澄み切った 西南の空に 夢を持つ

　今日10月31日の午後５時に撮った７日目の月です。三脚を使わずに撮ったにしては、クレイターの中の影までよく映ってます。撮影中は気づきませんでしたが、飛行機雲がありました。

　私の想像ですが、この瞬間に月面から地球を見ると、この写真とちょうど左右が逆で、地球の左側が大きく明るく、右側が細く暗いと想います。

　その境目に日本列島が月の直径の半分くらいの長さで、かなり大きく見えてるでしょう。その理由は、月の直径は３４７４Kで、稚内から鹿児島までの直線距離は約１８００Kだからです。

　ところで、今日出発し、仮に月まで時速３００キロの新幹線でノンストップで行くとすると、到着は令和５年１月１日です。

説明は ローマ字表記でなく 英文表記で

 

　地球上で、日本語が分かる人は全人類の約２％で、分からない人は約９８％です。このため日本国内のことについて説明する場合、世界共通語である英文で表記することで理解が高まります。

　ウォーキング中に撮った各種の標識では、藤岡市をFujioka Cityと表記したものが最も適切に思います。しかし、鏑川についてはKabura Gawaでは外国の方には何のことだかわらないでしょう。多くの外国の人はカビュラ、又はカバラと発音するでしょう。日本語の発音に近い表記はKabraです。このため、Kabra Riverが発音上も意味上もよいと思います。

　一方、群馬をGunmaと表記すると、多くの外国の方はガンマと読みやすく、また、このスペルは同じく標識内にあるgunの意味に近く、すなわち「銃」を連想してしまいます。因みにgunman は銃強盗です。ですから、Gummaとスペル表示すべきと思います。

　また、発音上の理由では、日本人がぐんまの「ん」を発音するとき、唇が必ず閉じてるのでmが相応しいです。群馬県内でGummaと表記してあるのは、私の知る限り、前橋市の群馬ロイヤルホテルのみで流石です。

　このように適切でない表現は、日本人が小学生時代に習ったローマ字教育に遠因しています。

植物と 天体の位置で 知る季節

　一般的に菊の花は１１月ですが、写真は今まさに開花した菊の花で、何と新鮮な色彩なのでしょう。私たちは植物によって季節の進みが分かり、早いもので今年も残すところ後６２日です。現在、日に日に気温が下がってます。

　この他、季節の進みが分かるものとして、地球の自転による星座の位置があります。今の時季、早朝にはすでに「冬のダイアモンド」が頭上にあまりにも大きく広がり驚きます。その中に「オリオン座」が特異な形を成し、また、大変に珍しく現在、「火星」がほぼ頭上にあって、誠に強い橙色の光を反射してます。

　ところで、「オリオン座」のウエストに位置する３つ星の最も右の星は「ミンタカ」と命名され、その真下が赤道の位置であることを知っておくと、他の星々が北半球にあるか、南半球にあるかが分かります。

　中でも、「冬のダイアモンド」の一角を成し、夜間の天体の中で最も明るい恒星「シリウス」が「午前０時に真南に来る瞬間」が令和５年１月１日です。

寂しくとも 大腸を刺激する 夕食に

赤い実が 目を惹いてます クロガネモチ

　もうすぐ11月、一年が本当に早く感じます。今の季節は毎日、庭の手入れで忙しく、それは大量に出る枯れた草を集め、それを築山に積み、その上から土を被せる作業です。私には良い筋トレになります。

　実はこれにより、枯れ草が「源平枝垂れ桃」の肥料になったり、年々、築山がほんの少しずつ高くなっていくので一石二鳥です。

　草を集めるとき重労働でも、一種の感謝を感じます。どんな感謝かというと「秋の夜長を鳴き続けた昆虫たちの棲家を作ってくれたこと」。もう一つは、「人間に対し欠くべからざる酸素を生み出してくれたこと」に対してです。

　ところで、写真は大分赤くなり、荒涼とした庭にあって一際目を惹くようになった「クロガネモチ」です。発音が私の住む「倉賀野町」に誠に似てます。ご覧の通り、常緑樹で、この赤い実に栄養を補給するため葉が光合成してるものと考えられます。

　日本の四季は、このように他の植物が長い休憩に入るとき活躍する植物もあり、最終的には、野鳥の餌を生み出し、自然は誠に素晴らしいバランスを保ってます。

　Like this, in Japan's four seasons, there a plant which plays an active role when other plants take a long break during winter, eventually producing food for wild birds, so that nature truly maintains a marvelous balance.

