いつ見ても 何故開いてるか 不思議な穴

　写真は、私の家から直線距離で２００mほど東にあるお宅の推定樹齢５００年の欅の巨木です。江戸時代から倉賀野町を見守ってきたのでしょう。今年もすごいです。

　何がすごいか、と言えば何千匹でしょうか。それは一日中、蝉しぐれで私の家まで聞こえます。

　一方、いつ見ても不思議です。何が不思議かと言えば、幹の途中に開いてる穴です。地上から１０ｍほどの高さにある穴の大きさは直径５０ｃｍほどでしょう。

　以前にこのお宅の人にこの穴の由来について尋ねましたが、「昔から開いていた。」と言われるだけです。その方も近年天に召され、益々、倉賀野町の七不思議になってます。皆さんは、この穴は何故開いたと思われますか。
