今朝も驚く、マユミの赤さ

　今日１１月１１日は１９１８年（大正7年）にドイツとアメリカ合衆国が停戦協定に調印し、４年あまり続いた第一次世界大戦が終結した日です。主戦場となったヨーロッパ各国では、今日を祝日とし、再び戦争を起こさないようにと設けられた「世界平和記念日」です。また、日本で今日は「介護の日」です。

　ところで、庭では、ご覧のマユミの実は、このマユミの親よりずっと濃い赤になってます。親子なのに不思議なこともあるものです。私は塀のそばの台に植木鉢ごと載せ、前の道を通る人たちの目の高さに置いあります。このため、多くの人の目に留まるでしょう。晩秋から初冬の荒涼とした佇まいの中で、私に「何事にも情熱を持って事に当たれ」と教えているようです。

　私自身、気持ちは青年でも年を重ねつつあります。しかし、今のところ健康です。今朝も６時３０分からのラジオ体操会場まで歩いて行き、多くの方々と挨拶し、歓談し、一日が始まりました。最近考えてることは、日々のウォーキングこそ下半身に筋肉が付き、しかも、「空腹となる」ので健康の基盤です。

　自分は「今どこに居るかと」言えば、常に筋肉の中に居ます。ウォーキングの良さは、走ることと違い、脈が速まらないです。また、呼吸が乱れないです。肺から二酸化炭素を排出し、植物の光合成に因って作り出された貴重な酸素を取り入れる呼吸こそ、スムースな血液循環の基盤と考えてます。

一般住宅を改造し、夫妻で洋食レストランに・・・感銘！

　以前にお目にかけましたが、今日も良く咲いてるので、もう一度庭のサイネリアをご覧ください。これだけ多くの花が長い期間咲いてる植物も珍しいです。その代わり、朝夕、水をたっぷりやらないと萎んでしまいます。

　この秋には温室を作る予定なので、その中で冬を過ごせば来春もよく咲いてくれると期待してます。写真は拡大してご覧ください。

　ところで、今日は埼玉の長女宅まで愛車でドライブし、近くでいっしょに昼食を戴きました。その場所は、一般住宅を改造してご夫妻で洋食レストランを開いており、家庭的でとても雰囲気が良く、落ち着いて美味しく戴けました。改めて、埼玉の環境は緑いっぱいで自然に満ちてることを再認識しました。

いよいよ春が近いか

　大寒の最中にしては、今日はかなり温かいことから花梅の品種名「鹿児島」が―気に咲き出しています。これほど赤い梅の花も珍しいでしょう。先程、井戸水をたっぷり与えたので、これから２月いっぱい咲き続けるでしょう。

　人生に花を咲かせるのは難しいですが、植物は手を加えれば、よく開花します。この梅の木は未だ若いので大きな樹木にしたいと思います。

　この他、あと４本種類の異なるピンクなどの花梅があるので、これから庭は満開になります。ぜひ、「カッキー梅林」を見学にいらして下さい。お茶とピアノ演奏付きです。

　Despite being in the middle of a cold winter in Japan, it's quite warm today, so the flowering plum variety name "Kagoshima" is starting to bloom. This red plum blossom is rare. I gave it plenty of well water this morning, so it will continue to bloom throughout February.

　It is difficult for me to make flowers bloom in life, but plants can bloom well if we take care of them. This plum tree is still young, so I would like to raise it into a large tree.

懐かしいＴ-シャツ着てガーデニング

　今日も庭いじりで、重いものを持ったからでしょう。腰が少々痛く、腰痛には温めると治ることを体験上知っます。

　このため、今日も、汗をびっしょり掻いたので「吉井ドリームセンター」へ行き、２００円の広い風呂に入って来ました。ドライブには丁度良い距離【２０km×２】で往復１時間かかります。これで愛車のバッテリーも上がらないでしょう。

　ところで、写真は高崎高校と前橋高校で毎年秋に行われる定期戦で、We fight to win.のWeは私が７年間、勤務していた前橋高校の生徒が着るユニフォームのＴシャツでした。職員も同じものを着用し、意気を盛り上げたので、今でも家にあり、暑いのでこれを着て作業することがあります。しかし、目立つのでこれを着て、買い物へは行けません。

　Ｔシャツに描かれたダビデ（英: David）は、ミケランジェロ(1475～1564、伊、ネサンス期の彫刻家、画家、建築家、詩人)の彫刻作品で、現在、フィレンツェのアカデミア美術館に収蔵されていると言われます。

今年のサルスベリは猛暑にマッチしてる。

　空の青さに対比し、今朝のサルスベリは殊のほか赤く、思わずシャッターを切りました。実は、今朝の予定は源平枝垂れに生っている推定３００個程の実を撮る予定でした。しかし、暑い夏に負けまいと一所懸命に咲き、誠に大きくなったサルスベリに私の心は魅かれてしまいました。

