日本の良さをしみじみ感じ、高齢期を生きる

　石油が発掘できないことから、私たちは「日本は資源のない国」と考えがちです。私はブログに毎回、写真を載せてますが、今までの写真を見返してみると、意識して撮ったわけではないのに殆どの写真に樹木が映ってます。

　これは日本には豊かな水があるからでしょう。冬に太陽があまり出ない北欧の国からみると日本は太陽光が降り注ぎ、光合成が盛んに行われて樹木がたくさん生育します。砂漠の国からみると日本は植物が育つ土が豊富であり、羨ましいかもしれません。内陸国から見れば、日本は周囲が海のため漁業が盛んな大資源国と思うでしょう。

　殊のほか、お刺身が好きな私は、少量の醤油で食すると日本に生まれて本当に良かったとつくづく感じてます。2週間に一度程度高崎の街に夕食に出ますが、必ずお刺身を注文します。拙い体験ではインドや内モンゴルでは刺身を食べる習慣はなく、最高の調味料である日本の醤油がありません。日本では水がすぐ飲めますが、暑いインドで直接水を飲むと下痢します。このため必ずボイルしてからです。

　緑いっぱいの自然に囲まれてる日本に資源がないどころか、日本は世界有数の資源国です。それをどう生かすか、「独創的な発想こそ日本人の腕の見せどころ」です。資源もさることながら、私は半年前に「笑いヨガ」を通じで素晴らしい方と巡り合い、心身ともに健康を求めていると良いことがあるものです。一人で生活してても「人間の喜び」を追い求めます。

　Because Japan cannot produce petroleum, we tend to think of Japan as a resource-poor country. I always post many photos on Facebook, but, when I look back at my photos, I see trees in most of them, even though I didn't intentionally take them.

　This is probably because Japan has an abundance of water. From the perspective of Northern European countries, where the sun doesn't shine much in the winter, Japan is bathed in sunlight, allowing photosynthesis to flourish and resulting in the growth of many trees. From the perspective of desert countries, Japan may be envied for its abundant soil, where plants can grow. From the perspective of landlocked countries, Japan is surrounded by sea, so that they may think it is a resource-rich country with a thriving fishing industry.

　I particularly love sashimi which is sliced raw fish, when I eat it with a little soy sauce, I feel truly grateful to have been born in Japan. I go to downtown of Takasaki for dinner about once every two weeks, at that time, I always order sashimi. In my limited experience, eating sashimi is not a custom in India or Inner Mongolia, and Japanese soy sauce couldn't find, the ultimate seasoning is not available there. In Japan, water is readily available for drinking, but in hot India, drinking water straight gives us diarrhea. For this reason, I always boiled it first.

　Far from lacking natural resources, Japan is actually one of the world's leading resource-rich countries. How to make these resources is the Japanese people's creative thinking shines. Aside from resources, I met a wonderful lady through laughter yoga last December, and I've learned that good things happen when we pursue physical and mental health. Even if I live alone, I should still pursue human's real joy.
