　今日１１月３０日の日の出時刻は６時３５分(群馬県)のため、３月から倉賀野上四公園で行われていたラジオ体操会は薄暗いため今日で終わり、再開は来年３月です。３月になると、日の出は６時１５分になり、空は明るくなります。

　昨日６時３０分からのラジオ体操は、すでに薄暗くなってるため、私は、東の空高く輝いていた「明けの明星」を眺めながら体操しました。現在、金星と木星は反対の位置にあり、夕刻時には東の空にひときわ明るく「木星」が輝いてます。

　ところで、地元小学校児童の下校時におけるパトロールは１２月もあり、通学路を２Kほど巡回したり、信号機の所で旗振りします。３学期の初めは１週間継続して、登校時のパトロールが始まり、3学期の朝は寒いです。

　私はすでに１５年程パトロールに参加し、交通安全や不審者対策と共に、子供の顔を見ながら挨拶運動をしてますが、近年気づくことは、日本で生まれる子供の中には片親が外国人と想われる児童が推定２％ほどいます。

　しかし、子供にとっては、ここ日本が生まれ故郷であり、「外見だけで外国人扱いする偏見」は決してあってはならないことです。例えば、「お母さんの国はどこ？」など、私たちはつい、何気ない一言で「子供を悲しくさせていないか」今までになかった注意を徹底しなければなりません。

今日は何の日でしょう。

　もうすぐ師走というのに、温かい廊下に入れたことからでしょうか、ハイビスカスが咲いています。今後も咲く気配で蕾が出てます。今の季節の自然界は概して殺風景ですが、何ときれいな色彩を見せているのでしょう。

　一方、今日１１月２９日は「言い難いことを言える日」と聞いたことがあります。しかし、これはその後の人間関係にも影響することから、会社や親子など、その立場にある人は、サンドイッチ形式をとり、「最初に褒め、中身で言い難いことを言い、最後にまた褒める」形をとり、言葉巧みに言わなくてはなりません。しかし、本来、サンドイッチは中身が美味しいのですから、途中で「言い難いことを言うのは」難しいものです。いずれにしても、ポイントは「建設的であること」が重要です。

　私の今朝のがん対策(特に前立腺と大腸)は抗酸化作用の強いβーカロチンを含むニンジンジュースを先程の空腹時にコップ一杯飲みました。明日の朝はリコピンを含むトマトジュースを予定してます。

柿の美味しさ再確認

　昼食のデザートとして柿を戴きます。私カッキーが柿を食べても共食いではありません。この柿は私の庭に生ったものでなく、東隣り奥さんの実家で生ったものを戴きました。

　今の時季、柿は本当に美味しいです。意外と栄養があります。柿は血圧を調整するとともに動脈硬化を予防し、特に二日酔いに効果があるといわれてます。人間のカッキーは渋いですが、この柿は甘いです。

「終活」より、日々やることがある

　昨日は「終活」なんて全く考えいないことを書きました。それは人生は一度きりなので、私にはやることがあり、まだまだ道半ばだからです。その一つが、読めない漢字や、書けない漢字、日本語の素晴らしい表現が無限にあるからで、それを一歩でも克服したい気持ちが強いです。

　一方、自らの考え、自ら感じたこと、そして、日頃、耳にする言葉を英語に変換する英作文能力をもっと磨きたいからです。これは無限への挑戦であり、自らの記憶力に挑戦です。最近、記憶力で有利と考えてることは頭で考えたり、書くこと以上に「発音することにより脳に定着し」記憶に結びつくと感じてます。

　そういえば、小さな子供が言葉を覚えるのは「字を読んだり、書いたりせず、自ら話しつつ、耳で聞いて、実際に使って言葉を習得」してます。英語学習も小さな子供が日本語を覚える要領でしょう。

　もう一つ、ピアノでソナタやソナチネの名作を心行くまで弾き、速い曲より、「月光」や「雨だれ」、特に「ノクターン」など名作をゆっくり味わいたいです。次回、娘夫婦が来たとき手伝ってもらい、ピアノの向きを変え、以前のようにホームコンサート会場にして練習します。時間がもったいなくて「終活」なんて考える暇はとてもありません。

