今朝、庭を見てびっくりポン

　今日３月１４日はホワイトデーですから、２月14日のバレンタインデーにチョコレートを戴いた私を含め、男性はそのお返しとしてホワイトチョコレートなどのプレゼントを女性へ贈る日とされます。 ホワイトデーの習慣は日本で生まれたといわれ、近年では「友チョコ」や「自分チョコ」、「義理チョコ」など多様化しているようです。今叫ばれてる「inclusive」がこんなことにも表れてます。それにしても、世の中から「exclusive」をなくしましょう。

　ホワイトデーと言えば、今朝、庭を見てびっくりです。ご覧の通り、庭は一面、雪が降ったように白かったり、一方では一面、ピンクではありませんか。実は、昨日の風で白梅と紅梅の花弁がかなり落ちました。花の命は短くとも、このような現象を作り、この光景を見る私を楽しませてくれてます。しかし、遅く膨らんだ蕾の花は未だかなり咲いてますから、丸いテーブルはＦＢ友人の皆様が訪れ、お茶を飲みつつの歓談を待ってます。

　ところで、今日３月１４日は円周率πの日でもあります。私は二十四節気など暦の話題を書くとき、地球の公転軌道の距離を約９億４千万㎞と記しますが、これは１天文単位【太陽と地球の間の平均距離】×２×３．１４１５９２６で計算したものです。私たちが地球上で生きてることは円周率に即してます。不思議なことに物理学者で相対性理論を発表したアインシュタインは円周率の日である今日３月１４日が誕生日と言われます。

　Today, March 14th, is White Day, so that it is the day when men, including me, who received chocolate on Valentine's Day on February 14th, give gift such as white chocolate to lady in return. In fact, the wind yesterday caused many of the white and red plum petals to fall off. Although the life of the flowers is short, they create this phenomenon and entertain me as I watch this scene. When I write about Japanese calendar topics such as the 24 solar terms, I record the distance of the Earth's orbit as approximately 940 million km, which is calculated as 1 astronomical unit [the average distance between the Sun and the Earth] x 2 x 3.1415926. The fact that we live on Earth is in accordance with Pi. Strangely enough, the birthday of physicist Einstein, who published the theory of relativity, is said to be today, March 14th, which is Pi Day. May I have a large container of coffee?
