【本シャクナゲ】をその鉢に植え替えました。そこには、来年もよりよく咲かせる目標達成のため、必死な私がいます。

　人間とは誰でも年をとり、それは子供の独立を契機に意外と早くやってきます。私の場合、配偶者との永遠の別れにより、予想外に早く一人暮らしが始まりました。

　狭い私の地区では50人も一人暮らしをしていると、先日、民生委員から聞きました。また、私が地区を歩いてみても空き家の多さに驚きます。もしかして、施設に入所してるのかもしれません。

　ところで、私は若い人に言いたいです。早いうちから、「一人で遊べる癖をつけておいた方がいい」と思います。年齢を重ねると、いっしょに遊べる友達がだんだん減って来るからです。夢中になれる趣味を持つと、一人暮らしは予想を超えて心が充実するものです。