日々、目標に向かって前進あるのみ

　先日は、赤い実のクロガネモチを写真に載せましたが、今日の赤い実は裏庭の南天です。昔から何事にも忌みを避けるべき鬼門の方向である庭の北東の位置に魔除けとして植えたのです。子供の頃は雪が降ると雪でウサギを作り、南天の実を目玉にしたものです。

　ところで、今日はノーベル賞の日です。ノーベル賞の授賞式は，毎年，12月10日にスウェーデンのストックホルムとノルウェーのオスロで行われ、ダイナマイト発明者のアルフレド・ノーベル博士が、1895年11月27日付の遺言書で賞制定の意思を示し、1901年の今日、第1回授賞式が開かれました。

　2022年までの日本人の受賞者数28人はスイスに次いで世界で7番目であり、 一方、ノーベル賞の6つの部門のうち経済学賞については、未だ、日本人受賞者がいないといわれます。

　それにしても、「遺言によって」後の世界の功績のあった優れた人を対象に、１００年間も表彰が続いています。

　ところで、私はまだ「遺言」を考えたことがありません。それどころか、近年よく耳にする「終活」という言葉ほど嫌いな言葉はありません。そんな活動を考える暇があったら、一度しかない今後の人生を、自分の目指す生き方に向かって日々、最大限努力したい。先ず、今の状況を打破したい。

高前バイパスを走ります。

　軽のバンがあるので、普段はこれで買い物をしてます。このため、用がなければあまり乗らないブルーのAudi TT Quattroです。群馬の今日は天気が良いので、これから高前バイパスを走り、Audiの会社までドライブし、エンジンの調子を維持します。

　この秋田犬は娘が飼っているもので、先日、私の家に宿泊を兼ねてやって来ました。

群馬県には温泉がたくさんあります。

　特に、私が印象深かったのは万座温泉で、海抜1,800mに位置し、 緑に囲まれた上信越高原国立公園内の中の高山温泉郷です。源泉は硫黄泉で約80度といわれてます。露天風呂としては、奥利根にあった狸のお宿として有名な洞元荘の露天風呂は広かったですが、今は閉館してます。草津の西の河原の露天風呂も広いです。

　一方、今日１１月２６日は「鉄分の日」でもあります。一般的に鉄分が不足すると貧血になると考えられます。貧血は、血液中に含まれるヘモグロビンの量が減少した状態のことです。ヘモグロビンは、酸素を体のすみずみにまで運搬する働きをしているため、ヘモグロビンが減少すると全身が酸素不足になり、疲れやすい症状が現れると考えられます。

今宵、月と木星がランデブー

　今宵、月を撮りましたが、月齢１３なので光が強くて、いつものように月面のクレーターが全く写りません。その代わり、今宵は珍しく木星とのランデブーです。

野鳥との知恵比べは続く

　今まで庭に生る柿をあまり食べませんでした。この柿は亡父が、６０年前にここへ引っ越して来た記念に植えたものですが、どうしたことかあまり甘くなかったのです。つまり、渋い部分があったのです。私カッキーと同じく渋いのです。幼かった娘たちも庭の柿を食べた記憶はないかもしれません。

　しかし、私はどうにか甘くならないかと工夫した結果、幹の途中から芽が出てきたので、それを生かすことにし、それより上の今までの太い幹を思い切り、切り落としました。

　それから３年ほどしたら、新たな芽が成長し、今年は２０個程の柿が生りました。肝心の味は早く捥ぐと渋い感じなので、熟すのを待って食べたところ甘かったです。

　ところが、野鳥も同じ体験を持ち、色を見て先天的に美味しいかどうかを知っているのでしょう。甘くなると啄み始めます。もう２個食べられました。啄んてみて渋ければ途中で食べるのを止めてしまいます。

　ですから、私も負けてはいられません。毎日、観察し触ってみて少し柔らかくなったり、赤くなったら捥ぐようにしてます。食したところ、赤くなれば渋くなく甘いです。これからも野鳥と私の知恵比べによる柿の奪い合いが続きます。

　Until now, I haven't eaten many persimmons that grow in my garden. This persimmon was planted by my late father in commemoration of when we moved here 60 years ago, but for some reason it wasn't very sweet. 毎朝、挨拶に来る秋田犬