喜びは 重なることが あるものだ

　今日は嬉しいことが二つありました。一つは農協に野菜を買いに行ったら、帰路の途中のガソリンスタンドでは、レギュラーが１リットル１５１円、ハイオクで１６１円と誠に安かったです。他店ではレギュラーでも１７４円、ハイオクは１８４円です。ずいぶん異なります。走っても不都合はありませんでした。

　もう一つ嬉しかったことは、午後、写真の吉井ドリームセンターへ行ったら入浴料金が無料でした。群馬県民の日だからです。

　ところで、友人に誘われたので今宵は高崎の小料理屋「バク」で一杯戴きつつ、夕食を摂ります。毎晩、会話のない一人の夕食、ましてや、女性のいない夕食に飽き飽きしてるので今宵はお許しください。今日は、これで嬉しいことが３つになりそうです。

Dear my friend who likes draft beer and conversation

二羽の鳩 今の目的 本来に！

　その後、次第に大空を飛び始めますが、誤って１羽で遠くへ飛び過ぎても自分の棲家が分かるように、私は屋根の上に鳩の形をした瓦を目印に置いたのです。これが答えです。

　しかし、現在はレース鳩を飼育してないので、その目的は終わりました。現在は、ロシアによるウクライナ侵攻が終了することのみを、この平和のシンボルに託しています。

いつ見ても 独特の山容 西南に構え

　昨日、鏑川付近をウォーキング中に撮影しました。それにしてもユニークな山容を呈するテーブルマウンテン「荒船山」で、恰も山並みを進む航空母艦のようです。

　頂上からの眺めは圧巻で、北西に浅間山が手に取るように見え、眼下に神津牧場、そして西の遥か遠方に北アルプスの峰々が望める正に高天原です。

　この頂上高原には数回行きました。かなり広く、端から端まで歩くと約１時間です。一方、周囲はすべて２００mほどの断崖絶壁で危険この上ありません。もちろん転落防止の柵はなく、先史時代の姿そのままです。

　最も左【南】の山は経塚山【標高１４２３m】で、近年、私はここから数羽のレース鳩を放しましたら、鳩もこんな高い所を飛ぶのは生まれて初めてで、目を丸くして青空の中に吸い込まれるように鳩舎のある距離７０Kほどの倉賀野を目指し、すべて私より早く到着してました。

　Yesterday, I took a picture of Mt. Arafune while walking near Kabra River. As you can see, Mt. Arafune is a table mountain with an unique figure, it looks like an aircraft carrier sailing through the mountains in southwestern Gumma prefecture.

　The view from the top is spectacular beyond description, such as the active volcano Mt. Asama to the northwest, the Kozu Ranch below, and the Northern Alps in the distance to the west from this Takamagahara which means dwelling place of the god in Japanese mythology.

　"I've been to this summit plateau several times." It is quite vast and it takes about an hour to walk from one end to the other. On the other hand, all the surroundings are perpendicular cliffs of about 200m deep, and here is no fences there so that it is extremely dangerous. Therefore all the appearance of prehistoric times is intact.

　The mountain on the far left [south] is Mt. Kyozuka [elevation 1423m]. In recent years, I released a few racing pigeons from this summit, they widened their eyes because it was the first time in their life that they had flown so high. They headed for my loft in Kuragano-town where is about 70km away from the summit, as if being sucked into the blue sky, and of course they all arrived earlier than me.

