慣れが良くなく、日々に新た
次女の誕生日の今朝、今年になって初めて黄色いユリが咲きました。黄色でも少し濃いので遠方からも目立ちます。ユリは球根なので特別な世話しなくても毎年、この時季に咲き、ものぐさな私にはとても便利な植物です。
と言っても、時には多少は肥料を与えたり、他の植物と同様に水遣りはします。それにより勢いが変わってくることが分かります。ですから、何事も「慣れが一番良くなく、日々に新た。」と自らに言い聞かせてます。この他、紅白2本のタチアオイ、ハイビスカスも今の時季は、恰も、音楽家がステージに立つかの如く輝いてます。
一方、私は一人暮らしのため、日々、どうしても怠惰な生活になりがちです。恥ずかしいですが、いい年して一つでも二つでもと英単語の習得を目指してます。これは記憶すること以外にありません。しかし、学生時代のように試験範囲はなく、無数にある言葉への挑戦で「如何にして効率よく記憶できるか」を工夫してます。つまり、記憶と言う挑戦です。
それには、平凡にやっていてはすぐ忘れてしまいます。先程の「慣れが一番良くない。日々に新た。」を肝に銘じて「辞書で調べて(目)、スペルを書いて(手)、ネイティブの発音を聴いて(耳)、発音記号に注意し発音し(口)、つまり五感を動員し、子供のとき、知らないうちに日本語を覚えたように「真似して実際に使っていく」ことが脳に定着すると考えてます。

土光敏夫さんの座右の銘は「日々新たなり」。「日新」だ。今日という一日に全力傾ける。今日一日一日を有意義に過ごす。
松下幸之助さんも日々是新（ひびこれあらた）。「日々是好日（ひびこれこうじつ）」といっている。素直で謙虚で、しかも創意に富む人は、毎日が明るく毎日が元気。
さあ、皆元気で、新しい日々を迎えよう。

瓢水さんへ・・・おはようございます。昨晩は某所へ行けなくって失礼いたしました。いつもながら愉快に過ごせたことでしょう。
私が英単語に挑戦してるのは、若き日の生活から、その必要性を感じているのが基盤でしょう。
一方、記憶し、実生活でブログで再現となると教育の基本である「真似から創造」への道にも合致し、何と言っても、現在、高齢化社会で心配されてる認知症への回避です。
この点、「日々に新たなり」は最たる方法と言えそうです。ところで、夫婦の在り方について大先輩の貴殿に今後、心の持ち方をいろいろ教わりたいです。
