盗難防止装置が働く

　昨日は慌てました。普段、当たり前に動作を行う便利な「車やパソコン」は、何らかの理由でこちらの意志通りに動かないときがあるものです。昨日の朝、所用で次女の家に行こうとしたら、どうしたことでしょう。車のドア―が開きません。車のドアーは鍵についてるボタンを押すことで開きますが、昨日は開きません。仕方なく、鍵を初めて分解し、中にある手動の鍵で試したらドアが開きました。しかし、その後、エンジンのボタンを押しても「エンジンがかかりません。」さあ、困りました。

　原因は、鍵の中に内蔵されてる電池が切れていたのです。しかも、エンジンまでかからないとはどうした事かと思いましたが、実は、「盗難防止装置が働いていたのです。」もし、無理してドアが開けられても車は動かないように設計されてるのです。結局、鍵の中の電池を交換したら、すぐにエンジンがかかり、ホッとしました。ですから、エンジンがかからなかったのは故障したり、バッテリーに寿命が来たのではありません。盗難防止装置が働いていたのです。ドアが開かず、エンジンがかからず、暫く困りましたが、理由が分かり、良い体験ができました。

　ところで、運転で私が最も気をつけてるとは「車間距離の厳守」です。時間に余裕がないと、どうしても前の車に接近しがちです。ご存じの通り、前の車の大きさは、そこまでの距離の二乗に反比例します。例えば、５m先にあった車が１０m先に離れれば、前の車の大きさは２分のⅠになるのではなく、４分の１に小さくなり、運転席からの景色が十分に広がります。３倍遠くになれば、前の車の大きさは９分の１になり、前方が見やすく、運転に余裕が出ます。車間距離を十分に取っても、目的地に到着する時間は変わりません。

　Yesterday was a bit of a panic. Even convenient machines such as car and computer which we take for granted, sometimes don't work for some reason. Yesterday morning, I tried to head to my second daughter's house for some business, but what the matter happened? The car door didn't open. Car door usually opens by pressing a button on the lock, but yesterday it wouldn't open. I had no choice but to disassemble the lock for the first time and used the manual key inside, so I could open the door. However, even after pressing the engine button, the engine wouldn't start. I was in trouble.

　The problem was that the battery inside the lock had died. I wondered why the engine wouldn't start either, but it turns out the anti-theft device had been activated. The car is designed to prevent the car from starting even if the door is forced open. In the end, I replaced the battery in the lock, therefore the engine started immediately, much to my relief. So the reason the engine wouldn't start wasn't because of a malfunction or the battery had worn out. It was the anti-theft device. The door wouldn't open and the engine wouldn't start, which was a bit of a problem for a while, but I figured out the reason and it was a good experience for me.

　Not change the subject, but the way I pay the most attention to when driving is "strictly maintaining a safe distance between cars." When we're short on time, we tend to get too close to the car in front of us. As you know, the size of the car in front is inversely proportional to the square of the distance to it. For example, if a car that was 5m away moves 10m away, the size of the car in front will not be half, but one-quarter of its size, so that we will have a much wider view from the driver's seat. If it is three times farther away, the car in front will be one-ninth the size, making it easier to see ahead and giving us margin to drive. Even if we keep a safe distance between cars, the time it takes to arrive at our destination will not change.

初乗りは日帰り温泉へ

　Audi TT Quattroの今年の初乗りは、吉井牛伏ドリームセンターへ片道２５分ほどの距離でした。往復の道路はすべて見通しの良い広い道を選択です。路面が良いと、２４５－３５－１９のタイヤはカーブで更に安定感が増し、振動も少ないです。この日は珍しく施設をバックに記念撮影。

　今年も安全運転を基本に、時々は多少の遠出を行い、エンジンの調子維持、及び私の運転技術の維持にも努め、生活の行動範囲が狭まらないよう配慮します。近くへの用事や日々のスーパーへの買い出しにはホンダ・アクティーバンを使います。ＴＴは車体の側面が膨らんでるので駐車場所は遠くでも必ず安全な場所を選びます

