今日は二十四節季の「大暑」です。私たちを乗せて約9億4千万kmの距離を持つ公転軌道を秒速約30kmで、北極星側から見て反時計回りに進んでいる地球は「大暑」の今日、公転軌道上の一体どこに差し掛かっているでしょうか。

　実は、このことは午前0時に真南を見れば分かります。それは黄道十二星座の「やぎ座」の少し右の方向に差し掛かってます。2週間後は早くも「立秋」ですが、この時はちょうど「やぎ座」の方向になります。