　毎朝、倉賀野上四公園で行われているラジオ体操会は１２月１日～２月末日まで休みになります。理由は日の出が遅くなり、今後６時半は暗くなることや寒さのためです。また、来年３月１日から再開します。どなたでも参加できます。

　ところで、この体操会には毎朝、秋田犬一頭が顔を見せ、メンバー１人１人に愛嬌を振りまいてます。名前は「かんちゃん」で２才です。メンバーは自然と「かんちゃん」に触り、にこにこしながら話しかけてます。秋田犬には人間の子供に似たような絆が感じられます。

　ですから、忠犬ハチ公は主人が亡くなった後まで、渋谷駅で主人の帰りを待ち続けていたことが頷けます。どれ程、主人の姿が見たかったのでしょう。大好きだった主人を待ち続ける一途な気持ちに涙が出ます。実は、私の長女も秋田犬２頭を飼ってます。

四季を通じて、庭を植物によるキャンパスに

　１１月下旬の今の季節に、これほど目立つ植物も少ないでしょう。しかも、植物名は、私の住んでる町名に発音が似てるクロガネモチです。私の町名は倉賀野町。現在、真っ赤な実をつけ、丈は私の身長より少し高いです。未だ幼木なので、これからの成長が楽しみです。

　実は、昨日の夕方、このクロガネモチを思い切り庭の中でも東南の良い所に植え替えました。もちろん、今の季節は植え替えの時季ではありませんが、根から離したところから掘り出し、土を落とさずに植え替えることができたので枯れることはないでしょう。根の周囲には更に赤玉土と腐葉土を充分に入れ、井戸水を与えました。

　私の秘かな計画は、「庭全体を一枚のキャンパス」と考え、植物による多種の色彩で描こうと思ってます。春から夏にかけては比較的楽に多くの花木が咲きますが、四季を通じても、可能な限り、何らかの花木の植物が咲いて、住んでる私はもちろん、前の道を通過する人の心を潤すことです。

　クロガネモチの良さは冬季の赤い実が特徴ですが、ご覧の通り、常緑樹であり、樹木が成長すればするほど、冬の期間でもバランスの取れた色彩です。しかも、年間を通じて、私たち人間や動物にとって不可欠な光合成を盛んに行います。

ドライブには絶好のシーズン

　群馬県の方ならお判りでしょうが、ここは何処でしょう。遠方にテーブルマウンテン、つまり頂上が平らな「荒船山」が見えます。愛車アウディーＴＴクワトロでドライブによく行く場所です。

１１月下旬、寒さに弱い植物を室内へ

　１１月下旬は例年、寒さに弱い植物を家の中の日当たりの良い廊下に入れ、寒さ対策をしてやります。特に、アフリカが原産地と想われる君子蘭はこれからの日本の季節では葉が萎れてしまいます。今まで、折角、良く成長してきたので引き続いて冬の管理を徹底します。

　一方、生来、日本の気候に慣れてる日本シャクナゲは大きくて持ち上げられないこともあり、庭で冬を越します。群馬県北部に位置する嬬恋村の「愛妻の丘」周辺には同じ日本シャクナゲの群生があり、ここの気温は今後、氷点下になるのですから、日本シャクナゲは低温には大丈夫でしょう。

　その代わり、西洋シャクナゲの運べる大きさのものだけ室内に入れました。こちらは銀嶺と命名され、花は白の中に薄いピンクが微かに混ざります。その他、現在咲いてるハイビスカスや芙蓉、来春咲くアマリリスも室内に入れました。

　このため、殺風景だった室内は途端に家族が増えたように賑やかです。併せて、年末から正月にかけては娘たち家族が泊まりに来るので、静まり返っていた我が家は蜂の巣を叩いたように活気に満ちます。

　私の感想です。

　今後、１００年経過してもこの成績に変化は殆どないでしょう。ということは、逆に日本はそれだけ「平和で住みやすい国」、「素晴らしい日本語の国」と言えます。過去の歴史を見ても、他国に何十年～何百年も侵略され支配されたことはありません。つまり、遠い先祖の時代から生活に英語が必要なかったのです。

　私の考えです。

　日本で英語と言えば、中学生時代は高校入試に備えるための手段であり、高校生時代は大学入試に備えるための手段でした。それが終われば殆ど使いません。つまり、平素の生活で英語を使う必要がない国です。