　気をつけてる運転法は、現役時代とは異なり、通勤・通学時間帯は運転せず、道が空いてる時間で狭い道は通過せず、広い道を走り、信号機のある交差点を通過します。特に注意を要する所は信号機のない横断歩道です。歩行者がいる時は必ず停止します。中でも「対向車が渋滞してる所にある横断歩道」は互いに見え難く、人の飛び出しが起こり得ます。

　この車は近年、生産中止となり、その直前に購入したので最後のＴＴです。助手席に人を乗せることは殆どないです。乗る人がいないからです。次第に日が伸びるので、これからは群馬県内外の名所旧跡や温泉巡りです。

　My first ride of the Audi TT Quattro this year was yesterday, a 25-minute one-way trip to the Yoshii Ushibuse Dream Center for bathing. I chose wide roads with good visibility for both going and returning. On good road surfaces, the 245-35-19 tires feel even more stable on curves with minimal vibration. On this day, I rarely took a commemorative photo with the facility in the background.

　This year, I'll continue to focus on safe driving, occasionally taking longer trips to maintain engine condition and my driving skills, for the sake of not to limit my range of activities. I use the Honda Acty Van for local errands and daily going to supermarket. Because the TT has bulging sides, I always choose a safe parking spot, even if it's far away.

　Unlike when I was an active era, I avoid driving during rush hour and narrow roads. I drive on wide roads and pass intersections with traffic lights. I'm especially careful at zebra crossing without traffic light. I always stop for pedestrians. In particular, zebra crossing where oncoming vehicles are congested make it difficult to see each other, and people especially children may run out into the zebra crossing.

　This Audi TT Quattro was discontinued in recent years, and I purchased it just before that, so this is a last TT. I rarely have anyone in the passenger seat, because there's no lady to ride with. As the days get longer, I'd like to visit famous historical sites and hot springs in and around Gumma Prefecture.

午後に心のリラックスを求めました。

　「カッキー、また行ったの？」と思われそうですが、ここは居心地がよく、生活に変化が欲しいので、つい行ってしまいました。美味しいカフェラテを注文し、今日は曽野綾子著の本を読み、１時間ほど過ごしました。ここ「さんぽ道」は夕方のため客は私一人だったです。１０分程ピアノを弾かせて戴きました。曲は「千の風になって」「東北震災復興曲」「ソナチネ」、私のテーマ曲「ノクターン１番」です。

　ところで、愛車は「誠に運転しやすい」と今日は改めて感じました。私の身体が運転席にぴったりフィットし、周囲がよく見渡せ、私自身、落ち着いて思い通りに動くからです。

　というのは、もう一台の軽のバンが車検のため、今日の午前中、自動車工場から代車で家まで帰って来たのです。しかし、慣れてないことで何となく怖く、やっと家に着きました。その後、午後に青い車で「さんぽ道」まで乗ったところ「これだ」と、自分を取り戻した感覚になりました。強いて欠点を言えば、助手席に乗る人がいないことぐらいです。

人間も愛車も常に調子を整える

　最近、愛車に乗るチャンスがありませんでした。というのは、いつもよく行く喫茶「さんぽ道」が１０日間ほどお盆休みでした。また、お気に入り日帰り温泉「吉井牛伏ドリームセンター」が臨時休業となり、８月いっぱい行けません。

　しかし、愛車を常に調子よく維持しなくてはならず、午後には国道旧１７号から倉賀野バイパスを一周してきます。途中、もしかして、今日から喫茶「さんぽ道」が開いていたらアイスコーヒーを飲みつつ、涼んできます。

　写真は満開のサルスベリとツーショットのＴＴです。大きなサルスベリを観賞したい方は、未だしばらく咲いてるので見にいらして下さい。

Dear my friends who like flowers of crape myrtle.

