小寒の朝 夢捨てるなとばかり 梅一輪咲く

　小寒の朝、庭先で早くも紅梅が一輪咲き始めました。寒の入りとなった昨日、春を先取りしたように品種名「鹿児島」が、夢を捨てるなとばかり、私に希望を与えています。

　私の楽しみは、ソプラノサクソフォーン演奏、少々のピアノ演奏、県内外へのドライブ、英作文などあっても、日々、庭で多くの植物を育てることに、心は充実していると思います。家庭環境は寂しくとも、庭の植物たちは開花という笑顔で、これから順次、力いっぱい応えてくれるでしょう。

　現実の世界は、ウクライナ軍事侵攻、蔓延してるコロナ感染、生活必需品の高騰など、いつになっても埒が明かない荒涼とした人間社会にあっても、植物たちは希望、温かさ、何より美的な姿を呈し、人間に喜びを与えてくれます。今後、大きな枝垂れ紅梅、紅白に咲き分ける「思いのまま」など５本の花梅が順次開花します。お近くの方は見にいらしてください。庭のテーブルで、お茶付きです。