　しかし、英語を使えるようになるには、中学生から「これを英語で何というか」という観点に立ち、和英辞典を７割引き、英和辞典を３割程度引く英語の授業に切り替え、英作文を主とし、英作文は英借文と考え、例文を真似ることです。近所の女子中学生に尋ねたら英語の辞書を持ってないと言いました。教科書に単語の意味が載ってるらしいです。授業とは勉強の仕方を教える所です。真似から創造への過程が教育です。

　ところで、英語の力をつけるには、辞書を引く回数に比例すると考えます。私は今でも、英語の辞書を引かない日はありません。おっと、これは若いときサボったからです。

　木々の葉は紅葉から落葉へと変わり、ここ1週間ほどで季節は晩秋から初冬へと推移してます。

　数日前から急激に気温が下がり始めたので、私たちの体調への影響はもちろん、植物にとっても低温は良くないです。

　このため、１週間前からご覧のハイビスカスを廊下の日当たりの良い場所に移したら、晩秋というのにご覧の通り、蕾がたくさん出てきました。ハワイや沖縄など暖かい地域が原産地のハイビスカスにとっては温かいことが幸いしてるのでしょう。花の少ないこれからの季節に開花し、何かと沈みがちな人間に希望を与えています。

　ところで、就寝中、未明の午前２時頃に目が覚め、何気なく眼科からもらった目薬を右目だけに１滴垂らしました。そして再度寝たところ、その直後から喘息のように気管が詰まる症状が出て苦しくなりました。激しく咳が出て考えられないまさかの事態です。実は１０日ほど前にも同じ症状が出ました。しかし、その時は原因に気づきませんでした。

　寝てはいられないので１時間ほど起きていたら軽くなり、再度ベッド入りましたら今朝まで眠れました。

　目薬でも場合によっては副作用として、すぐに喘息の症状が出ることを知りました。すべての目薬ではありませんが、私が使用したのは「広範囲抗菌点眼薬」です。薬の名はモキシフロキサシンです。次回、眼科に行って医師に相談します。

御荷鉾山山頂からの景色に感銘

　写真は、群馬県の平野部から、よく見える東御荷鉾【みかぼ、左１２４６m】と西御荷鉾【右１２８６m】です。とりわけ、私のウォーキングコースである鏑川の土手からは丸みを帯びた雄大な二つの山並みが迫って見えます。

　実は、幼き日の二人の娘を連れて両峰とも山頂を極めました。特に下の娘は２才だったので、私が殆ど背負って登りましたが、頂上に近くなってからは自身に歩かせ、日本アルプスや、関東平野の景色が開ける瞬間を味わわせました。４０代になった娘たちは覚えているでしょうか。

　山頂から北に目をやると、高崎・前橋など群馬の中央部が手に取るように見えます。また、平地で見る姿と異なり、高い位置からは赤城山・榛名山が更に大きく聳えて見えます。南に目をやると富士はもちろん、山梨や長野県の山々が見えます。日本は山また山を実感します。

　御荷鉾山の山頂へ登ると驚くことがあります。それは平素はあり得ないことですが、榛名山の全景の遥か上に谷川岳を中心とする上越国境の山脈が連なって見えることです。頭で分かっていても、実際にこの光景を眺めると、平素の榛名山の景色とは全く異なり、群馬県民でも思わず溜息が出るでしょう。

美しい姿の浅間山、しかし、活火山を忘れまい！

　一昨日の寒さで浅間山に初冠雪がありました。この写真は昨日の午後３時に木部町の鏑川の土手をウォーキング中に撮影しました。一日経過しましたが、北側【右側】の「鬼押し出」の上の方が微かに白く見えます。

　一方、ご覧の通り、頂上【２５６８m】の火口から噴煙が勢いよく立ち上ってます。２０代のとき西の小諸側から１回、東の群馬県「峰の茶屋」側から２回登頂し、利根川の蛇行など関東平野が一望できる景色の素晴らしさが今でも脳裏に焼き付いてます。頂上は一周１kmほどある巨大な噴火口です。

　火口は桶の如く垂直に切り立っており、深さは推定２００mほどです。いずれのときも火口内の崖の途中から煙が出ており、硫黄の匂いがしました。この状況が数百万年前から続いているのでしょう。特に、天明３年【１７８３年】の大噴火では、今でも鎌原村が埋没したままといわれます。

　美しい姿の浅間山ですが、活火山なので今後も十分に注意しなくてはなりません。私が中学生のときも大噴火し、噴煙が５０００mほど立ち上り、その後、風に乗った火山灰が５０㎞離れた私の倉賀野町でも音を立てて降った記憶があります。

When I was a junior high school student, there was a huge eruption, and volcanic smoke rose about 5,000 meters. I remember volcanic ash carried by the wind making a loud noise in my hometown of Kuragano, 50 km away.

