「思いのまま」の梅が満開になる

　先日の降雪にも負けず、満開になったこの梅の品種名は「思いのまま」です。その名の通り、一本の木で紅白二色で咲く珍しい花梅です。色彩のバランスが取れ不思議です。私たちの生活も「思いのまま」になれたらどんなに楽しいことでしょう。この梅も幼木のとき埼玉県花園町の花木センターから当時の愛車「いすゞ１１７クーペ」のトランクに根を入れ、倉賀野まで運び、今では３メートルの高さに成長しました。お近くの方はぜひ見にいらして下さい。

　一方、私の人生は「思いのまま」とは、かけ離れ、ほとんど会話のない、つまり人間らしくない日々を送ってます。この世で楽しいことは「泉の如く絶えることのない会話」と考える私は、毎日行くスーパーのレジの女性と一言二言を必ず話すようにしたり、お気に入り喫茶「さんぽ道」でママさんと話すくらいですが、ママはママでも思いのママではありません。

　このため、一日中、家に一人でいる生活に変化をつけようと可能な限り外出を心掛けてます。今朝も家を６時１５分に出て、公園でのラジオ体操会に参加し、仲間との何気ない会話を試みつつ楽しく過ごせました。年度末のため、もうすぐ、上４地区の総会が開かれ、私は会計監査を仰せつかっているので、明日は、集会所「ふるさと」で事前の仕事があります。日々、活動の場を広げ、新たな出会いも楽しみに本当の春を希望してます。

How much more fun it would be if my life could be "as I wish". This plum tree was transported when she was young from Hanazono-town, Saitama Prefecture, to my Kuragano-town with her root in the trunk of my beloved car at the time, Isuzu 117 Coupe, and has now grown to a height of three meters. 　On the other hand, my life is far from "as I wish". I spend my days with almost no conversation, it is not like a human being. I believe that the most enjoyable thing in this world is "conversation that never ends, like a spring in the mountain". I make sure to say a few words to the lady cashier at the supermarket I go to every day, or I talk to the owner of my favorite cafe, "Sampo-michi", but even though she is a proprietress, she is an impossible lady as I wish.

　For this reason, I try to go out as much as possible to change up my life of being alone at home all day. This morning, I left home at 6:15 to participate in a radio gymnastics session in the Kami-4th park, and had a good time while trying to have casual conversations with my friends. Since it is the end of the fiscal year, the general meeting of our Kami-4th district will be held soon, and I have been asked to audit the accounts, so I have some preliminary work to do tomorrow at the meeting place "Furusato". I am looking forward to expanding my activities every day, making new encounter especially with a lady, and hoping for a real spring as life.
