今日は「立春」です。しかし、寒気がやって来ます。

　今日は「立春」です。昨日、私は地球の動きを中心に書きましたが、地球から見る今日の太陽は「春分点」から東へ３１５°【１５°×２１】の位置にあります。

　ところで、春分点とは何処にあるでしょうか。

　その場所は、ギリシャ時代にチグリス川とユーフラテス川の形に例えられた「うお座」、及び両河川に挟まれた肥沃な農業地帯に例えられた「秋の四辺形」のすぐ南【図の赤印】にあり、黄道【太陽が通過する道】が天の赤道と交差する所です。「うお座」は「黄道十二星座」の一つで、夏から秋にかけ日本上空を通過するので、春分点の位置を確認できます。もちろん何の目印もありません。今年は３月２０日に太陽は図の位置に、右下から左上に移動して行きます。

　しかし、本日の「立春」では太陽の位置は天の赤道より遥か南にあるので、未だ未だ寒い日が続いても、日照時間は日に日に長くなります。今日の日の出は６時４４分、日の入りは１７時１２分【群馬県】で昼の長さは１０時間２８分です。これからは三寒四温が起こりつつ、寒い日は寒の戻りといわれます。

　それでも、今日から早春であり、寒い中にあっても水仙など植物が地上から芽を出し、ほんの少し春が感じられるでしょう。私たちも、自然の変化を観察しつつ、長くなりつつある昼の時間を有効に使い、身体に強さと柔軟性を求め、自らの目標に向かって邁進しましょう。

　It is located in the constellation Pisces, which in Greek times was likened to the shape of the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, and south of the Autumn Quadrilateral, which was likened to the fertile agricultural area between the two rivers [red mark in the illustration], where the ecliptic [the path the sun passes through] intersects with the celestial equator. As you know, Pisces is one of the 12 zodiacal constellations, and it passes over Japan from summer to autumn, so you can confirm the location of the vernal equinox. Of course, there is no landmark. This year 2025, on March 20th, the sun will move from the bottom right to the top left to the position shown in the illustration.

　However, today is "start of spring," in Japan, the sun is still located far south of the celestial equator, so even though it is still cold, but, the hours of daylight are getting longer each day. Today's sunrise is at 6:44 and sunset is at 17:12 [Gumma Prefecture], with the length of daylight being 10 hours and 28 minutes. From now on, there will be three cold days and four warm days, and it is said that cold days will bring back some times. The coldest weather is forecast to arrive starting tomorrow.

　Even so, it is early spring from today, and even in the cold, plants such as daffodils will sprout from the ground, giving you a little taste of spring. Let us also observe the changes in nature and make good use of the longer days, seeking strength and flexibility in our bodies, and work hard towards our own purpose.