　今朝、公園のラジオ体操会場に行ったら仲間のＫさんから「時計屋の隣さんの文章が昨日の上毛新聞に載ってましたね。」と声を掛けられ、私は驚くとともに、帰路に彼の家に立ち寄り、その投稿文をコピーしていただきました。

　時計屋の隣さんは、このブログに度々コメントをくださると共に、実は、高崎の小料理屋「バク」に於ける私の飲み友達でもあります。今回、上毛新聞に掲載され誠におめでとうございます。以下が彼の投稿文です。

　・・・・・タイトル「皆おしゃべりがしたい」・・・・・

　高齢者の健康法の一つに、家の中にこもらず手軽に社会参加できる方法がある。人にあったらあいさつをして、できたらおしゃべりや立ち話をすることだ。

　一人暮らしの友人は、ATMを使わず今でも銀行の窓口で用を済ませる。行員と少しでも会話をしたいからだという。スーパーでの買い出しも、お客があまりいない午後2時ごろに行く。レジで店員とのつかの間の会話を楽しみたいからだと言っていた。

　ここ数年、コロナ禍に見舞われ会話をする機会も場所も減った。最近になりようやく、行きつけのカラオケ喫茶が以前のように常連で賑わうようになってきた。歌もおしゃべりも楽しみたい人が多いようだ。

　「今日はたくさん歌えるだろう」と雨の日に行ってみると、既におなじみがいた。その日は話に花が咲いて、誰一人歌わなかった。みなさん自由闊達で、とっておきの面白い話を聞かせてもらった。誰かが気を利かせて「今日のお店の名前は『喫茶おしゃべりタイム』」と言った。

　歌は一人で歌えるけれど、おしゃべりは一人ではできない。人はみな寂しがり屋だ。誰かとおしゃべりしていると孤独が消え、ほっとする。

渡り鳥の 飛来を期して ウォーキング

　この川は一級河川で高崎市と藤岡市の間を流れ、やがて烏川に合流し、その後、玉村町付近で利根川に流れ込む鏑川です。

　源流は、群馬県下仁田町と長野県佐久市との県境にある物見山付近と言われ、総延長は６０Kほどです。世界遺産「富岡製糸場」の脇を流れてきます。

　ご覧の通り、写真の左側にちょっと土手が見えます。土手の上は私のお気に入りウォーキングコースです。この付近は流れが緩やかなことから、ロシアからと想われるコハクチョウの飛来地で、例年１２月中旬の飛来ですから、今頃は今春に生まれた雛たちが、オホーツク海や日本海を渡り切れるように親鳥に教わりながら飛翔の練習中でしょう。この渡りは先史時代以来、続いてるものと推測します。

　ところで、群馬県では今後１週間は天気が良さそうで、この景色を眺めつつウォーキングに努めます。心掛ける点は１、鼻呼吸、２、踵より着地、３、広めのストライド、４、心拍数１０８～１１０程度です。では、色づき始めた自然の中で頑張り過ぎず歩きます。

　This Japanese river is a first-class river that flows between Takasaki-City and Fujioka-City, eventually joins the Karasu River, and then flows into the famous Tone River near Tamamura-Town in Gumma prefecture.

Because the current of the river around here are so gentle that here is a migratory site for Tundra swans which are thought to come from Russia. Now, the broods which were born last spring must be practicing flight while being taught by their parents. It is speculated that this migration has continued since prehistoric times.

　Not change the subject, but it looks like the weather will be fine in Gumma Prefecture for the next week, so I'll try to walk while enjoying this marvelous view. The points to keep in mind are 1, nasal breathing, 2, landing from the heel, 3, wide stride, 4, heart rate of 108 to 110. Then, I will walk without trying too hard in the nature that has started to change colors.

今宵「バク」 いろいろあっても 天上の楽しみ

　今宵は寒かったですが、高崎まで足を運び、馴染みの小料理屋「バク」で一杯飲みました。ママの手料理は美味しくて、しかも、何の話にも乗ってくださり、2時間は「あっと」いう間に楽しく経ちました。客は私を含め二人でした。

　ただ、同席した客が社会に対し、何でも不満を持ってる人らしく、不満を言うために飲みに来ているようでした。終始、何にも税金が使われてることを不満に思っている人でした。

　聞いていて嫌になりましたが、私は内心、税があるからこそ、この社会は住みよく成り立っていると思います。飲んで反対意見を言うと収拾がつかなくなるので、適当に対応しました。

　ところで、高崎市街地はかなりの人で混雑し、活気に満ちてます。特に、高崎駅前はコロナ以前の風景に戻りつつあるほど、人々で溢れてました。先程、無事に帰宅しました。

　It was cold tonight, but I went to Takasaki by train and had a drink at the familiar small tavern named "Baku". Mama's home cooking was delicious and she can talk about anything. There were two customers including me.

