思いも寄らず、暫くぶりの再会に感銘

　北西よりの季節風が強い一日です。今の時季は冷たい大陸の高気圧(1026ｍｂ)と暖かい太平洋高気圧(1018ｍｂ)が押し合い圧し合いし、その間にある低気圧(988ｍｂ)に向かって強風が吹き込みます。しかし、太陽光の角度は正午で５２°であり(因みに冬至では３０°)太陽光はかなり強烈であることが感じ取れます。

　その季節を上手く利用するかの如く、先日、取り上げましたご覧の東洋錦(ボケ)は今朝、紅、白、そして絞りの花がバランスよく咲き始めました。

　観賞してる私に対し、２０年間一人暮らしと言えども「周囲にはフェイスブック友人を始め、カッキーはよい人に囲まれてることを幸せに思いなさい」と諭しているように感じます。生きてく上では、誰でも良い状態や辛い環境は当たり前であり、それを一歩一歩クリアーしていく途上で、温かな人とも出会うものです。

　ところで、昨日、私の家の前の上四集会所「ふるさと」で行われた会合では本当に驚きました。それは、倉賀野町で「子ども食堂」を主宰してるＯさんにお会いしたところ、彼と私は大分以前に前橋市でお会いしてたことが分かり、久しぶりの対面に感動しました。

　というのは、彼は「ロンドン日本人学校」の教員としてイギリスに滞在してたことがあり、彼が赴任する際に前橋市で行われた壮行会の式典で、私は彼に「イギリス国歌の歌詞付き楽譜」を贈呈したことがあったのです。それは昨日、彼との歓談中に分かったことで、正に旧交を温める結果になりました。そして、現在の彼の生き方にも感銘しました。

　また、昨日は同席された県議のＡ子さんとも再会しました。２～３年前、私が倉賀野町の田子屋地区をウォーキング中に彼女の方から声を掛けてくださり、暫く話しが出来ました。そして今回、名の知れた彼女とも暫くぶりに再会でき、倉賀野町の諸問題解決に向け、真剣に取り組まれてる姿に深く感銘しました。今度、時間が許すとき、花を見に来られ、拙い私のピアノ演奏を聴いてくださるようにお願いしました。

　昨日は素晴らしいお二人に再会でき、誠に有意義な日でした。「人生とは孤独に生活してても、良い人にお会いできるもの」と確信が持て、お陰で明日からの生きる力が湧いてきました。

　Yesterday, I was really surprised at the meeting held at the Kami-4th Community Hall "Furusato" in front of my house. When I met Mr. Ohki, who runs a children's restaurant in Kuragano-Town, I learned that he and I had met in Maebashi City before, and I was moved to meet him after a long interval.

　This is because he had previously stayed in England as a teacher at the "London Japanese School", and at the farewell ceremony held in Maebashi City when he was transferred, I presented him the British national anthem of a sheet music with lyrics. I found out about this matter yesterday while chatting with him, and it ended up rekindling our old friendship. I was also impressed by his current lifestyle.

　At the same time, I met up with Ms. Atsuko, a prefectural assembly member. She was also present in this party yesterday. A few years ago, while I was walking in the Tagoya-district in Kuragano-Town, she approached me and we were able to talk for a while. This time, I was able to meet the well-known lady again for the first time in a while, and I was deeply impressed by how seriously she is working to solve the problems of Kuragano-Town. Next time when she has time, I asked her to come and see my flowers and listen to my clumsy piano performance.

　Yesterday was a truly meaningful day as I was able to meet these two wonderful people again. I became convinced that "Even if we live alone, we have opportunity to meet good people in life,'' and thanks to this experience, I gained the strength to live from now on.