　サルスベリの育て方で、今年初めて知ったことは「水遣りは枝に蕾が生じてから」です。それ以前に水を与え過ぎるとあまり蕾が出ません。昨年がそうでした。このため、今年はこの反省に立って「６月下旬以降に水やりを始めたのが功を奏しました。」何事もタイミングがあるのですね。蕾が生じてから蕾に栄養が行き渡るように水を豊富に与えます。今朝もすでに根元の池に井戸水をたくさん与えました。

　明後日は二十四節気の「処暑」です。サルスベリは７月上旬に咲き始めましたが、「百日紅」とも書く通り、後一ヶ月以上咲き続けます。

  ところで、幹に掛けてある梯子は私が昇って害虫駆除するためです。また、太陽光が燦燦と降り注いでいたも、サルスベリの下は広い日陰になっていて涼しいです。画像を拡大してご覧ください。お近くの方は大きなサルスベリを実際にご覧ぐたさい。冷たいお茶を差し上げます。日陰で人生について語りましょう。

シャクナゲが 朝から私に 話しかけ

　おはようございます。いよいよ西洋シャクナゲ「銀嶺」が開花し始め、今朝は５個ほどが咲いてます。

待てません 春を先取り する黄色

　ピアノの部屋のそばで蝋梅が見事に咲き誇っており、寒い寒いと凍えてる人間(私を含む)を笑ってるようです。蝋梅にとって、この寒い時季が年間で最もよいステージなのでしょう。それにしても黄色は存在感があります。

　そういえば、私の車も２年前まで黄色でした。どうしても黄色に乗りたくて、ディーラーにドイツに特別注文してもらい、到着まで半年待ちました。そして、黄色には１１年、乗ってました。

　蝋梅はこれからも暫く咲き、次第に白梅枝垂れ、紅梅枝垂れへと連鎖して咲いていきます。満開の蝋梅を鑑賞しながら、ピアノで中田章作曲「早春賦」を弾くのも乙なものでしょう。

　なお、作曲家・中田章は私が７年間、勤めてた「前高校歌」も作曲しました。ですから、「早春賦」も「前高校歌」も最初の三つの音は同じで「ソドミ」で始まります。

新みかぼフィルハ―モニック第４０回定期を聴いて

【群馬県南部に聳える東西みかぼ山】

　昨日は「みかぼ未来館」において、新みかぼフィル第40回定期演奏会を聴き、久しぶりに聴くクラシックサクソフォーンの音色に誠に酔いしれました。

　開演と共に始まったプレリュードでは、アルルの女の名旋律に続き、変ホ長調による『すべてを圧倒するかの如く、洗練されたサクソフォーンの透明な音色』が会場いっぱいに響き渡り、特に高いC、Esの音は誠に透き通り、これでもかと言うほど表情豊かな音色が耳に残ります。Sax奏者・伊織氏の音楽芸術性に改めて敬服です。この素晴らしい瞬間を共有でき、稀に見る幸福感を体験できました。

　続いての間奏曲でも、待ちに待ってたとばかり、哀愁味を含みつつ、これまた滑らかな銘旋律を聴衆にたっぷりと訴え、「音楽美とは演奏者の独創的センスによる」としみじみ感じました。メヌエットの後半でも、主旋律フルートとの掛け合いである対旋律に浮き上がるサックスの音色が光り、参りました。

　肝心のチャイコフスキー５番も久々に拝聴し、特に２楽章でホルンのゆったりした温かみある音色に感銘です。終楽章の圧巻は何と言っても、アレグロ・マエスト―ソ。これを聴き、私は青春時代が蘇りました。もちろん、全体として主旋律担当の第一バイオリン奏者の伸びやかにして躍動的な音楽性とともに、今回は視覚的にも心が満ち足りました。

　聴衆の拍手の力強さからも、アンコールのカルメンはテンポ・リズムにおいて「新みかぼフィルの真の一体化」が感じられ、改めて煌びやかなシンバルによる４拍目と次の1拍目のビゼーの創作が私の心を躍動させ、こんな素敵な音楽にシンバル奏者ご自身も、きっと彼女の生涯心に残る宝の瞬間を味わわれたことでしょう。

　一方、私の席はチェロとコントラバス近くであったことから、低弦奏者の全曲を通じて、揺るぎない音色が心に焼き付き、お陰様で重厚な低弦の響きが堪能できました。いつか、「未完成」をお聴かせください。

　次回予定の「フィンランディア」は私も音楽センターで高商吹奏楽部第５０回記念演奏会、及び前高創立１２０周年記念式典で指揮したことがあり、今からみかぼフィルの演奏を楽しみにしてます。次回は彼女と聴きに行きたい。いい年して何言ってるか！

Dear my friends who are interested in Tchaikovsky

　Yesterday, I listened to the concert of New Mikabo Philharmonic Orchestra's 40th regular concert at the "Mikabo Miraikan" in Fujioka-city, and after a long interval, I was truly enraptured with the timbre of classical saxophone performed by my colleague.