人間を 勇気づけてる ダリア一輪

　まるで大きな花火が大空に「パッと」広がったようです。これは庭に咲いてるダリアです。昨日、小雨の中で撮りました。寒い自然環境下でも、若々しく力強く、しかも、きれいな色彩で周囲を微笑ませます。

　ところで、昨日は午後、取引してる証券会社のテラーが訪れ、世界経済の現状と今後の見通しについて、1時間ほど説明してくれました。同時に、私が考えてることも申し上げ、それは経済の勉強とは、実は、人生１００年時代の中にあって「給料の来ない退職後のためにあり」、真剣に取り組んでることを話しました。

　一方、彼女は仕事上、私の年齢を知ってますが、カッキーは「全く年齢には見えなく、すごく若い」と言って下さり、この言葉に私は嬉しくなり、これからも希望を持って生活できる気がしました。果たして、世の中の情勢が窮迫しても、写真のダリアのように、心身ともに健康で前向きに生きられるでしょうか。植物から学ぶことは多いです。

　It's like a big fireworks spreading "quickly" in the sky. This is a dahlia blooming in my garden now. I took this photo yesterday in the rain. Even in a cold natural environment, it is youthful and powerful, and makes people around her smile with its beautiful colors.

　By the way, yesterday afternoon, a teller from a securities company which I trade visited me and explained the current state of the global economy and the outlook for the future for about an hour. At the same time, I also explained what I was thinking about, and said that in an era of 100-year lifespans, studying economics is actually for post-retirement without salary. Therefore I said to her, I am seriously investigating it everyday.

来世は 小さいうちに 弾き始めたい

　最近は、近くに住む小学2年の女児がピアノの練習に来ます。私が教える訳ではありません。先日はプルグミューラーを２曲弾いてましたが、なかなか上手です。

時々は メニューを変える 朝食に

レース鳩 思い出多し 黒井峯遺跡

　高崎辺りでは、榛名山は多くの小中高校の校歌の歌詞にあって、その優雅な山容に、いつ見ても変わらぬ気高い雄姿に人間の精神の在るべき姿を重ねています。

　一方、この山が有史以前に大噴火を繰り返し、結果的に、美しい榛名湖や榛名富士を形成し、また、７世紀ごろに再度、大噴火して、子持中学の西に広がる「黒井峯」の集落を埋没させたのですから、自然は脅威と共に、伊香保温泉など生じさせた恩恵の両面を持ってます。

　以前にレース鳩を飼育してたとき、度々、この黒井峯遺跡から初歩訓練として鳩舎のある倉賀野まで２５Kほどを帰還させました。現在は鳩を飼育してません。鳩の餌の世話より、一人暮らしゆえ、自らの三度の食事の準備で、てんてこ舞いの日々です。こんな生活はそろそろお仕舞にしたい。

　Around Takasaki-city, Mt. Haruna is included in the lyrics of many school songs such as elementary, junior high and senior high schools. And its graceful appearance and unchanging majesty are overlapped the figure of human spirit.

　On the other hand, this mountain repeatedly had erupted in prehistoric times, resulting the formation of the beautiful Lake Haruna and Mt. Haruna Fuji and the famous Ikaho spar. Furthermore the village named Kuroimine was buried by eruption again in 7th century, so many people are buried still now. Therefore nature has two factors both threats and blessings for humans.

　When I was raising racing pigeons in the past, I often trained to return pigeons from the Kuroimine ruins about 25km to Kuragano-town where my pigeon loft is located, for the fundamental training. I don't currently keep pigeons. Since I live alone, I have to prepare three meals for myself rather than taking care of the pigeons. I am extremely busy everyday. I want to put an end to this kind of life in the near future.

