生命の根源は光合成の恩恵・・5月9日は呼吸の日

　５月上旬の庭は新緑に覆われ、前の道から家屋があまり見えなくなりました。私は森の中に住んでるようです。樹木の好きなキジバトやヒヨドリなど野鳥たちも一日中、庭で安心して水を飲み、落ちてる餌を啄みに来ています。

　平素、忘れがちですが、このように緑と共に暮らし、心から幸せに感じることは、「光エネルギーと水により樹木の葉が光合成し、生み出された酸素により私たちは呼吸ができてる」ことです。因みに、今日５月９日は「呼吸の日」です。

　ご存じの通り、「地球上のほとんどすべての酸素は光合成に由来し、地球上のほとんどすべての有機物もまた光合成に由来している。」ことから、私たちが生きる上で植物がどんなに大切であるか新緑の現在、認識を新たにしてます。ですから、有機物である食品のすべても光合成により生産されたものです。

　天候は晴れたり、雨が降ったりし、その度に私たちは目前の予定などで一喜一憂しがちですが、晴れたり雨が降ったりして光合成は一層盛んとなり、それにより、私たちの生命は大きく恩恵を受けてます。