　I haven't had a chance to drive my beloved car recently. That's because my usual go-to cafe, Sampo-michi, was closed for about 10 days due to the Obon holidays. Also, my favorite day-trip hot spring, Yoshii Ushibuse Dream Center, is temporarily closed, so I won't be able to go for the rest of August.

　However, I have to keep my car in good condition, so in the afternoon today I'll drive around the Kuragano-Bypass from old National Route 17. If Cafe Sampo-michi is open on the way, I'll cool off with an iced coffee about one hour.

　　The photo shows TT and a crape myrtle in full bloom. If you'd like to see the large crape myrtle, she'll still be in bloom for a while, so please come and see her and chat with listening to piano played by me.

  P.S・・・ As planned, I passed through the Kuragano-Bypass by my Audi-TT and stopped off at the cafe "Sampo-michi" for the first time in 10 days to cool off for about an hour. To my surprise, the mama and ladies they looked very cheerful, as they had been abroad together during the Obon holidays. I realized that sometimes, big change is very important in human's lives, as they work hard every day.

愛車は誕生日に車検予定

　今日で６月も終わります。ところで、フェイスブックの調子が悪く、書き込みができない状況です。どうしたことでしょう。昔の Hirowaka Kakinuma に戻ってしまいました。こちらで発信します。

　一方、どうしたことでしょう。ブログも昨晩から発信できない状態が続きましたが、やっと元に戻り発信できるようになりました。

　今度の誕生日に Audi TT Quattroは車検です。今回はタイヤ交換をします。タイヤサイズは255-35-19です。これからも安定走行をめざします。新しいタイヤになったら、先ず、谷川岳へ行きます。赤城大沼へも行きます。

二週間ぶりに乗った愛車ＴＴ Quattro

　今日の午後、2週間ぶりに愛車を運転できました。片目が塞がってしまい、一時は売却しなければならないと考えていたほどですから、運転が出来て涙が出るほど嬉しく感じ、未来が開けた気持ちになってます。行先は家から２Kほどの、やはり、お気に入り喫茶「さんぽ道」です。

　ママさんも暫くぶりに私を見て、ずっと私と話していてくれました。失望してた私は、もし、青いクーペを運転出来るようになったら、先ずどこへ行こうか考えましたが、やはり「さんぽ道」でした。暫くぶりのアイスコーヒーの美味しさは不変です。

　ここは、るんちゃんと出会った場所であり、周囲は稀に見る広大な田園風景で、自然が好きな私には、とても落ち着く空間です。視力はまだ完全ではありませんが、愛車の運転については無理をせず、徐々に慣れたいです。果たして、未来は大好きな群馬の自然を満喫できるドライブができるでしょうか。

Dear my FB friends who are crazy about the taste of iced coffee and great music.

　This afternoon, I was able to drive my beloved car ＴＴ for the first time in two weeks. One of my eyes was blocked, so that I thought I would have to sell it, so I was so happy beyond description to be able to drive that I cried tears of joy, and I feel that my future has opened up. The destination was my favorite coffee shop, "Sampo-michi," about 2km from my residence.

　The owner hadn't seen me in a while, therefore she kept talking to me. I was disappointed during two weeks, so I thought where I would go first if I could drive the blue coupe again, and it was "Sampo-michi." The iced coffee I hadn't had in a while was still as delicious as ever.

　This coffee shop is where I met Run-chan, and the surrounding area is a rare, vast rural landscape, and for me who loves nature, it is a very relaxing space. My eyesight is still not perfect, but I want to gradually get used to driving my beloved car without pushing myself too hard. Will I be able to drive and enjoy the nature of Gumma to the fullest in the future?