ウォーキング 榛名の峰々 昔を想う

　この写真は、昨日のウォーキング中、群馬県・高崎～藤岡間に架かる新鏑川橋の上から見た景色です。坂の傾斜により、この橋が如何に高い位置にあるかが分かるでしょう。写真を拡大してご覧ください。

　遠望に青く見える峰々の総称は「榛名山」です。峰々には名称が付いており、それらは一見最も高く見え、尖ってる相馬岳、最も右(東)が水沢山、中央付近で山頂がやや斜めの榛名富士、その左が最高峰の掃部ヶ岳(標高１４４９m)、最も西が天狗山です。

　これらの峰の殆どに登りましたが、ウォーキングしつつ、一緒に登った山のベテランたち(百名山すべて登った人もいる)の顔を思い出しました。しかし、彼らはすでに天に召されてます。

　ところで、群馬県の平野から富士山は見えませんが、榛名山の峰々からは富士山がよく見えます。昨日は久々に歩いたので、焼き鳥を戴きながらの夕食の一杯は格別でした。

　"Mt. Haruna" is the general name for the blue peaks that can be seen from a distance. The peaks have their own names, such as Mt. Soma which looks the highest at first glance, Mt. Mizusawa on the far right (east), Haruna Fuji whose peak is slightly slanted, and Mt. Kamon-gadake that is the highest peak (altitude 1449m) on the left. and the westernmost is Mt.Tengu.

　I climbed most of these peaks. While walking, I remembered the faces of the veterans who climbed this mountain with me (one of them have climbed all 100 famous mountains in Japan). But they are already in heaven.

　By the way, we can't see the famous Mt. Fuji from the plain of Gumma Prefecture, but we can see it well from the peaks of Mt. Haruna. Yesterday, I walked after a long interval, so the taste at the dinner was exceptional with eating yakitori that means chicken kebab and liquor, of course thinking of you.

天気回復 ストライド伸ばし ウォーキング

　群馬県の午前中は小雨模様でしたが、午後から陽射しが戻って来ました。コスモスたちは嬉しそうにパッと花弁を広げてます。

　午後は運動不足解消に、先ずキャフレイズを２００回して、テッポウ２０回してから、ウォーキングを予定してます。

　年齢を重ねると、どうしても歩幅が狭くなりがちなので、ポイントはストライドを伸ばすことをめざします。

　どこへ行くかと言いますと、私の好きな木部町の新鏑川橋です。この橋は高さが高く、しかも、長さは４００mほどあり、幅広い歩道が両側にあります。周囲は見渡す限り緑で、景色は最高、新鮮な空気を胸いっぱい吸います。では行って参ります。

美味しさが 忘れられない 讃岐うどん

　長い人生において、いつかは年齢数が体重の㎏数を上回ります。その年齢は一般的に５０代から６０代でしょう。しかし、私の場合は未だに体重の数値の方が年齢数を上回ってます。これを逆転させるため、いろいろ工夫してます。

　三度の食事メニューを変化させ、概して、朝食ではご飯に納豆とモズクを混ぜたもの、そして野菜三種類の味噌汁です。昼食ではパンか、あるいは、うどんです。夕食では体重を考慮し、いわゆる主食は食べず、魚類とゴボウ、カボチャなど食物繊維の多いおかずのみです。概して油物は摂取しません。

　ところで、私は生粋の日本人なのでしょうか。うどんが本当に美味しく感じます。特に「讃岐うどん」が美味しいです。体重が多いのはコロナ太りでしょう。

　運動はウォーキングと「テッポウ」と「ダンベル」による筋トレです。年齢が増すほど、骨密度と筋肉量は生命の基盤と考え、日々鍛錬してます。

　During our long life, our age will be more than our weight in kilograms. Generally the age is in the 50's to 60's. However, in my case, the weight number still exceeds the age number. Now, I'm trying to do my best in order to reverse this situation.

　The meal menu has changed three times. For breakfast, it is generally rice mixed with natto that means fermented sticky soybeans and mozuku seaweed, together with miso soup including three kinds of vegetables. For Lunch, it is bread or udon that means wheat noodle like the photo. For dinner, considering my weight, I don't eat so-called staple food, only fish and side dishes with a lot of dietary fiber such as burdock and pumpkin. I generally don't eat oily foods.

