旧灌仏は毎年必ず大安、そして今日は「立夏」

　写真は、実った梅の重さで枝が垂れ下がった白梅です。収穫は今月末頃です。今後、ますます低く垂れ下がり、枝が折れそうになります。どうやら今年も豊作で梅酒が楽しみです。

　ところで、今日は「子供の日」です。しかし、その前に旧・灌仏ですから、釈迦の誕生日【旧暦4月8日】です。旧灌仏は毎年必ず大安だす。釈迦はネパールで生まれインドのブダガヤで悟りを開いたと伝えられてます。ここブダガヤには大河ガンジス川が流れ、インドの人たちが沐浴することでも有名です。私は若き日に訪れたことがあり、その光景は未だ脳裏に残ってます。

　一方、今日は二十四節気の一つ「立夏」です。私たちを載せ、一周９億４千万㎞ほどの公転軌道を北極星側から見て反時計回りに進んでいる地球は、今日の「立夏」では、一体、公転軌道上のどの辺に達しているでしょうか。この答えは午前０時に真南を見れば分かります。

　その前に、公転してる地球から見る太陽の背景は【牡羊座】です。もちろん眩しくて見えません。一方、現在の地球はその１８０°反対側に浮かんでるので、「立夏」の今日、私たちの地球は黄道十二星座の「天秤座」の方向に来ています。

　The photo shows white plum tree with branches drooping due to the weight of the ripe plums. They will be harvested around the end of this month, I guess. 　By the way, today is Children's Day in Japan. However, before that is Buddha's birthday [April 8th on the lunar calendar]. In the lunar calendar, the birth of Buddha is always Taian a lucky day every year. It is said that Buddha was born in Nepal and attained enlightenment in Buddh Gaya, India. Buddh Gaya is situated near the great Ganges River, and is also famous for Indians bathing there. I visited there in my 20's, and the scene is still fresh in my mind.

　On the other hand, today is "Rikka" that means the beginning of summer in Japan, which is one of the 24 solar terms. The Earth, which carries us on its orbit of about 940 million km, proceeds counterclockwise when viewed from the North Star side. Where on earth, will it reach on its orbit today at the beginning of summer? The answer can be found by looking due south at midnight.

今日は二十四節気の「清明」です。私たちを載せ宇宙空間に浮いてる地球は、現在、公転軌道上のどの辺を進んでいるでしょうか。その図を書いてみました。なお、地球の公転軌道はご存じの通り、やや楕円形であり、この図は北極星側から見た場合です。

　地球から見る今日の太陽はインドの形にそっくりな「魚座」の方向にあり、インドの地図で言えばマドラス市付近です。反対に、私たちの地球は「乙女座」の方向に来ています。「乙女座」付近には秋分点があります。こちらは今宵、午前０時に真南を見れば確認できます。「乙女座」には一等星スピカが輝いてます。全天に２１個ある一等星の中で黄道近くにあるのはこのスピカのみです。天気が回復し、黄砂も過ぎ去ったので、今宵はスピカが見られるチャンスです。スピカを見て現在の地球の公転上の位置を確認しましょう。

　日本列島は数日間、雨模様で気温が低く寒の戻りでしたが、いわば春雨でした。西から高気圧が張り出してるので日本列島は天候が回復し、今日は春らしい陽気が期待できます。太陽の背景には「魚座」がありますが、もちろん確認できません。しかし、「乙女座」のスピカは見えるでしょう。「魚座」半年後の深夜に真南に来ます。

　私たちは安定した地上に住んでいるため、普段、自分は宇宙空間に浮いてることを忘れがちです。一年に２４回来る二十四節気の深夜には真南の星を見て、季節の移り変わりを天体からも確認したいものです。

