倉賀野でも 年々増える 空き家の数

　写真は倉賀野一大きな欅の木の地上２０mほどの所にある鳥の巣ですが、住民の姿は見えません。まさに、空き巣に入られそうです。

　それどころか、昨日、午後4時頃から地元・倉賀野町内の上４地区、田子屋地区、そして仲町地区の一部を２Ｋ程ウォーキングしたところ、あちこちに急に空き家が目立ってきました。私の歩いた範囲でも、およそ２０棟ありました。原因は、二所帯住宅が減り、住民が高齢者施設に入居したり、入院したり、あるいは残念にも世を去った場合もあるのでしょう。

　空き家は一見して、すぐに分かります。それは庭にゴミあったり、歩くところに雑草が生え、塀が締まっており、また、多くはカーテンが引いたままになってます。それにもまして何となく家屋に活気がなく、人間が住んで居ないと家まで衰退して来るのでしょう。

　ところで、今、日本では空き家が増え続けており、この30年間で2倍以上に増加してると言われてます。空き家が長い期間、放置されると、崩壊、火災発生など様々な悪影響が生じます。

　放置された空き家は、次第に「外壁や屋根の落下」など保安上危険な状態となり、ゴミの不法投棄、ねずみや野良猫の棲家になり衛生面や景観の悪化をもたらし、地域住民の生活環境に深刻な影響を及ぼします。その他「不審者の出入り」など地域の防犯性が低下することも考えられます。

　少子高齢化に伴い、この倉賀野町でも、予想を超えて空き家が目立ち始めていることから、今後、更に増え、環境面から日に日に大きな社会問題になりつつあると感じました。
