生涯に亘り、楽器が演奏できる幸せ！

　夕刻に故郷・倉賀野町をウォーキングしてると日に日に秋が深まってることが感じ取れる季節です。それに伴って植物は次第にその色彩が褪せつつあります。しかし、その荒涼となりつつ中にあって、意外と色濃い植物が最後の力を振り絞り、個性ある色彩美を見せ、私はつい立ち止まります。

　ところで、今の季節に相応して歌の一つに、昔から歌われてる「旅愁」があります。日に日に深まる秋と共に、この歌には何となく心の侘しさや哀愁が漂います。特に、「恋しや故郷、懐かし父母」がほろりと来ます。

　実は、前高に勤務してたとき、ギターを５０台用意し、音楽の授業で生徒全員で、この曲のギター伴奏を合奏した思い出があります。曲の前半は、指一本一歩を丁寧に交代で動かす八分音符によるアルページョです。後半は和音を刻む形です。ピアノや他の楽器伴奏でも可能ですが、この曲に限っては、ギター独特の哀愁味ある音色が、曲の雰囲気によく合致します。

　私たちの周囲の大人を見回しても、何か楽器を奏でる人は数少ないです。その点、高校時代に全員必修でクラシックギター奏法を学習に取り入れました。これは今でも意義があったと感じてます。もちろん、有名なギター曲「禁じられた遊び」にも全員が取り組みました。前の授業が終わると、音楽室に飛び込んできた姿が懐かしいです。

　When we look around at the adults around us, there are only a few who play any kind of musical instrument. On that point, when I was in the high school, all students were required to study classical guitar playing techniques. I still feel that this lesson was significant. Of course, every students also tackled the famous guitar music "Forbidden Play" that means Les Jeux Interdits. I remember how students would rush into the music room after the previous class.
