雪の重みで、再度、サルスベリの枝が裂ける

　先程、ホースで水をかけ、梅の枝から雪を落としてやりましたら、ご覧の通り、「枝垂れ紅梅」の花が蘇りました。

　一方、残念なことに、南国を原産地とする「サルスベリ」は昨年と同じ枝が再度、雪の重みで裂けてしました。近いうちにまた園芸用の紐で結んでやります。サルスベリの新芽が出るのは遅く6月です。写真右下は「源平枝垂れ桃」です。

Dear my friends

　I just sprayed the plum trees with water by the hose to fall the snow from their branches, so that as you can see, the weeping plum blossoms have revived.

　On the other hand, unfortunately, the same branches of the crape myrtle which is native to tropical countries, have split again due to the weight of the snow as they did last year. I will tie them up again with gardening string soon. New buds on crape myrtle appear late, in June. The Genpei weeping peach tree is pictured at the bottom right.
