ブラックマンデーになるかと思いきや、上昇中！

　月曜なので、今朝、１００mほど離れた所の一人暮らしで９０才の高齢女性宅のゴミを集積所まで出しました。この作業はすでに５年ほど行ってます。今朝は、たまたま彼女と話ができ、私が「昨日は選挙に行けましたか。」と尋ねると、「数日前に昔の友人の車に乗せてもらい、期日前投票に行きました。」との応えに素晴らしく感じました。

　近年、日本は急激な高齢化が進み、一人暮らしの人や、施設に入居中の人、そして認知症の人も増加し、それによっても投票率が５２％と低下しています。その点、彼女の気迫は素晴らしく、私も見習わなくてはなりません。

　ところで、岸田総理から石破総理に変わるや否や、衆議院を解散しました。これは「政治と金」の問題を国民に問うとのことで、急遽、慌ただしい選挙となりました。結果は、２００９年以来１５年振りに与党の過半数割れとなり、今後の日本はいよいよ混迷の社会となって行くでしょう。このため、今日はブラックマンデーになると私は覚悟してました。

　ところがどうしたことでしょう。日経平均株価は、選挙結果に好印象を持ったのでしょうか。予想に反し、先週末より８００円も値上がりして始まりました。一方、来月早々はアメリカ大統領選挙です。私は米国株価のナスダックに注目してます。現在、ハリー候補とトランプ元大統領の大接戦ですから、世界情勢の行方と米国株価から目が離せません。

　その前に先ず、罪のない子供を含め多くの民間人が犠牲になってる中近東とウクライナの戦争を終結させなくてはなりません。どちらが戦争を終結できるでしょうか。

Dear my friends abroad

　It's Monday, so this morning I took out the garbage from the house of a 90-year-old woman who lives alone about 100 meters away from my residence to the collection point. 　In recent years, Japan has been rapidly aging society, and the number of people living alone the same as me, those in nursing homes, and those suffering from senile dementia has increased, which has also led to a drop in the voter turnout to 52%. In that respect, her spirit is wonderful, so that I must emulate her way of living.

　Not change the subject, but as soon as previous Prime Minister Kishida was replaced by Prime Minister Ishiba, the House of Representatives was dissolved. This was a sudden and hectic election, as it was said to ask the people about the problem of "politics and money." The result was that the ruling party lost its majority for the first time in 15 years since 2009, and Japan will likely become a more and more chaotic society in the future. For this reason, I had prepared myself for today to be a Black Monday.

　But what happened? Perhaps the Nikkei stock average was impressed by the election results. Contrary to my worry, it opened the day up by 800 yen from last weekend. Meanwhile, the US presidential election will be held early next month. I'm keeping my eye on the Nasdaq which is the US stock index. At the moment, it's a close race between candidate Harry and former President Trump, so I can't take my eyes off the direction of global affairs and US stock prices.

　But before that, we must first end the wars in the Middle East and Ukraine, which have claimed the lives of many civilians, including innocent children. Which candidate will be able to end the wars?