春分の日について

　春分の日には、反時計回りに公転中の地球から見ると、太陽の位置が「春分点」にあります。「春分点」の位置は黄道十二星座の「魚座」のすぐ南の天の赤道上にあります。もちろん、天には何の印もありません。一方、春分の日の今日、私たち載せ公転中の地球は黄道十二星座の「乙女座」の方角に来ています。図では公転軌道が円になってますが、実際は少し楕円形です。

　ですから、午前０時に真南には「乙女座」が来ています。「乙女座」の一際明るい星は一等星「スピカ」です。この星は２１個ある一等星の中では唯一黄道の近くにあります。

　ところで、地上の位置を示すには緯度と経度ですが、恒星など天体の位置を表すには赤緯と赤経です。例えば、太陽を除いて最も明るい恒星シリウスは赤経 06h 45m、 赤緯 −16° 42′であり、冬のダイヤモンドのカペラは稚内市【北緯４５°】の真上を通過するので赤経 05h 16m 41s、赤緯 +45° 59′です。このように赤緯では北半球上は＋をつけ、南半球上は－をつけます。また、赤経では１５°ずつhをつけ一周２４hです。赤緯も赤経も今日の太陽の位置である春分点の「赤緯±0、赤経0h」を天体の基準点としてます。

　群馬県の今日の日の出は５時４８分、太陽高度は５３°、日の入りは１７時５５分ですから、「昼と夜の長さは同じでなく」、すでに昼の方が７分も長くなってます。私たちは、昼が長くなるこれからの一日一日を有効に使い、自らめざす目標に向かって邁進したいものです。

　On the vernal equinox day, today, the Sun is located at the vernal equinox point when viewed from the Earth which revolves counterclockwise. The vernal equinox point is located on the celestial equator, just a little south of the zodiacal constellation "Pisces". Of course, there are no marks in the sky. Meanwhile, on today, the vernal equinox day, the Earth that we are traveling on is in the direction of the zodiacal constellation "Virgo". In the diagram, the orbit appears circular, but in reality it is slightly elliptical.

　By the way, as you know, while latitude and longitude are used to indicate positions on earth, declination and right ascension are used to indicate the positions of celestial bodies such as fixed stars. For example, the brightest star other than the sun, Sirius, has a right ascension of 06h 45m and a declination of -16° 42', and one of the the winter diamonds "Capella" passes directly above Wakkanai-City in Hokkaido [45° north latitude], so has the right ascension of 05h 16m 41s and the declination is +45° 59'. 　今日は「立春」です。昨日、私は地球の動きを中心に書きましたが、地球から見る今日の太陽は「春分点」から東へ３１５°【１５°×２１】の位置にあります。

　ところで、春分点とは何処にあるでしょうか。

　その場所は、ギリシャ時代にチグリス川とユーフラテス川の形に例えられた「うお座」、及び両河川に挟まれた肥沃な農業地帯に例えられた「秋の四辺形」のすぐ南【図の赤印】にあり、黄道【太陽が通過する道】が天の赤道と交差する所です。「うお座」は「黄道十二星座」の一つで、夏から秋にかけ日本上空を通過するので、春分点の位置を確認できます。もちろん何の目印もありません。今年は３月２０日に太陽は図の位置に、右下から左上に移動して行きます。

　しかし、本日の「立春」では太陽の位置は天の赤道より遥か南にあるので、未だ未だ寒い日が続いても、日照時間は日に日に長くなります。今日の日の出は６時４４分、日の入りは１７時１２分【群馬県】で昼の長さは１０時間２８分です。これからは三寒四温が起こりつつ、寒い日は寒の戻りといわれます。

　それでも、今日から早春であり、寒い中にあっても水仙など植物が地上から芽を出し、ほんの少し春が感じられるでしょう。私たちも、自然の変化を観察しつつ、長くなりつつある昼の時間を有効に使い、身体に強さと柔軟性を求め、自らの目標に向かって邁進しましょう。