　"By the way, am I a native Japanese?" Udon tastes really good. Especially "Sanuki udon" that is made in Northern Shikoku island is delicious beyond description. A lot of weight may be by corona overweight.

　Exercise is walking and muscle training with "teppo" that means pushing up like a somo wrestler's training and "dumbbells". As getting older, I believe that bone density and muscle mass are the basis of our life, therefore I practice this training every day.

オークランド は 今、春たけなわか

　友人セラー・スペンスさんや、バリー・スペンスさんたちのニュージーランド・オークランドでは、これから春本番を迎えることでしょう。しかし、北半球の群馬高崎に住む私たちはこれから秋が深まります。季節は違っていても、共通することはどちらも緯度が約３６°です。いつか再会したいです。

　私の庭では、ご覧の通り、写真左のクロガネモチが幾分か黄色くなり始め、クリスマスからお正月に真っ赤になります。一方、右のマユミは今が最も情熱的に色濃い状態です。こちらは落葉樹なので直に丸坊主になってしまいます。

　その点、左のクロガネモチは常緑樹なので、もし雪が降っても緑の葉と赤い実が荒涼とした庭にひと際目立ちます。

　現在、庭は草ぼうぼうですが、昨日は手作業で除草を頑張りました。多くの昆虫が驚いて飛び出します。私は今まで除草剤を使ったことはありません。除草剤は昆虫のみならず、人間の健康に「害は有っても益はない」と考えます。樹木と同様に草も光合成を行い、私たち人間に欠くべからざる酸素を生み出してます。

　今朝、ゴミ収集車が来るので、昨日、刈り込んだ草を袋詰めにしたところ、大きな袋に３袋ありました。重量があり、この作業は本当に体力を必要としました。未だ、庭には草があちこちにたくさん生えてるので少しずつ頑張ります。

　The real spring will be soon in Auckland, New Zealand, where my friends Ms. Sarah Spence and Mr. Barry Spence live. However, for those of us who live in Takasaki, Gumma in the northern hemisphere, the scene of autumn is deepening. Although the seasons are different between our two nations, the common thing is that both are about 36 degrees latitude. I hope to see you again someday.

　By the way, in my garden, as you can see in the photo, the kuroganemochi that means Round Leaf Holly on the left of the photo starts to turn yellow and will turn bright red at Christmas and New Year. On the other hand, Mayumi on the right is in the most passionate state right now. Since this is a deciduous tree, it will become a bald head soon.

　On the other hand, the kuroganemochi on the left is an evergreen tree, so even if it snows, the green leaves and red berries will stand out in my desolate garden.

　"Currently, the garden is rampant with weeds, but yesterday I did my best to weed it by hand." Many insects jump out in surprise. I have never used herbicide before. I believe that herbicides do not only harm insects but also human's health. It is harmful but no benefit for humans. Like trees, grasses also carry out photosynthesis and produce oxygen that is indispensable for us humans.

　Not change the subject,but the garbage truck comes and collects this morning, so the grasses I weeded yesterday were packed by me in three big bags. It was heavy and the work which was required real physical strength. There are still a lot of grasses growing here and there in the garden, so I will do my best little by little from now on.

　紹介されたことは、すでに１５年間ブログを続けてる私には誠に嬉しく、今後の励みになります。花づくり【花木】は退職後に夢中になりました。英語と音楽は現職のときからの続きです。

　最初の就職が海外であった刺激が半世紀経過しても影響を与え続けてます。これからもブログを通じて「真の健康法」について考えたり、「太陽系や自然界の不思議」、特に「人間の喜びは何か」という永遠のテーマを少しでも追い求め、それを日本文と英文で表現できれば嬉しいです。

　Since last night to this morning, I was surprised when I opened the blog management screen [Page to write a blog]. Cocolog company has introduced my blog all over the country including world.