果たして、運命は如何に！

　このまま目が回復しなければ、ナンバー【二人で乗ろうを意味する】2222号は未だ走行距離２万キロですが、売らなくてはなりません。果たして運命は如何に！

　左目が回復して、大好きな群馬の自然を再度、満喫できるでしょうか。今は医師の指導に従って治療を続けてます。昨日はフェイスブック友人Aさんが訪ねてくださいました。お菓子が美味しかったです。

　運良く目が回復したら、今、体験してるこの不都合をバネにして、今後は近隣で生活に不自由されてる高齢者の支援を今まで以上にやりたくなりました。

　If my eye doesn't recover, I will have to sell my blue car, number 2222 (meaning "ride with you"), though it still has 20,000 km in milage. What will its fate be?

　If my left eye recovers, will I be able to enjoy my beloved Gumma nature once again? I am currently continuing treatment under the doctor's guidance. Yesterday, my Facebook friend Ms. A visited me. The sweets were delicious beyond description.

　If, chance comes, my eye does recover, I would like to use this current inconvenience as a springboard to help elderly people more than before who are struggling in my neighborhood.

春の夕暮れを１時間ほどウォーキング

　暫くぶりに日帰り温泉「牛伏ドリームセンター」へ片道３０分ドライブし汗を流してきました。この施設は高崎市営のため、市民で６０才以上であれば入浴料金は２００円と格安です。館内に入ると「牛伏山を背景にしたこの施設」の大きな絵が飾ってあります。愛車Audi TT Quattroは、山岳地帯を気持ち良さそうにスイスイ走り、今日は鹿に遭遇しませんでした。

　ところで、最近、愛車Audi TT Quattroに乗ることが少ないです。喫茶「さんぽ道」へ行くくらいです。この背景にはハイオクタンガソリンを使うので価格が高騰してるからです。それでも、関税に頑なだったトランプ大統領に近頃、少々の譲歩が見られ、それに反応し、ここ数日、米国株価ナスダックが上昇し、私はほんの少しホッとしてます。

　ところで、身体のエンジンの好調を期して、今日も夕刻５時頃から生まれ故郷・倉賀野町をウォーキングします。ストライドを広めに、姿勢よく、鼻呼吸で歩きます。果たして、春の夕暮れに今日も素敵な人とバッタリ会うでしょうか。

Dear my friends around the world 

　I drove a 30-minute to the day spa "Ushibuse Dream Center" after a long interval to wash off the sweat. This facility is run by the city of Takasaki, so if we are a resident and over 60 years old, the bathing fee is a bargain at 200 yen. Inside the building, there is a large painting of "this facility with Mt. Ushibuse in the background painted by Mr. Yahei Saito ." My beloved Audi TT Quattro was gliding through the mountainous area with a pleasant feeling, and I didn't encounter any deer today.

　Not change the subject, but I haven't been driving my beloved Audi TT Quattro much lately. I only go to the cafe "Sampo-michi." The reason is to use high-octane gasoline, which has caused the price to rise. Nevertheless, as you know, President Trump who was adamant about tariffs, has recently made some concessions, so that as the result, in response to this situation, the US stock market Nasdaq has risen over the past few days, which makes me feel a little relieved.

　By the way, hoping that my body's engine will be in good condition, I will walk around my hometown, Kuragano-Town, from around 5pm from now on. Walk with a wide stride, good posture, and breathe through the nose. Will I bump into a wonderful lady in this spring evening?

旧・桃の節句に合わせて咲く源平枝垂れ桃

　
　梅の花はすでに散り、昨日の大風でハクモクレンの花も半分以上が落ちました。ここでいよいよ私の番であると登場してきたのが、写真上の品種名・東洋錦(紅白２色咲き)の木瓜(ボケ)です。写真では花が赤いですが、他の枝には白も咲いてます。未だ２分咲きですから、よく咲いたらすべてをアップします。

　一方、写真下は４ヶ日後に迫った「旧・桃の節句」にちゃんと合わせて咲く花桃が今朝から咲き出しました。実は、これは庭に種が零れて生えたもので、親は未だ咲いてないのに子供が先に咲き出しました。この桃の品種名は「源平枝垂れ」です。10日ほど前に昨年の開花をこのページに載せたことがあります。