野鳥は餌を探し求めてる

　今日は旧暦で１０月2日ですから、月が出るのは夕方で西の空で微かにです。明後日ごろから三日月のように、日本では右側が光る上弦の月が出ます。南半球では左側が光ります。

　昨日は木枯らし１号が吹き、小学生の下校を見守ってるとき寒くて、季節が冬になったことが分かりました。寒い所にずっといたためでしょう。今朝になってから気管の調子が変です。

　ところで、写真のように庭には柿が生ってますが、私は未だ一つも捥いでません。一方、野鳥は赤くなった柿が美味しいことを知っていて順々に啄んでます。四季を通じてよい声で鳴く野鳥なので、人間の私がすべて捥いでは申し訳なく、うまく共存共生を図ります。

　同様に、今年は、全国で熊が多く出没し、例年になく怪我人が出ているとニュースが伝えてます。原因はおそらく気候変動であり、結果的にブナの実が少ないことや、イノシシが増え山岳地帯に熊の餌が減少してるとも考えられます。対策が難しいですが、子熊まで銃で撃つのは可哀そう過ぎます。上手く捕らえて自然に返したいです。

いよいよ頭上に広がる「冬のダイヤモンド」の季節

　これからの季節では、地球は太陽と写真の「冬のダイヤモンド」の間を進んで行きます。「冬のダイヤモンド」は２０時頃に東の空に上がり、深夜に南に達し、明け方に西の空に進みます。この中にはすぐに分かる「オリオン座」が含まれてるので、それを頼りに「冬のダイヤモンド」全体を捉えてください。ダイヤモンドを形成する６個の星はすべて一等星です。その巨大さに、きっと感動されるでしょう。

次女の次女が七五三です。

　小1なので、ふざけていて普通の顔が出来ません。私の事をグランパと呼んでくれます。

　それでも、ご覧の通り、玄関前のハイビスカス【下】と芙蓉【上】が、いかにも私に元気を出しなさいとばかり、再度、咲き出しました。蕾もまたいくつか出てきました。

　咲くのは嬉しいですが、気候変動が原因でしょうか。来年から暮らし難くなったら自然も人間も大変に困ります。何と言っても、食料の穀類、野菜、果物の収穫の減収や、海では魚の泳ぐ海域が変化すると食糧危機に至ります。

　日本列島は温帯に属し、比較的バランスよく食料に有り付けましたが、昨今は春と秋が短く、四季から夏と冬だけの二季になりつつあるように感じます。この点からもコンクリートの庭を減らし、一層、緑に覆われた環境づくりに取り組みましょう。

インドの会に出席

　今日１１月１１日は、第一次世界大戦が終わった日であることから「世界平和の日」です。また、１が並ぶことから「介護の日」であり、更に、「独身の日」であり、１１人対１１人で「サッカーの日」です。

　ところで、昨日は最初の就職で勤務したインド・カルカッタ日本人学校時代の職員の会が開かれました。心はすぐに当時の日本人学校に戻り、話題は南国の日々を暮らした青春時代に花が咲きました。

　真剣に行なった授業研究会の晩はモキャンボというレストランで生演奏を聴きつつ、インド料理とビールを楽しんだこと、職場にいたインド人職員たちのこと、住まいであった日本総領事館内の宿舎のこと、ネパールで見た高くて長い万年雪のヒマラヤ山脈に感動したこと、また、当時の生徒さんが現在、世界で活躍してることなどに話が及び、話題は尽きませんでした。

　出席者は年齢だけは増しましたが、皆、当時と同じで、お元気で何よりで、再会を期し、充実した楽しいインドの会でした。

　私としては、カルカッタシンフォニーの演奏会を聴いた後、常任のユダヤ人指揮者バーナードヤコブ氏に会い、指揮法のレッスンをお願いし、以後ずっと教わっていたことが懐かしいです。これは帰国後、群馬の高校で吹奏楽を指揮する気持ちが強かったからです。

　Today, November 11th, is World Peace Day because it marks the end of World War I. Also, since 1 is in a row, it is "Nursing Care Day", and furthermore, it is "Singles Day", and 11 people against 11 people is "Soccer Day".
　

