移植しても よく枝垂れてる 父のレンギョー

　３年前に周囲が広いこの場所に植え替えた「枝垂れレンギョウ」が根付いて、ご覧の通り、今では大きくなり、青々とした葉がたくさんつき、枝垂れた枝は下まで届いています。

　元々は、植木が好きだった亡父が昭和４０年ころ植えたものです。その後、根元から新芽が出ては古い幹が枯れ、世代交代を繰り返しています。

　黄色い花はもちろん春に撮った写真ですが、健康そうなので来春はよく咲くことが推測できます。私ができることは、絡まりつくヤブカラシを取ったり、水遣りする程度ですが、人間の子供の成長と同じように、しっかり見守ることが来春の豊かな花に通じるように感じます。

　The weeping forsythia which was replanted by me in this spacious area three years ago, has taken root, and as you can see, it became big now, with many green leaves. The weeping branches are reaching down to the bottom.

　Originally, it was planted around 1965 by my late father who liked various plants. After that, new shoots sprout from the root and the old trunk died, and it is repeating the generational change.

　The yellow flowers are of course taken before, but generally they look healthy, so I guess that they will bloom well next spring. All I can do is to remove the tangled bushkiller and water them, but I feel that just like the growth of a human child, my watching closely will lead to abundant flowers next spring.