守れるか！ 美味しいお酒 量が肝心

　一般的に、日本酒のアルコール度数は１６％ほどです。その中で、写真の一升瓶「しぼってそのまま」は珍しく１９度で、私には、他の日本酒より美味しく感じます。

　しかし、私が平素、夕食に家で嗜むのは1合で充分です。このお酒は口当たりがよいうえ価格が900円台と安く、先日、3本まとめ買いしました。この他、家には私が作った「枇杷酒」がかなりあり、こちらは２５度と度数が高く、暫くは、お酒を購入する必要がありません。

　昔から両親が美味しそうに日本酒を飲んでいたことから遺伝したのでしょう。私もお酒は好きです。一方、日常生活で集中することがあると、逆に、その脳をリラックスさせるバランスから「酒は百薬の長」となります。大切なことは、飲み過ぎてはなりません。

　音楽の世界でも、「音量」あるいは「速度」で緊張する場面と、逆に安堵する場面との対比は大切なポイントです。同様に、昼間の生活が充実すれば、その代償として、夕食での適度なアルコールは心身にプラスになると感じてます。

十五夜を 眺めて何を 願いましょう

　今宵は満月です。しかし、天候はどうでしょう。

　月は常に同じ面のみ地球に見せるだけで、裏側を見せません。理由は、月は公転周期と自転周期が等しいということです。しかし、時には裏側を見たいものですね。

　この理由について、あくまで私の考えですが、月の内部では岩石の質量が同等でなく、場所によって異なるのでしょう。月は地球に引きつけられてることから「質量の密度が高い部分が、つまり、重たい部分が地球に近い方にある」のではないかと推測します。しかし、本当の理由はどうでしょう。

　写真はNasaによる月の裏面写真です。意外と荒涼としてますね。十五夜で月を眺めるならば、やはり表の方が良さそうです。ウサギが餅をついてる姿が日本ではずっと親しみやすいので自然は本当に良く出来てます。しかし、南半球で満月を見ると、その紋様は、日本で見るのとは上下が逆になります。

　私は月を見て願うことは二つです。一つは健康長寿、もう一つは出会いです。

　ところで、仮に、地球から月まで新幹線で行くと、距離が約３８万kmあるので、時速300kmの新幹線で約1266時間、つまり休みなく走って約２ヶ月かかり、一方、同じ速度で太陽に向かうと約57年かかります。

　We can see a full moon tonight throughout the world. But what about the weather in Japan and in your nation?

　The moon always shows only the same side to our earth, not the other side. The reason is that the moon's revolution period is equal to its rotation period. But sometimes we earthlings want to look behind the scene.

　The reason of this is just in my opinion, the mass of rocks inside the moon is not the same, and it may differ depending on the location of inside. So I speculate that since the moon is gravitated toward the earth that "the part of high mass density, in other wards, the heavy part is closer to the earth". But I would like to know the real reason.

　The photo shows a photograph of the backside of the moon by NASA. Surprisingly it is desolate, isn't it? If we look at the full moon, it seems that the front side is better. The image of a rabbit pounding steamed rice into cake is familiar for Japanese people. So nature works well. However, when you see the full moon in the southern hemisphere, the pattern is upside down from what you see in Japan.

　I have two wishes when I look at the moon. One is health and longevity, and the other is encounter.

　Not change the subject, but if you go from the earth to the moon by bullet train, the distance is about 380,000 km, so it takes about 1266 hours, or about 2 months without a rest, if you go to the sun at the same speed, it needs about 57 years.

今日は 世界郵便デー 今スマホ

　今日10月9日は世界郵便デーです。昨今はスマホ、パソコンによるメールやラインが遠く離れた人との連絡の主流ですが、昔は手書きによる手紙でのやり取りで、字体により送り主の心情までも感じ取れたものです。

　現代では毎日、郵便受けを見ても、届く郵便物は請求書などばかりで、個人からの手書きのものは先ずありません。宛名や氏名は殆ど印刷されたものばかりで、用件が済めば私も捨ててしまいます。その点、若き日に、手書きのラブレターが来たときなどドキドキしたものす。

　写真は２０代初めにインド滞在中、父母兄弟、恩師・友人から届いた航空便です。今でも大切に保管し、何かの折に読んでます。送り主の多くはすでに天に召されてます。

　Today, October 9th is World Postal Day. These days, communication with people who are far away are the mainstream by means of email and line using smartphone or computer, but in the past, handwritten letters were used to communicate each other, and moreover handwriting indicated the feeling of the sender.