　By the way, yesterday there was a meeting for the staff at the Japanese School in Calcutta, India, where I worked at my first job. My mind immediately returned to the Japanese school at the time, and the topic bloomed from my youth, when we lived in a tropical country.

　On the evening of the serious lesson study session, we enjoyed Indian food and beer while listening to live music at a restaurant named Mocambo, the Indian staff at our workplace, and the dormitory at the Japanese Consulate General where we lived. We talked about how impressed we were with the Himalayas, which are high and covered in perpetual snow, that we saw in Nepal, and how some of our former students are now active in the world.

　Although the attendees have grown older, they are all the same as they were in Calcutta, and most of all, they are in good spirits. It was a fulfilling and enjoyable Indian meeting, with the hope of seeing each other again.

　Personally, I have memory of listening the Calcutta Symphony's concert, every time Japanese was only me in the audience. After performance, I met Mr. Bernard Jacob who was the permanent Jewish conductor, and I asked him for conducting lessons. Since then, He continued to teach me conducting, for instant "Unfinished Symphony by Schubert. This was because after I return to Japan, I had a strong desire to conduct the wind orchestra at a high school in Gumma, Japan.

ブログが「長寿会お知らせ版」今月号に掲載される

　今月発行された倉賀野上四地区「長寿会お知らせ版」に拙い私のブログ記事が「カッキーズブログ」として掲載されました。しかし、医学の専門家でないので心配であったり、恥ずかしい気持ちもあります。

　確かに、特濃豆乳に切り替えてますが、エネルギー源の確保やカルシューム摂取も必要なことから、朝食では依然として牛乳をコップに一杯飲んでます。

　ところで、年を重ねて一人暮らしであり、健康維持で特別に注意してることは「高血圧対策」と「がん予防」です。どちらも目に見えないことから気づき難い病魔です。

　「高血圧対策」を何もしないと、最終的には大動脈解離になる可能性があり、これは動脈が裂けてしまうことです。特に高血圧が重要な危険因子といわれてます。私は医師の処方による薬を飲んでます。

　一方、「がん対策」は人工的に造られた食品であるソーセージやハムを避け、肉は週一回程度にしてます。大腸がん専門医の話では、大腸がんの原因は肉を多く食べる人といわれてます。

　既に１０年ほど継続してることは、毎朝の空腹時にリコピンを含むトマトジュース又はグレイブフルーツジュース、βーカロチンを含むニンジンジュースを日替わりで飲んでます。空腹時では、これらの飲み物は喉～食道～胃～十二指腸～小腸へと一気に流れ込みます。

健康を期して１時間ほど歩きます。

眺望の良い牛伏山山頂

　実は、１０日ほど前、超高層ビルが建ち並ぶ新宿へ行って人混みの中を歩いてから風邪気味になりました。もう大分回復したので、昨日はお気に入りの「吉井・牛伏ドリームセンター」で一風呂浴びてきました。この施設は高崎市が経営し、食事も宿泊もできます。

　風呂の窓からは牛伏山が手に取るように迫り、その山頂はご覧の通り、立派なお城が構え、このお城内へは自由に入館でき、三階からは高崎・前橋の街並みが眼下に見えます。高崎市内でこんなに景色のよい所は少ないでしょう。標高４９１ｍの山頂へはハイキングコースがあり、車でも行けます。正面に見えるのは上毛三山の一つ「赤城山」です。その名の通り、城から城を眺めるかの如くです。

　この山頂は散策できる公園になっており、標高が高いことから、景色と空気がよく、日頃の憂さを忘れ、お弁当を持って散策するにはとても理想的な高天原です。頂上には数日前にご覧いただいた「東屋」があり、小鳥の声を聴きつつ、今は紅葉の真っ盛りで、ここで休憩できます。牛伏山山頂はお薦めです。

