　今宵、８月１４日の午後８時～１０時頃までは、七夕の星を含む「夏の大三角」が日本上空に図のように並んで見えます。そして、南西に舟の形をした七日目の月がありますから今宵は天文学的に見て本当の七夕の配置となり、旧七夕です。

　七夕の星は右の琴座のヴェガ【織姫星】と、下のわし座のアルタイル【彦星】です。天の川を挟んで二つの星は輝いています。ところで、ヴェガの位置は赤緯＋３８°なので盛岡市から秋田市の真上を東から西へ通過し、アルタイルは赤緯＋８°なので、フィリピン・ミンダナオ島上空を通過します。因みに、白鳥座のデネブの赤緯は＋４５°なので稚内市上空を通過します。

　もしかして今宵は晴れてないかもしれませんが、暫くの間、この３つの一等星はほぼ頭上に見えるので、宇宙空間を公転してる私たちの地球からよく眺めましょう。