　In modern times, even if I look at my mailbox every day, most of the mails I received is bills and there is almost no handwritten letter. Most of the addresses and names are printed out, and I throw them away when the business is done. In that respect, in old days, I used to get excited when I received a handwritten love letter.

　The photo is a lot of airmail that arrived from my parents, brothers, teachers and friends in my early twenties during stay in India. I still keep it precious and read it from time to time. Regrettably many of the senders have already gone to heaven.

珍しく 家族そろって 十三夜

　午前中に珍しく車にワックスを掛けたら、乗りたくなり、結局、吉井ドリームセンターへ行き、お風呂に入ってきました。行きは高崎経由で、帰りは山名の新鏑橋経由で帰宅しました。

今日は「寒露」で、しかも、十三夜

　今日は二十四節季の一つ「寒露」です。私たちの地球は一周約９億４千万㎞ある公転軌道上を反時計回りに３６５．２４日かけて周遊してます。

　「寒露の」今日、地球は公転軌道上の一体どこに差し掛かっているでしょう。

　と言えば、地球は黄道十二星座の一つ「魚座」の中心部の方向に来てます。これは反時計回りに公転してる地球の外側、つまり、右側に「魚座」が見える位置に来てます。

　日本では今宵、午前０時に頭上より少し南に「魚座」が大きく見える事実により、現在の地球の公転軌道上の位置が分かります。

楽しかった 銀座珈琲店の 思い出

　東京など用事がなければ行きませんが、すでに4年ほど経過するでしょうか。初めて数寄屋橋近くの銀座珈琲店に行きました。写真の如く、素敵な階段を登り、二階が広くて落ち着いた喫茶室です。

　受付に行くと「相手の方がお待ちです。」とのこと。このため少々緊張しましたが、お会いして、いろいろ話をしてるうちに打ち解け、結構リラックスして、確か紅茶を戴きながら、私は趣味の話や群馬の自然について、あるいは好きな車を話題にしたかもしれません。

　学生時代にはしばしば喫茶店に行きましたが、その後は高崎でも殆ど喫茶店に行くことはなく、暫くぶりに素敵な雰囲気の中で過ごせたことは今でもすごく印象に残ってます。

　２時間ほど喫茶室で楽しく過ごしてから銀座珈琲店を後にし、ビルが建ち並ぶ都会の風景を臨みつつ、自然豊かな皇居周辺のお堀近くを２kほど散策したら、確か丸の内ビルまで来て、ちょうどよい時間となり、今度は一杯飲みたくなり二次会となりました。お相手の方もアルコールはかなり行けたことから、楽しかった東京の夜を十分に満喫し、帰路につきました。

　また、いつか思い出の銀座珈琲店に行ってみたい。

芙蓉の花 寒さに負けず 今日も咲く

　涼しさを通り過ぎ寒さまで覚えた昨日も庭に咲いてる芙蓉です。ご覧の通り、それほど鮮やかではなく、ちょっと汚れかかった黄色です。しかし、５枚の花弁を持つ大きな黄色は遠方から誠によく目立ちます。

　未だ、蕾を持ってるので、時々水を与えしっかり育てます。今後、大きな植木鉢に移植し、冬季は暖かな室内で育てます。庭の花は私の家族です。

高齢期 意欲を持って 生きましょう

　近年、サンマの不漁は続いていたが、今年の、サンマはことのほか悲しい。スリムになったのは、餌となるプランクトンをいっぱい食べられなかったせいだろうか？なにしろ魚体が小さい。

 「缶詰などの加工に回すサイズのものを提供せざるを得ないほど深刻です」と嘆く関係業者さんの声をテレビが伝えていた。おしなべて、初物の感動からは程遠いものだった今年のサンマ。

　大衆魚として長く日本人の胃袋を満たし、丸々と太り、脂が乗り朦朦と煙を上げた秋刀魚が恋しい。

人生では 夢中になるもの 生き甲斐に

　私にとって家族は常時１００羽ほどいたレース鳩たちで、北海道・稚内から帰還させる夢を追い求めてましたが、４年前に飼育を止め、その代わり、現在、私を虜にしてるものは同様に１００本ほどの植木たちです。

気候よい 秋の一日 有効に
