古の笛太鼓の音を耳にする

　倉賀野上町の山車が「子供の日」の今日、上町町内を巡行しました。笛太鼓の音は、現世に流れる西洋リズムとは全く異なり、遠い昔の祖先からの囃子を民族的に脈々と伝えています。

　囃子の途中に「どっこいしょ」と引手たちの掛け声が入り、太鼓や笛を奏でる人たちとの一体感に溢れています。

　私が子供の頃は、道祖神の前夜祭である１月１４日の晩に倉賀野の町中の山車が仲町交差点に一堂に会し、通称「しゃぎりっこ」、つまり、他の地区に負けまいと頑張る叩き合いに興奮し見事でした。

　近年は倉賀野町の祭りの日でなく、「子供の日として」山車が町内を練り出ても、一般の子供の姿はあまり見えず、見物人も少なく、昭和時代の盛り上がりとは趣を異にしているのは時代の変遷でしょうか。何か工夫を施し、倉賀野町住民の盛り上がった一体感を出したいものです。

　The floats of Kuragano Kami-district paraded around Kami-cho on "Children's Day" today. The sound of Japanese traditional flute and drums is completely different from the Western rhythms that flow in the modern world, and is an ethnically handed down musical performance since our ancestors long ago.

　In the middle of the musical performance, the pullers shout "Dokkoisho!" It is filled with a sense of unity with the people playing the drums and flutes.

　When I was a child, on the evening of January 14th, the eve of Dosojin, all the floats in Kuragano-town gathered at the Naka-cho's intersection, and the floats were called "Shagiricko", that is in other words, they tried hard to beat against the other districts. The match was excited and marvelous.

　In recent years, the floats are paraded around the town on "Children's Day" instead of on Kuragano's festival day, so that the ordinary children are rarely seen and there are few spectators. This event is entirely different from the excitement of the Showa era. This will be happening by the changing times. We would like to devise something to create a sense of unity among Kuragano residents.
