進歩したのも人間、進歩しないのも人間

　ご覧の二つの石は古代人がクルミなど硬い木の実を砕くために使っていた石器と想われます。下の大きい石は楕円形を成し、まな板のようです。上の小さい石はほぼ球体で、手に持って上から叩いたと想われます。

　数年前に地続きの東の土地を少々購入しましたが、その土地を掘り返していて私が発見したものです。そこは昔、田んぼでしたが、以前の土地所有者が埋め立てしたことがあり、その中に混ざっていたのではないかと思います。

　１万年ほど続いた縄文時代か、あるいは、もっと昔の石器時代に日本人の遠い祖先が使っていたものと推測され、現在、玄関前に飾ってあります。

　いずれにしても、人間がこの世に生まれてからの９９％の期間は石器時代であったと考えるとき、人間は誠に少しずつ発達し、現在に至っていると考えます。

　しかし、大昔も今も変わらぬことがあります。それは他民族を差別したり、脅したり、土地を奪い合う戦争してることです。現代の人間は英知でこれを避けなければなりません。

　The two stones as you see are thought to be stone tools that ancient people in Japan used to crush hard nuts such as walnuts. The large stone below forms an oval shape and looks like a cutting board. The small stone above is almost spherical, and it is thought that it was lifted in a hand and struck from above.　

　A few years ago, I purchased a small area of land in the eastern side, and I discovered them while digging up the land. It was a rice field, but the previous landowner had reclaimed from the rice field , so I think that these stone tools were mixed in.

　It is presumed to have been used by remote Japanese ancestors during the Jomon period which lasted for about 10,000 years BC, or even in the Stone Age. These stone tools are currently displayed by me in front of the entrance.

　In any case, if we consider that 99% of the time since humans were born into this world, was in the Stone Age, I believe that humans have truly developed little by little and have reached the modern times.

　"However, there is one thing that hasn't developed since ancient times." It is to discriminate and intimidate against other races and fight for land. We modern humans must avoid this barbarous act and brutality by wisdom.