　In the prelude that began with the opening of the program, following the famous melody of L'Arlésienne, the hall was filled with the reverberation of the sophisticated saxophone's transparent tone in E-flat major, with particularly high C and Es. The sound of is truly transparent and the richly expressive tone remains in my heart. Freshly I admire the musical artistry of saxophonist Mr. Iori Yoneyama. I was able to share this wonderful moment and experience by the rare sense of happiness.

　In the following intermezzo, as if he had been waiting, he appealed to the audience with a melancholy and smooth melody. and I felt deeply that "the beauty of music depends on the original sense of the performer." Even in the second half of the Menuet, it left a deep impression on my mind that his tone that emerges as the counterpoint which is the interaction with the main melody flute.

　It's been a long time since I listened to Tchaikovsky's No. 5 symphony, and I was particularly impressed by the warm and spacious tone of the horn in the second movement. Listening to this highlight of the final movement "Allegro Maestoso" made me look back on my adolescence. Of course, as a whole, I was satisfied not only with the relaxed and dynamic musicality of the first violinist whom I was impressed with her visual figure as well.

　From the strength of the audience's applause, the tempo and rhythm of Carmen's encore, "the true unity of the New Mikabo Philharmonic Orchestra," can be felt. With such marvelous music, the cymbal player herself must have experienced a treasured moment that will remain in her heart for the rest of her life.

　On the other hand, since my seat was close to the cello and contrabass, I was able to enjoy the solid sound of the low strings throughout the entire music by the low string players. Someday, I'd like to listen to "Unfinished Symphony" by Schubert.

　I have conducted the "Finlandia" at the 50th Commemorative Annual Concert of the Takasaki High School of Commerce wind orchestra at the Music Center in Takasak-city and at the ceremony of 120th Anniversary Founding of Maebash High School, so I am looking forward to the performance of "Finlandia" by Mikabo Philharmonic Orchestra. I want to listen to it with my sweetheart next time. What do I mean in spite of the good age?

わが青春の １１７も ウクライナ国旗と同色

　現職時代の通勤はすべて「いすゞ１１７クーペ」であり、初代の青で4つの職場に通いました。当時はクーラーの付いてる車は少なく、ご覧の通り、運転席の斜め前に「三角窓」があって、走行中、この窓から涼しい風が室内に入りました。

　一方、現代の車では見かけなくなりましたが、ボンネットの両端にバックミラーが付いており、運転者が首を動かさなくても、後方やサイドの確認ができました。この青い１１７クーペで２６万キロ【地球６周半】走りました。しかし、この頃、この車はすでに販売中止になってました。

　しかし、二台目もどうしてもお気に入りの１１７クーペに乗りたくて、ご覧の黄色は旧車を取り扱う雑誌により、私は長野県で個人売買で買い、帰路はその黄色に乗って来ました。これはグレードが最高です。写真は前橋高校の玄関前で写真屋さんが撮ってくれました。その後、この車のナンバープレートは１１７になりました。

　昨日書きました通り、2台の１１７クーペのボディーカラーはそれぞれ青と黄色で、今振り返るとウクライナの国旗の色でした。仕事とは、大変な面があっても、とりあえず好きな１１７クーペに乗れることから、毎朝、楽しく職場に向かうことができました。

　During my active workplaces, all of my commutes were by "Isuzu 117 Coupe", and I went to 4 workplaces such as Haruna-town by the blue 117 coupe as the first generation. 　今日４月１６日は亡き母の誕生日です。もう３３回忌です。私は６人兄弟の末っ子として生まれました。しかし、昔なので栄養不足で、実は母からお乳が出なかったらしく、姉が高崎の女学校の帰りに私に粉ミルクを買ってきてくれたとのことです。

　しかし、却ってそれが功を奏し、小さかった母から生まれた私は、ミルクにはカルシュームが豊富なため背が高くなりました。「災い転じて福となる」の典型かもしれません。結果的に私の二人の娘も背が高くなりました。

　その母がすごく好きだったのが花でした。母の年齢に達した私はその血統が蘇ったのでしょう。今では、庭は次から次へと花盛りで、多くの人が見に来られます。

　人間とは「思うようにいかないときが多いものです。」でも、諦めず知恵を絞って今後の人生に希望を持ち続けたいものです。何事も「今からでも遅くない」という生き方が大切に思います。

　Today April 16th is the birthday of my late mother. It's already 33rd anniversary of her death. I was born as the youngest of six siblings.
