  今日は珍しく１３日の金曜日です。今年は１０月も１３日が金曜日です。ところが、欧米では、有名な「最後の晩餐」の絵の中に１３人がいるように、また、建造物では１３階を設置しないように、１３という数字が忌み嫌われてるようです。しかし、日本では特に１３という数字が嫌われることはないです。

　一方、世界共通のこととして、１２がよく使われてます。１年は１２ヶ月、時計も１２時、また、ビールなど１ダースも１２本です。

　日本では、干支は十二支とも言われ、１２年で一回りします。干支は時間や、方角でも使われてました。日常会話でも、一回り違うとは、年齢が１２才違うことになり、この表現は現在でもよく耳にします。

　一方、明治５年まで使われてた「太陰太陽暦」では、暦と季節の「ずれ」をなくすため、平均すると１９年に7回、閏月を設け、その年は１３ヶ月ありました。

　別件ですが、近年はどこを歩いても空き家が多く目立ちます。私の家の近くにも数軒あります。写真は、空き家の庭に実ってる美味しそうな金柑で鈴なりです。どうするのでしょう。これからは餌がない季節なので野鳥が啄むでしょう。自然は暦と同じく、よく出来てます。
