人と人との絆を求め、今後も地区の役員を続けたい

　私の家の前には倉賀野町上四地区の集会所「ふるさと」があります。その前の掲示板に今月号の「長寿会お知らせ版」が掲示されました。今月号にも拙いブログの一部が掲載され、私は嬉しいやら恥ずかしいやらの心境です。

　内容は、ご覧の通りですが、今や私自身が高齢であり、しかも、一人暮らしを余儀なくされてることから、大切な生き方として「家の中に引き込まらない」ようにしてます。特に、地区の方々との交流を通じて身近な会話が出来たり、相談が出来たりしてます。

　このため、すでに１５年ほど地元・倉賀野小児童の登下校時のパトロールを続けてます。子供たちに対しては可能な限り、こちらから声を掛け、また、一人で歩いてる子に対しては「何の勉強が好き？」や、「何のスポーツが得意？」などと具体的に話しかけるように努め、社会は「人と人とが言葉で繋がってる」意識を持ってもらいたい気持ちがあります。

　一方、高齢女性宅のゴミ出しで、注意していることは女性は私より「人生の大先輩である」ことを頭に入れ、話す機会があるときには物事を教わる気持ちで接してます。地区の仕事は今後も続けたいと思っています。

　In front of my house is the "Furusato" meeting hall for the Kami-4th district of Kuragano-Town. This month's "Chojukai that means Longevity Association Announcement Edition" has been posted on the bulletin board in front of it. By the way, a part of my humble blog was also published in this month's issue, which made me happy and embarrassed.

　As you can read the content, but I am old and being forced to live alone, so I try not to stay inside my house as an important way of living. In particular, I am able to have friendly conversations and ask for advice through interactions with people in the area.

　For this reason, I have been patrolling the streets of the local Kuragano Elementary School for about 15 years as the children go to and from school. Whenever possible, I try to talk to the children by myself, and when I see a child walking alone, I try to talk to him or her specifically, such as "What subject do you like to study?" or "What sport are you good at?" I want students to be aware that "people are connected by words."

　On the other hand, when I take out the trash at the home of elderly woman, I keep in mind that she is my "seniors in life," and when I have the chance to talk to her, I try to approach her with the intention of learning from her, I would like to continue working in the area from now on.