　The summit of this mountain is a park where you can take a walk, and due to its high altitude, the scenery is breathtaking and air are fresh. 植物ともある・・・新たな出会い

　どうしたことでしょう。近所に咲いてた濃い橙色の菊を見てから、私は急に菊の色彩の素晴らしさに魅入ってしまいました。その菊はしばらく前に(１１月１日)このページで紹介したことがあります。

　植物を比較的多く育てていても、菊は草花に近いことから私はあまり関心がなかったです。しかし、菊は多年草であり、芍薬や、球根の水仙、チュウリップ、グラジオラスと同様に、何もしなくても春になると芽が出て、毎年開花するので、あまり世話が要りません。

　それはそうと、不思議なことに、高崎市内の大きな植木屋を巡てみても菊は殆ど販売されてません。仕方なく、昨日もドライブを兼ね、埼玉県・花園町まで行ったら、すぐに写真の菊に出合えました。見て1秒もかからず私はその色彩と紋様の虜になり、しかも、一鉢２４０円と安価なこともあって、色違いの４鉢を購入しました。

　家に帰って、早速、比較的大きな植木鉢に植え替え、水をたっぷり与えたところ、今朝になったら生き返ったかのごとく見事な色彩で、しかも、生き生きしています。拡大してご覧ください。この花の手前にいるような臨場感が出ます。まるで、この家に嫁に来て良かったと言ってるようです。

　What happened? After seeing the deep orange chrysanthemums blooming in my neighborhood, I was suddenly captivated by the splendor of that chrysanthemum color. I introduced that chrysanthemum to you on this page at November 1st.

生涯に亘り、楽器が演奏できる幸せ！

　実は、前高に勤務してたとき、ギターを５０台用意し、音楽の授業で生徒全員で、この曲のギター伴奏を合奏した思い出があります。曲の前半は、指一本一歩を丁寧に交代で動かす八分音符によるアルページョです。後半は和音を刻む形です。ピアノや他の楽器伴奏でも可能ですが、この曲に限っては、ギター独特の哀愁味ある音色が、曲の雰囲気によく合致します。

　早速、今の季節の花「菊」を手に入れ、二種類の土(腐葉土、赤玉土)を比較的大きな植木鉢に入れ、水遣りして育て始めました。

自然の中で、お茶を飲みリラックスする対話

　不思議なことに、群馬県の前橋・高崎などから、この山は見えません。ところが、埼玉県からは見える不思議な山です。高山だからでしょう。以前に、今は亡き友人たちと四阿山に登頂したときの感銘は忘れられません。誠に素晴らしい山頂からの光景です。旅は道連れ世は情け。同行者が誕生した暁にはもう一度行くつもりです。なお、これからの登山は熊に遭遇することが起こり得るので、音のするものを身に付けてることが必要です。

　昨日はよい事が二つありました。午前中は早速、季節の花である菊を求めて埼玉県の花園へ車を走らせ、グリーンセンターで数ある菊の中から迷うことなく、ご覧のとおり、４本が鉢に植わった菊を手にしました。価格も安く、一般の菊より大輪です。特に黄緑の菊は珍しく感じます。この菊を見た瞬間は、まるで、人との出会いのようでした。

　一方、そこから３分ほどの所にある「植木流通センター」では、色彩の異なるものを含め、今度は小さい一般の菊が見つかりました。１時間後、帰宅してから大きな植木鉢に植え替えました。こちらは後日、写真をアップします。菊の開花期間は長いので、花の少ない今の季節に庭の主役になるでしょう。前の道を歩く人によく見えるように台の上に並べました。写真の菊たちは音楽演奏のカルテットのようです。

　ところで、昨日、嬉しかったもう一つの件は、半年ぶりの歯科の定期検診で歯石を除去してもらいましたが、歯科衛生士と歯科医に「歯茎がしっかりしている」、「出血がどこにもない」、「口内がきれいである」と思いもよらず褒められました。

　ここだけの話ですが、私は磨き方の９割を「歯ブラシを縦に持って上下に磨いてます。」これが意外に磨き残しがなく、結果的によく磨けたと思ってます。歯の数は７本×上下左右４か所で２８本すべてあります。亡き母の言葉「自分の歯で食べなくては美味しくないよ。」が常に心に刻まれてます。

An hour later, I returned home and retransplanted it into a larger pot. I will upload photo of it later. Chrysanthemums have a long flowering period, so they will become the centerpiece of my garden during this season when there are few flowers. I arranged them on a stand so that people walking in front of my garden will see them clearly. The chrysanthemums in the photo look like a quartet playing music.

