　今日は４月１７日で明治５年までの旧暦では３月３日の「桃の節句」を過ぎ、３月９日で、しかも、大安です。結婚するなら今日が薦められ、同様に大安は旅行、移転、開店、車の購入などに良い日といわれてます。

　この大安や友引、あるいは仏滅などといわれる六曜は「旧暦では日付と六曜が結びついており、毎年同じ」です。つまり六曜については未来永劫に亘り、１年中が決まってます。

　その順番は先勝、友引、先負、仏滅、大安、赤口です。また、旧暦の一月一日は先勝で始まり、以下、二月は友引から、三月は先負から、四月は仏滅から、五月は大安から、六月は赤口から始まり、後半も同様に、七月は先勝から始まり、八月は友引から、九月は先負から、十月は仏滅から、十一月は大安から、十二月は赤口から始まります。

　旧暦の日付と「月の満ち欠け」は必ず一致してます。三日月がでれば３日であり、十五夜の日は１５日です。いざよいの月が出れば１６日です。現代のように紙のカレンダーがない時代では、月を眺めればその日が分かるので、便利だったと考えられます。ただ、生まれた日が仏滅の場合、その人の誕生会は毎年、仏滅だったことになります。

　The 6day's order is Sensho, Tomobiki, Sakimet, Butsumetsu, Taian, and Shakou. Also, the first day of January in the lunar calendar begins with Sensho, then February starts with Tomobiki, March with Sakimake, April with Butsumetsu, May with Taian, June with Shakou, and the same goes for the second half of years, July starts with Sensho, August with Tomobiki, September with Sakimake, October with Butsumetsu, November with Taian, and December with Shakou.

　The lunar calendar date and the celestial "phases of the moon" always match. If the crescent moon appears, it will be the 3rd of month, and the full moon indicates the 15th. After the full moon, it will be the 16th. In a period when there were no paper calendars, it would have been convenient to be able to tell the day by looking at the moon phase. However, if the person's birth date is Butsumetsu of unlucky day then that person's birthday party will be held every year on Butsumetsu.
