ショック！ クロガネモチが 食べ尽くされる

　真冬の荒涼とした庭に赤い実を付けてる姿は、私をホッさせてましたが、誠にショックです!!　一年かけ、丹精して育てたのに今朝、クロガネモチの赤い実が野鳥に殆ど食べられてました。今朝、クロガネモチに水を遣るため、そばに行って気づいたのです。

　昨日は実があったので、今朝、早朝におそらく数羽が来て、ご覧の通り、２～３個残して殆ど食べつくしました。野鳥は実が赤くなっても、すぐに食べませんでしたが、その後、１ヶ月ほど経過し、実が熟し、今が食べ頃と本能的に察知したのでしょう。下には一粒も落ちてません。

　そうだ、１月１５日以降に食べられるので、この日を覚えておき、来年は事前に防鳥ネットを掛けましょう。でも、野鳥が少しは食べられるように一枝を残します。

　よく考えると、野鳥が実を啄むのは今に始まったことではなく、遠い石器時代からでしょう。野鳥はもちろん、本来、人間も食料確保は誠に大変なことです。私は寛大な心を持って生きます。