「小寒」が寒冷な理由

　二十四節気では１月５日～１９日までの期間が「小寒」です。私たちを載せた地球は一周約９億４０００万kmのやや楕円の公転軌道上を、北極星側から見て反時計回りに毎秒約２９kmのスピードで１年間かけて公転してます。同時に、北極星側から見て反時計回りに２４時間かけて自転してます。

　ところで、今の季節に地球は一体どの辺を公転中でしょうか。また、今の季節は、何故寒いのでしょうか。

　と言っても、宇宙空間には地上のような目印なく、その代わり、太陽系を取り巻く「黄道十二星座」が目印になります。このため、これらの星座により地球の現在の位置を知ることができます。ですから答えは「午前０時に真南に輝く星座」を観察して、現在の地球の公転上の位置を知ります。

　ところで、今の季節では、夕方から明け方まで日本列島を覆うかの如く、巨大な「冬のダイアモンド」が一晩中輝いてます。私は、この「冬のダイアモンド」を初めて自分の目で把握したとき、あまりにも広大なので本当に感銘しました。

　「冬のダイアモンド」は最も明るい一等星シリウスや、オリオン座のリゲル、「牡牛座」のアルデバランなどすべて一等星で成してます。そして、実は、このダイアモンドを成す左上の一角に「ふたご座」があり、現在の地球はこの「ふたご座」の方向に来ています。中心は一等星のポリックスとカストロです。「午前０時に真南をご覧いただく」と現在の地球の公転上の位置は「ふたご座」の方角であることが分かります。

　一方、地球の自転軸は公転面に対し２３．５°ほど傾いたままで公転してます。このため、地上で見ると公転位置によって太陽高度が変化し、結果的に寒暖の差が生じ、現在、北極点が太陽から離れているので「北半球では太陽高度が低くなり」寒冷になります。

今日は冬至です。

　大分、色づいて食べ頃になった金柑です。金柑は風邪に効くといわれており、今日、初めて捥いで食べてみます。実は、私は３日間ほど風邪の症状で苦しみましたが、今日はかなり回復してます。このため、金柑の力で風邪を吹き飛ばしたいです。そして、これからの冬本番を乗り切るつもりです。

　今回の風邪の原因は寒い中で長時間、直径１０cmもあるハクモクレンの大きな葉１０００枚ほどを搔き集め、一気に築山に載せた作業によるものです。もちろんすべて一人で行いました。気持ちは青年でも、今までより体力が低下しているのでしょう。作業そのものは築山が良くなるので楽しかったです。

　ところで、今日は昼の長さが一年で最も短いとされる「冬至」です。今日の地球は「冬のダイアモンド」の方角に来ています。具体的には「アルデバラン」と「ポルックス」の間の方角に来ています。私の住む群馬県では、日の出は６時５１分、日の入りは１６時３２分で、昼の長さは９時間４１分です。調べてみると、根室市では日の出６時４７分、日の入りは１５時４５分で、昼の長さは８時間５６分です。一方、宮古島市では日の出７時１９分、日の入りは１７時５４分で、昼の長さは１０時間３５分と、日本でもかなりの違いがあることが分かります。

　ですから、昼の長さは北に行くほど短くなり、南に行くほど長くなり、北極点では今日を中心として約半年間夜であり、南極点では今日を中心として約半年間昼が続いています。

地球の公転上の位置を知るため、深夜、真南を見る。

　
　今日９月７日は二十四節気の一つ「白露」です。「白露」とは太陽黄経が春分点【魚座のすぐ下】から測って１６５度【赤経１１h】に達したときで、暦では今日がその日です。通常、この頃になると大気が冷えてきて、露ができ始めるころですが、近年の気候変動で、今朝の段階では、未だ植物の葉に露は見当たりませんでした。