　昨年の開花後、庭に入るとすぐ見える場所に植え替えました。親は紅白の二色なのに、子供は１本の木に赤・白・絞りの３色咲きです。いまのところ、未だ１分咲きです。今年はいっそう見応えがあると思いますので、お近くの方は、ぜひ、いらして直接ご覧ください。実は私が一番力を入れてるのは花桃なのです。

　今日は風もなく、大安なので愛車で群馬の花の名所を巡って来ます。助手席には大切なフェイスブック友人の方が載ってるつもりで丁寧な運転を心掛けます。また、最近の黄砂に負けず、車の塗装面はシャンプー後できれいです。

　The plum blossoms have already fallen, and yesterday's strong winds have caused more than half of the white magnolia flowers to fall. In fact, this peach tree grew from a seed that was spilled in the garden. This baby tree started to bloom before the parent tree had yet to bloom. The name of this peach variety is "Genpeishidare". I posted a photo of last year's blooming on this page about 10 days ago.

　After last year's blooming, I replanted her in a place where she can be seen immediately when you enter the garden in the near future. The parent tree is red and white, but the baby tree is red, white, and striped, blooming in three colors on one tree. For now, they are only 10% in bloom. 今日はタイヤをローテーションします。

　写真は、倉賀野バイパスを通行中の私を、偶然にも信号待ちしてた長女が撮影してくれたもので、運転に集中(？)してた私は全く気づきませんでした。これからも前方をよく見て運転し、信号待ちでも、スマホには手を触れません。特に、広い道でも歩道のない道路は危険この上なく、歩行者や自転車に細心の注意を払い、先ず、速度を落とします。野球で有名な健大高崎付近は両端に歩道がない道が続き、危険極まりないです。

　ところで、以前に「タイヤは命を乗せている」という標語を目にしました。これは今後もその通りで、運転する前に必ずタイヤをチェックします。この車ＴＴは扁平率が３５％のため、路面をしっかり捉え、更にタイヤは室内より外側にあるので安定走行します。しかし、扁平率が低いことから空気が減っていても見た目に気づき難いので細心の注意を払ってます。ドイツで生まれても購入時からブリジストンタイヤを履いてます。

　今日はアウディーのディーラーでタイヤをローテンションします。タイヤを取り外し、それぞれ斜めの位置に履き替えます。つまり、印で入れ替えます。この方法はタイヤの走る方向が今までと逆になるからです。走行距離１万８千Kでタイヤの溝は減ってません。一方、この車の特徴は運転席がゆったりし、ナビはハンドルの奥のディスプレイ内にあり、首を動かす必要がありません。音声に慣れるため英語版にセットしてあります。私自身で行う整備は井戸水で洗車し、その後、タイヤ点検を兼ねタイヤワックスをかけ、足元をきれいにします。哀れにも助手席に乗る人はいません。

The area around school named Kendai-Takasaki, which is famous for baseball, has long road without sidewalks on either side, which is extremely dangerous.

　Not change the subject, but I once saw a slogan that said, "The life is on the tires." This will continue to be true, so I always check my tires before driving. This car, Audi TT, has the aspect ratio of 35%, so it grips the road surface firmly, and since the tires are on the outside rather than the inside of the car, it drives stably. However, because the aspect ratio is low, it is difficult for me to notice even if the air is low, so I pay close attention every time. Although this car was born in Germany, it has been equipped with famous Bridgestone tires since I bought it.

　Today, I will rotate the tires at the Audi dealership. Remove the tires and replace them at an angle. In other words, replace them with the direction. This method is because the direction of the tires is reversed than before. The mileage is 18,000 km, and the tire tread is not worn down. On the other hand, the feature of this car is that the driver's seat is spacious, and the navigation is in the display behind the steering wheel, so I needn't move my neck. Navigation is set to English version to get used to the voice. The maintenance I do myself is to wash the car with well water, then inspect the tires, wax them to clean. Sadly, still now, there is no lady in the passenger seat.
