意外です 一人暮らしで 困ること

　この写真も今春の「桃の節句」に撮影したもので、右の源平枝垂桃は見事な開花で、恰も「もっと人生に花を咲かせなさい。」と私を諭しているように見えます。

　一方、同じ花桃でも左はピンクですが、毎年、咲き方が今一歩で華やかさに欠けます。このため先日、思い切って決断し、根元から切ってしまいました。切った後の始末が大仕事で、枝を細かく切り、物凄い量の枝です。

　その後、右の源平枝垂れの子供でメンデルの分離の法則により、濃い赤だけ咲く幼木が生え、すでに１mほどの高さになったので、その桃の木を同じ場所に植えました。

　こんな作業をしていたら、右の背中の筋肉を傷め、シップを貼ろうとして、いくら工夫しても背中に手が届きません。このため、近くの内科に行って女性看護師さんに貼ってもらいました。一人暮らしはこんなことでも不便です。貼り賃はただでした。

　このように旧暦(太陰太陽暦)は人々の年中行事と暦が一致してます。中秋の名月がお盆に近いので必ず仏滅であったり、７月7日の七夕は二人の出会いを意味し、先勝です。　

　お近くの方は「源平枝垂れ」を見にいらしてください。お茶をお入れします。外国出身の方もお待ちしております。

　大きな源平枝垂れの子供のうち、未だ背が低い二つの子供の花が咲き始めました。ご覧の通り、メンデルの法則のように左は赤一色で、右は絞りとして分離しました。

　写真の植物は大きな「源平枝垂れ桃」の種が零れて生えたもので、未だ高さは５０cmほどの幼木です。幹が曲がっているのは生えて１年経過した頃、私が紐で縛って形作りました。もう、このままの樹形で年々大きくなるでしょう。

　源平枝垂れとはその名が示す通り、１本の樹であっても花の色が紅白に咲き分けます。しかも、八重咲ですから、数年後に大きくなれば樹形と色彩の両方が鑑賞でき、私たち人間を楽しませてくれるでしょう。早速、来春の４月には咲きますので、お近くの方は見にいらしてください。

　写真はイギリス・レース鳩月刊誌「ビクトリアル」の表紙に出た「羽衣しだれ桃」の子供で、今ではかなり成長しました。

　これとは別に今春は「源平しだれ桃」に驚くほど多くの子供が生えてます。その数３０本以上です。この花桃は稀少価値があり、紅白に咲き分けたり、時に絞りも含まれます。

　半年後くらいに幹を徐々に曲げ紐で固定し、形を整えます。

 The picture shows a child born from a seedling of "Hagoromo Weeping Peach" which has appeared on the front page of monthly racing pigeon magazine "Pictorial" in UK. This peach has grown considerably now.

 Apart from this peach, a surprising number of saplings of "Genpei weeping peach" are growing this spring. The number is more than 30. This flower peach has a rare value because it blooms bicolored as red and white including often dapple petals.

 About half a year later, I will bend the trunk gradually and fix with strings and the shape is adjusted.

現在、Ｓ字型に縛ってある「源平しだれ」の幼木

　庭には「源平しだれ桃」がすでに５本ほどありますが、種がこぼれ、子供がたくさん生えてます。その中の健康そうな幼木を選び、最近、ご覧のようにＳ字型に紐で縛りました。来春もっと大きくなったたら、その後は先端を逆に曲げて成長を待ちます。

　これは種がこぼれて生えた「源平しだれ桃」の幼木です。２年前に幹をＳ字型に曲げて紐で縛っておいたら、ご覧の通り、鑑賞に値する樹形になってきました。これから数年すると高さ２ｍほどになり、枝がしだれ、花が紅白に咲き分けると期待しています。

　三つ子の魂百までで、人間同様、樹木も幼い時の教育が生涯を支配します。庭にはこのような幼木が数本あり、未来は「しだれ桃の里」になりそうです。しかし、肝心な人間には花が咲きません。

　築山の頂上に立つ幹が蛇のような「源平しだれ桃」です。ご覧の通り、葉はすべて落葉し、一見みすぼらしくても、枝には蕾が膨らんでます。

　源平といわれる所以は１本の木であるのに紅白に咲き分けるからです。もし紅が多ければその年は源氏の勝ち、白が多ければ平家の勝ちになります。ですから咲いてみないとその年の勝敗が分かりません。

　現在は築山の頂上に池を作り、水を与えてます。開花時期は旧暦の３月３日「桃の節句」です。

　ところで、今日の日の出は４時３３分、日の入は１８時４９分（群馬県高崎市）です。日照時間が長くなったので植物の成長が盛んです。私たち人間も、生物なので戸外で思いっきり活動し、健康をめざしたいです。