　前述は、地球から見た太陽の位置をいいますが、一方、今日の白露で、私たちが住む「地球は一体、公転軌道上の何処に達しているでしょうか。」

　と言っても、宇宙空間には目印があません。しかし、唯一ある目印は考えられないほど遠方に存在し、ほぼ等間隔に並んでいる黄道十二星座【占いに使われる星座】によって、公転軌道上の地球の現在位置を知ることができます。それは太陽と正反対の方向にある星座です。つまり、深夜０時に真南にある黄道十二星座です。白露の今日、地球は「水瓶座」の左端の方向に来ています。

　約２週間後の太陽は、地球から見て「乙女座」達し、ここには「秋分点」があります。この時、私たちの地球は「魚座」のすぐ下の「春分点」の方角に到達します。画像は今宵深夜０時に真南に見える【水瓶座】です。想像以上に大きく、口が下【南】で逆さまに見えます。

今日は処暑・・・地球の公転上の位置はどこでしょう。

　日本で「水瓶座」を見ると逆さまであり、水瓶の底が天の赤道に接してます。南半球で水瓶座を見ると水瓶の口が上を向いてます。今後、秋になって空が澄むと「水瓶座」がはっきり見え、その大きさに驚きます。

　一方、初秋になると、インドの形に似てる「魚座」が頭上より少々東によく見えてますが、「水瓶座」はそのすぐ西隣にあります。また、そのすぐ西には、やぎの頭に似てる「やぎ座」が並んでます。

　このように太陽系の周囲には１２の星座がほぼ等間隔で並んでます。これらの星座は太陽の通り道にあることから「黄道十二星座」と呼ばれてます。この「黄道十二星座」は季節と一致してます。

　ところで、今日は二十四節気の一つ「処暑」です。それでは処暑の今日、私たちを載せてる地球は公転軌道上のどの位置を進んでいるでしょう。

　と言えば、現在の地球は「水瓶座」の方向に来ています。ですから、午前０時に真南を見ると「水瓶座」があります。これは北半球のどの国で見ても同じです。南半球では真北に見えます。これからも、二十四節気と黄道十二星座を結びつけ、地球の公転軌道上の現在位置を捉えましょう。

「小暑」に於ける「地球の公転上の位置」を考える

　アースヴューによる日本時間の今朝５時４０分の地球の姿です。日本列島のすべて、及び、ロシアの半分ほどに太陽光が当たっています。地球はご覧の通り、暗黒の宇宙にほっかり浮いて太陽光が当たっている部分のみが明るくなっており、その他の地域は真っ暗です。常に、この状態で公転と自転しています。

　この地球は北極星側から見て、反時計回りに１周約９億４千万㎞の公転軌道上を秒速約２９㎞の速度で公転しています。一周３６０°ある公転軌道を２４で割ると１５°ですから、二十四節気ごとに地球は１５°公転軌道上を移動してます。

　今日６月２１日は二十四節気の「夏至」です。今日の日の出は４時２６分、日の入りは１９時０５分、昼の長さは１４時間３９分、太陽高度は７７.１°【群馬県】です。私と一年間交流を深めたスペンスさん一家が住むニュージーランドなど南半球では今日は「冬至」です。今でも、彼と娘さんとはフェイスブックで交流してます。

　

　地球は太陽から約１億５千万㎞の距離を保ちつつ、やや楕円の軌道を、北極星側から見て反時計回りに、秒速約２９kmで公転しています。夏至の今日、地球は春分の日にあった位置から９０°東に移動し、「射手座」の方向に来ています。一方、地球から見る太陽は「双子座」の方向にあります。ご存じの通り、「双子座」は真冬に日本のほぼ頭上に輝く巨大な「冬のダイアモンド」の東端にあります。

　ところで、先日、山形の甥から贈られてきた「サクランボ」を食したところ、その美味しさに久々に感銘した私は、「そうだ、サクランボ」を庭で育てようと思いつき、善は急げで、早速、前橋農協の植木センターで高さ１メートル程の苗を購入してきました。ですから、大きく成長した「サクランボ」の木に真っ赤な実が生る日を夢見ています。
