国によって異なる雨の季節

　比較的、花が少ない今の時季ですが、一年中、庭に花が絶えないようにしてます。花と言っても、私が育てている植物は草花でなく、多年草や球根、また、樹木に花が咲く植物です。このため基本的に毎年その時季が来ると開花します。もしかして、私の人生に花が咲かないので、せめて庭に花を求めているのかもしれません。写真は昨日撮ったものです。

　ついに、群馬県も梅雨に入りました。今朝も雨が音を立てながら降ってます。梅雨になると、人間の気持ちとは逆に、植物は生き生きしてきます。これは誠に有難いことで梅雨のお陰で人間は食料に有り付くことができてます。

　ところで、若き日に滞在してたカルカッタ市では４月と５月が真夏で学校は５月が夏休みです。８月は夏休みではありません。６月から８月頃までは雨季ですが、降り方は夕立のようです。

　その代わり、９月から翌年の２月までの半年間は日本の秋晴れのような日々が続き、それほど暑くありません。ですから、この期間に旅行します。私が聴きに行ったカルカッタ・シンフォニーの定期演奏会はこの時季に毎月行われてました。

Dear my friends abroad who like flowers and great music

　Now is the season when there are relatively few flowers, but I try to keep the flowers in my garden all year round. When I say about flowers, the plants I grow are not flower plants, but perennials, bulbs, and plants that bloom on trees. For this reason, it basically blooms at this season of every year. Perhaps, in my life, since flowers do not bloom, therefore I am looking for flowers in the garden. The photo was taken yesterday.

　Finally, Gumma Prefecture in central Japan has entered the rainy season." It's raining this morning as well. In the rainy season, contrary to human feelings, plants become lively. We are very grateful for this natural phenomenon, and thanks to the rainy season, humans are able to find food.

　By the way, in the city of Calcutta in India, where I lived when I was adolescent, April and May are midsummer, and May is summer vacation for school. August is not summer vacation. The rain season is from June to August, but the way of falling is like a shower.

　Instead, for half a year from September to February of the following year, the days are similar to clear autumnal sky of Japan, and it is not so hot. So I traveled to domestic India and Nepal during this period. The regular concert of the Calcutta Symphony orchestra that I went to listen to was held every month during this season.