　Not change the subject, but another thing that made me happy yesterday was that I had tartar removed at my regular dental checkup for the first time in six months, and the dental hygienist and dentist said to me my gums were strong and there are not a bleeding gum. I was unexpectedly complimented, that "Kakky's tooth are clean and mouth is clean."

　This is just between you and me and lamppost, 90% of the way of my brushing, I hold my toothbrush vertically and brush up and down. This surprisingly leaves no residue to brushing left behind, so that as the result, I think I'm able to brush well. 　今宵、よく晴れた東の空に一際明瞭な１９日目の「下弦の月」が出ています。それにしてもクレーターがたくさん見え、荒涼とした月面の世界が垣間見られます。

　明日の月は今日より約１２°東へ行くので、月の出る時間は１時間遅くなり、午後９時頃です。

　写真では見かけ上、弦が上にありますが、地球の自転により、月が西の空に行くと弦が下になるので「下弦の月」です。

暫くぶりに、菊の色彩に感銘

　現在の家族形態では考えられませんが、私は６人兄弟の末っ子であるのに両親と共に暮らしてました。両親と長く暮らしていたことで大きく影響を受けたことの一つに、植物を愛でる気持ちが育ちました。それが元で、現在でも多くの植物に囲まれ生活しています。

　以前に両親が健在の頃、私の庭にも菊が２～３種類ありました。しかし、いつの間にかその姿が無くなり、かなりの年数が経ちました。ところが、昨日、比較的近くの家に咲いてたご覧の菊を見て、その色彩に感銘し、若き日が蘇りました。

　植物を鑑賞する観点には、枝ぶりなど樹形、花の紋様や大きさ、花の色彩がありますが、昨日、ご覧の菊を見て、最終的には色彩の美しさのように感じてしまいました。このため、今後は再度、菊を育てる気持ちが強くなってます。

　昔を思い出すと、菊にはいろいろの色彩があり、しかも、私の好きな多年草です。何もしなくても毎年芽が出て咲きます。１１月がチャンスなので、あちこち巡り、菊を手に入れようと決意しました。耳では、音楽の音色やハーモニーが心を打ちます。目から入る感動は色彩の美しさと感じています。

　This morning, when I opened the management screen of the blog, I was surprised to see photos of Japanese rhododendrons and Western rhododendrons that I had previously taken in my garden. 音楽の素晴らしさ・・・国際交流に最適

　今日から１１月です。群馬県北部の紅葉の名所・坤六峠付近へドライブでよく行きましたが、すでに紅葉は盛りを過ぎ、今後、平地でも朝晩は寒さが身に沁みてくる季節でしょう。

　谷川岳、白砂山など上越国境の山岳地帯では、すでに雪の便りが聞かれます。季節が寒冷に近づくと、私たちの身体活動はどうしても小さくなる傾向です。可能な限り、意識して手足の可動範囲を広くしたいものです。それによって私たちの活動も広がり、延いては、見聞も広まります。

　ところで、写真はピアノを弾きながら見られるインドの絵の一つです。ご覧の通り、日本人と異なる風習の一つに頭の上に物を乗せて運びます。これは日常生活で見られる光景で、確かに重たいものは腕で持つより楽でしょう。腕は落ちないように支えるだけで、バランスを保つことから彼女たちの姿勢はいいです。

　ピアノの部屋には木製の１４頭の象の行進、インド各州ごとに、民族衣装を纏った５０人程の人形も並んでます。近年、インドの方が我が家を訪れたのは一人だけです。このようなとき、私が先ず初めに行うのは「インド国歌」の演奏です。気持ちがぐっと近づきます。

　ホームステイで他の外国、(例えば中国、韓国、イギリス、ニュージーランド、アメリカ)の方が来訪した場合も同じです。遠い日本の真ん中に来て、まさか祖国の国歌が聞けるとは思ってもなかったのでしょう。涙を浮かべる人もいます。国際交流に音楽は必須です。
