早春です。変化です。新たな邂逅です。

　今日は旧暦【太陰太陽暦】で１月１５日ですから、夕方には東の空に満月が出ます。一方、最近は誠に寒冷でしたが、今週は次第に寒さが和らぎ、週末には最高気温が１３°～１４°と上がり春らしくなると予報されてます。

　写真は冬の代表格の南天と春を知らせる水仙の芽が地上に顔を出し、これらが同時に庭を賑わせ、早春を感じさせてます。南天はやがて野鳥に食べられ姿を消し、代わって水仙がすくすく伸び、あたかも顔のような花を咲かせ、しかも、不思議なことに太陽の方角に向き、表情がにこやかです。

　ところで、今日の日の出は６時３５分、太陽高度は４０°、日没は１７時２１分【群馬県】です。昼の長さは１０時間４６分です。近くの上四公園でのラジオ体操は１２月～２月いっぱい休みですが、３月１日から再開するので多くの皆さんとまたお会いでき楽しみです。

　人間とは自らの行動に幅を持たせると、人との出会いが違ってきます。このため、年令を重ねても、いろいろに興味関心を持ち続け、新たな邂逅を望みます。

　Today is January 15th in the lunar calendar, so in the evening the full moon will appear in the eastern sky. Meanwhile, it has been very cold recently in the Japanese archipelago, but it is forecasted that the cold will gradually ease this week, and the maximum temperature will rise to 13°-14° Celsius by the weekend, making it feel more spring-like.

　In the photo, the red buds of nandina, a representative plant of winter, and daffodils which herald the arrival of spring, are emerging from the ground, livening up the garden at the same time and giving a feeling of early spring. The nandina is eventually eaten by wild birds and disappears in the near future. In its place the daffodils grow rapidly and bloom into flowers that look like human's faces. What's more, they are strangely facing the direction of the sun, with a smiling expression.

　By the way, today's sunrise is at 6:35, the solar altitude is 40°, and the sun will be set at 17:21 [Gumma Prefecture]. The length of day is 10 hours and 46 minutes. Radio gymnastics by NHK at nearby Kami-4th Park in Kuragano-town was on hiatus from December through February, but it will resume on March 1st, so I look forward to seeing many participants there again.

As you know, when we broaden our range of actions, we humans encounter people differently. For this reason, even as we get older, we should continue to have interests in wide range and hope for new encounters.
