大理石 年月経過 ものともせず

　２０代の若き日にカルカッタ市【現コルカタ】に住んでましたが、長期休業中にインド各地を旅しました。写真は有名なタージマハールです。ニューデリーに比較的近いアグラという町にあり、内部を見学しました。当時、正面入り口の高い所に大きな蜂の巣がありましたが、今ではもうないでしょう。

　総大理石の墓廟です。ムガル帝国第5代皇帝シャージャハーンが、1631年に死去した愛妃マハルのため建設したと伝えられます。誠に左右対称の美を呈し、巨大で見事な景観です。私もシャージャハーンの心境に近づきたいものです。

Dear my friends, I recommend you to visit Agra

　I lived in Calcutta City [current name is Colcata] when I was young in my twenties, I traveled to various parts of India during a long holiday. The photo is the famous Taj Mahal. It is located in the town of Agra where is relatively close to the capital city of New Delhi, and I visited the inside. At that tme, there was a big beehive high up at the front entrance, but there will be no it now.

　It is a mausoleum of all marble. It is said that it was built by Shajahan, the fifth emperor of the Mugal Empire, for his beloved wife Mahal who died in 1631. It is a huge and splendid landscape with a truly symmetrical beauty. I also want to get closer to the feelings of Shajahan.
